Claire culdn't help but notice Emily's tone as she thought about kissing a slytherin. Claire turned to look at the slytherin table... "They don't look that bad... in fact some of them are quite cute", she said nudging Emily in the ribs playfully.

"Mmmm classes should be interesting, I just hope I do well enough... thats kind of the scary bit. Not being familiar with it." she said looking around at all the other first years. Most of whom didn't seem to have any idea what Hogwarts was like, from its enchanted ceiling, to the moving portaits and staircses, the ghosts and peeves the poltergeist. Claire knew about hogwarts of course, being from a pureblood family. And though she knew she had magical abilities she hadn't had the chance to practise magic yet. This worried her slightly.

"So do we get to share a dorm? or are they organised by year groups?" she asked, hoping that she would be able to share a dorm with her friend.
