Winston blinked at the barrage of questions. "Um. I play football some, and I like to watch Quidditch," he began. "Of course I like to read, and no, I don't play..um. Instruments."

"Do you?"

Well, that was nice. Another Ravenclaw from Charisa's own year, although maybe they were off to a bad start since he really made her want to stick her elbows into her potatoes. Heh. But he didn't ask her what year she was in, so whateverrr. She didn't say anything about it either.

Oh, come now. That was a compliment. Sort of. Charisa smiled and nodded. "No problem." Err, she didn't know his name. "Oh, and I'm Charisa Sokova. You are...?" Eyebrow raise.
"I'm Winston. Clarke." Winston nodded. "If I can give you some advice, I'd advise you not to eat as quickly as you were before. You might choke, and that would be bad." There. He was being nice, right? Saying it would be bad if she choked meant he thought she was a reasonably nice person.

In Winston's mind, at least.

Ellie scooched over to the first year but still kept a good amount of space between them in fear that the boy may explode any second. She sighed and pondered what she could say to get him more relaxed in the Hogwarts atmosphere. "Everyone gets nervous. I was nervous as heck my first year too. This is where your life begins. Everything changes here on out. Even the ceiling and the staircases. Everyone gets scared to death; afraid they'll end up on the wrong floor or in the wrong corridor, or run into the crazy ghost in the 3rd floor lavatory. Don't worry, she stays in the girls bathroom." She reassured him though that wasn't always true. She breathed in. "Your teachers may be scary, but they're here to teach and if you're here to learn, you won't have a problem with them. You may have loads of homework every night, but if you're still here to learn, you'll do great on it. And your tests! You've just gotta take a deeep breath, relax, and say: "I can do this." Hogwarts is one giant family. And if it's too giant for you, then me and the rest of Ravenclaw are here for you too." She said with a friendly smile. "You got this." She said. Wow. Who knew pep talks could be so much fun?
Winston's eyes widened at what the girl said to him. The staircases changed? He had to see that. "Erm," he said. Wow... That was a lot to take in. Winston registered maybe about half of what the girl said.

"I'm not scared of teachers." Lie. "I'm glad I'm a Ravenclaw, though. Ravenclaws seem more focused," he said. Truth. "Thank you for having confidence in me," he said after a less-nervous pause. Truth.

"Also, I'm Winston," he said. Truth?
