He rolled his eyes. What was up with this girl? "If you wanted me to forget it, you just shouldn't have said it," he murmured. Of course she wasn't a guy! He could see that. Why couldn't she just accept his apology and leave it?
Connor watched as her eyes left his, only to return a second later. But when she gave her final answer and moved again, he didn't stop her this time. "Fine." He looked for a moment as she climbed the last couple steps, then promptly turned his back and walked back down the stairs.
He really was no longer in the mood to go back to the Great Hall with all that gingerbread house building and all, but he felt that he better return anyway. After all, he made a big contribution for that candy mess down there, so he at least should clean it up. "That girl is completely incorrigible," he commented to no one in particular when he finally returned to the place he had been sitting. Connor looked down at his seat. Sheesh.. it really was a mess.
He turned to Ryan. "You thought it was funny, at least.. right?" Or maybe he was the only one...
"
I don't care if it was a joke or not...it was upsetting and terrible," she argued with a frown. How could she have been sure he wasn't actually having an allergic reaction? She didn't keep a list of these things. "
I...I didn't know," she stammered. It was bloody embarrassing of him to do that to her too. Make her look like a complete idiot in front of everyone.
Again, he didn't understand. "
Now isn't a good time." He would never get it either cause she was now never going to even consider telling him... As she was walking she stopped where she was when he said 'fine'. It didn't matter. She looked to see him walking off. Good riddance. Lizzie walked ahead, but realized she wasn't in the mood to read anymore.
She headed off to the Astronomy Tower. When she reached it she opened up the door and jogged up the steps. The girl stopped halfway and sat down on one and covered her face with one of her hands as the tears finally came, and she cried. No one could see her here....
