That combination meant magic was about as rare in his house as it was in a Muggleborn's home. Nothing wrong with that, though.
Glancing once more at the ceiling, Winston nodded. "It's brilliant," he said. "I'm Winston." Winston nodded slowly as the Gryffindor girl spoke. Yes, that seemed logical. First years having classes together. "I'm looking forward to potions," he said. "And astronomy, too." Not so much history of magic. All that...history. It sounded incredibly dull. Not necessarily difficult, since little was too difficult for Winston, but it sounded boring. He hated being bored. "What classes do you expect to like?" Elyon nodded back. "I've read all about it in our books. I love to read. Plus, my older brother Christopher told me about how first years are together in their classes." She noticed him glancing at the ceiling, looking puzzled. It looked as if there was no ceiling at all. "I've read about that too." She grinned, pointing at the sky. "It's enchanted to look like the sky outside. It's truly amazing, Hogwarts." She sighed and smiled back at him, so happy to be at this school.
She choked back a laugh, remembering what Adam had said about Kurumi calling the Potions professor 'Dragon Lady.' When she saw the look on his face, she hoped he didn't think she was making fun of him. Elyon cleared her throat. "I'm excited for all of them really, but I'm most excited for Care of Magical Creatures and Transfiguration. I adore animals, and can't wait to see all of the creatures of the Wizarding World as well. As for Transfiguration, I've read about how you turn objects into something else. I think that's simply amazing!" She grinned at the thought of herself turning a hat into a frog. |
