Wowza!

Not waiting this time for Sabel to pour her more pumpkin juice, Greer took it to herself to do it. As she reached for it, the second year spotted a familiar and yawning blond head not too far away from her spot.

Oh!

"LEGEND CHOSEN!"

And where was his half-goblin, Jude Second Year Ravenclaw? Had he sold it already? Or was it safely tied down somewhere?

Then again, while her mannerisms were very mature, the gullible factor which existed in everyone seemed right for the age of twelve.

With a chuckle, he reached out and stopped her hand from scribbling down whatever it was; all he had been able to see was something about the alleged closest trolls. "I was just teasing. Didn't mean to scare you." Patting her hand, he leaned back a little, smiling at her. "You've gotta learn how to relax. Don't be so afraid of everything. You'll know if there's any actual danger." He wouldn't go so far as to say Hogwarts was a safe place due to events in the recent years and with that strange, unnerving man still occupying Vindictus's seat.

His brow furrowed a little more as he watched the Deputy Headmaster yield after Tate seemed to bow under this strange man. That, he did not like one bit. It was the Prefect's words that had him glancing over, a small smile touching his lips as he extended his hand in greeting. "Sabel Dakest. This is Greer McKensie." A slight tilt of his head had him motioning up to the staff dias. "Do you know who the new face is in Professor Vindictus' seat?" Either he would find out now, or he would be making a trip up there very shortly.
Done attracting attention to herself by being perhaps a little too loud, McKensie daintly touched her pencil to the notepad, in order to began taking notes. Before she did so, however, she saw and felt a foreign hand make contact with her very own. Sabel's hand. And he was smiling again, and chuckling again and doing veela things again. And touching her.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McKensie was going to react. She was going to react in the former of hurriedly stuffing her notepad and pencil inside her messenger bag and putting a good distance between him and the boy, but her actions weret put on hold by Sabel Dakest and the other girl, the prefect. Greer eyed her carefully, checking to see if the prefect was, too, affected by Sabel Dakest's Veela Ways. There were no signs as of yet, though Greer knew by experience (ahem) that it could change. Or, judging that she'd most likely been here longer than Greer, and had seen Sabel enough around the common room, maybe the girl had grown used to him?

Perhaps. It was fascinating, all the same, and it gave McKensie hope. She'd undoubtedly get used to the boy's charms, too, regardless of the dimples, then. She rubbed a flushed cheeks, in hopes to make the rosy tone go away. "Hi! Nice to meet you, miss." Because it was good to remain on the authorities' good side, Greer offered the older girl a friendly smile.

Introductions made, Greer shifted her stare back to Sabel. Sabel and his Compulsive Pumpkin Service Ways, and Smiling and Winkling and Laughing. Dear Lord, what a menace. "Impertinent!" Said at last the child. "You called me old!" HU HU. Greer was, in fact, pleased. After all, she was deemed as childish, more often than not. Childish, naive and a cry baby, though admittedly, she was all that. "I'm not afraid," She retorted, jutting out her chin. "I'm a brave Gryffindor, not some Ravenclaw Owl Head! I'm just being cautious." Idly, Greer tapped her bottom lip as she often did when thoughtful. "My mum thinks I should be cautious because I'm so guillable. I think that's the word she uses, anyways. I'm actually pretty sure she'd frown upon me telling you all this--giving information to a complete stranger, and all."
