Here was one Ravenclaw prefect. Now he just had to locate Finlay and he'd be set. Of course, he didn't think he'd ever really met Finlay, just heard tales from Neptune, but the badge would be a direct give-away. And how could she miss such a genuine smile like that.
Grinning excitedly, Ivory plopped herself down next to Kellen and felt her grin widen at the sight of his own badge. "Head boy, huh? Doing good Stern!"
Somehow his way of speaking made her want to act like one of the guys for some reason and before she could censor her movements she actually reached a hand out and clapped him on the back. Manly like. "Quite fun, ol' bean." Well he was old, him being a seventh year and all. " Eeeh scratch the bean part, odds are you don't like being called a bean." She for one didn't feel too fond of it herself.
Her nervousness dwindling away now that she'd found someone she knew, Ivory burst into the most words she'd said all day. "There was the wedding, Arya's brother you know, and that was loads of fun...Oh and we ended up going on a family vacation. Hit the beach, some amusement parks that were fantastic. One of them even almost put the Gringott's carts to shame. Almost. And then..." She took a quick breath and let it out in more words. "My little brothers and I stayed with our new great aunt while my parents went to research some plant or other in Italy. Which was interesting to say the least. Much cleaning... Tell me do I smell of moth balls and old people? Because I honestly feel like I spent enough time in the attic for the smell to be infused in my skin. " Exhaling a sigh that sent a tendril of hair flying away from eyes, she shook her head ruefully at the tedious memories of her great aunt and her disapproving demeanor on everything that was her. "But anywho, then we all met up here in London for shopping and whatnot and then I got my letter and well you could've knocked me over with a feather with how surprised I was to have a badge. Aaand you wouldn't believe-" Quote:

The Head Boy.
And she was right to have found him at the Ravenclaw end, he was with the female prefect by the looks of it. The badge was hard to miss on his uniform and the seventeen year old approached him with a smile. "Thought I'd come introduce myself, we'll probably be working a lot with each other this term" she smiled softly, trying not to let her current mood bring her down. "Well I'm Trixie. Trixie Malfoy, Head Girl obviously" she glanced down at her own badge and then back up.
She glanced across at the prefect and smiled at her too.
She cut off her rambling politely as the Head girl approached them. Which was probably a good thing considering she'd probably just broken the record for the amount of "And then's" said in one small span of time. Her summer now forgotten she and glad to see that the older girl was in a slightly happier mood, Ivory smiled back cheerily. "Hi, Trixie." They'd met but it probably wasn't under the best of circumstances and there'd been sooo many epople in that compartment; Maybe she should introduce herself again... "I don't think I introduced myself very well on the train, sooo....Hello officially, I'm Ivy." Quote:

Trying to stop the rampant spread of Lord of the Rings discussion."
It was a legitimate concern, in his not-so-humble opinion. "Aha so that's where you were." There was no doubt in her mind who the culprits were considering she herself loved to partake in the same conversations. Sadly she'd spent most of the train ride just roaming around so she'd probably escape the Ravenclaw table in a bit to go spend some quality time with her best friend. But for now..."For what it's worth I think its a justifiable excuse." Grinning at the head girl, she looked back and forth between the two of them."So guys how does it feel to be head people?"
