Hogwarts RPG Name: Amur Neverwinter Fourth Year | ~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~ Quote:

"My mum always says that honesty and politeness should go hand in hand because otherwise people's feelings are fragile."
Training her eyes back to the staff table, she tapped her bottom lip with her index finger. "Status and politics?" Her pale eyebrows shot up, attempting to get lost under her curly fringe, "I'm too young to know of that!" Duh. She was only twelve, not even a teenager--and thank Merlin for that.
Pushing aside all thoughts of politics and status because quite frankly, it made her sleepy, Greer looked very seriously at Sabel. "No, we don't. My friends and I are not like that. Do you know of Lulu and Janie? We never fight for spots of anything! We even take turns to use the jungle gym!"
And the jungle gym was serious business. Everyone knew that. "Honesty should come with an attempt at politeness, but when politeness cannot be achieved, the honest truth should still be told." A slight shrugged came off his shoulder. "People don't grow or become strong if they are always treated like China dolls." He wasn't trying to be cynical, or say that people should be deliberately hurt, simply that being protected and sheltered often made for worse outcomes and more pain in the long run.
But now was not the time to think of such things, and he shook his head slightly to clear himself of the memories and focus on Greer's protest. He couldn't help but smile at her honest innocence, and he wasn't about to argue points of biology with her. "Fair enough. Some do then. It would seem you and your friends are superior in your moralities and values of sharing. It is to be commended." Tilting his head, he gave her a playful smile. "You still haven't told me why you asked about my casting abilities. Surely it is not to defend the jungle gym from territorial boys."
