He repeated slowly, a slight nod leaving his head as he placed the pitcher back on the table, doing his best to try not to get riled up by what seemed to be going on at the staff table. "Despite your lack of inclination for being grateful for a meeting, I find every introduction a friendship in the making until otherwise proven impossible. Therefore, I will say that it is a pleasure to meet you."
Once again his eyes found the staff table, the amusement dying down for concern to replace it. "And you are highly opinionated. A quality I cannot state as negative for I'm of the same way, though I've learned to somewhat mind my tongue." That wasn't to say he was aware of how absent his words were getting, his ears straining to hear the conversation going on at the head table. "Constipated...is one way to put it I suppose." Greer's brown eyes had remained glued to the professor's table, watching with detachment and faint boredom as the flying instructor and the nameless, and intimidating-looking man seemed to argue. Or rather, Professor Vindictus seemed to argue--the man looked like he was enjoyed himself.
"Sabel Dakest," Greer stated, feeling the need to be formal, to match Sabel's own formal self, "Stop rambling, and explain to me why do males always feel the need to mark their territory? Like dogs?" Because that's what Professor Vindictus and the other man were doing. "Or is it something that old people like Professor Vindictus do? To make themselves feel younger?"
Battle of the egos? Hmmmm.
Sabel's dimples were still more interesting that those old people, however, so McKensie watched them with some interest.
