It was the best news she had heard all day. Her sorting could not even compare to this feeling.
"Thank you, a lot. You honestly have no idea what that answer means to me. And I'll be there. I promise. I will work my butt off to prove I deserve a place on that team!" That much was for certain. If she did not have the skill of the older students she would simply out work them. One way or another she would prove her chops and only then would the boy standing across from her make his decision.
"Do you know if I can borrow a broom to practice for try outs?" Perhaps her question was a too soon having just been sorted, but she was going to start to prepare for try outs as soon as they gave her the okay. Simon nodded to confirm what he had said when the girl voiced the shock that was clearly evident in her young features. "You're welcome and I'll be certain to look forward to your performance at try-outs," he spoke momentarily wondering if all potential players would be this hard-working or at least as she appeared to be. "Umm... you should probably ask Professor Vindictus about that," he replied unsure how that worked since when he had never borrowed a broom before classes or the tryouts. "He's the Quidditch and flying professor and in charge of the school brooms. He usually sits to the left of the Headmaster," Simon informed her, supplying the last bit of information since he realixed she didn't know the professors at all.
He glanced briefly up at the staff table to see if he was there frowning slightly when he spotted a stranger in the spot. "He's not here yet," he told Selina not wanting a mix up before the boy let her alone for the other conversations she had wound up in.
