With her hand still extended, she turned her attention to the boy who had just offered up the cup of problematic pumpkin juice. "It happens to the best of us, mate." She grinned, speaking of his dilemma he had with said pumpkin juice. "I'm sure if Lilyana here doesn't want it, I'll polish it off." Who was she to turn down food or something to drink?
Not quite trusting himself to stop watching the strange-veela-inquiring girl, Sabel turned his head only halfway to listen to one of the others he had offered the pumpkin juice to. He would have remained that way if manners hadn't gotten the best of him and forced him to turn his full attention to her, giving her a small smile at her words. "That's good to know."

Seeing as how he already had the pitcher of juice in his hand, he figured there was no harm in pouring a second, just incase they both wanted a glass. Sliding it towards the two of them, he gave a polite nod of his head. "Sabel Dakest and...." His eyes went back to the strange girl beside him, still unsure of what to call her. Speaking of which....

Not that the boy wasn't charming on his own right --and he was--, but he did not seem to be as verbose as Greer would expect a veela to be.

Hmmmm. "How do you know it was a compliment?" Inquired Greer, quite cheekily, her scottish accent more prominent than usual. "For all you know, I was just asking to be cautious; veelas are dangerous creatures, you know." But then she grinned to show that she was being facetious (sort of, anyway), and nodded in thanks at the offer of pumpkin juice. "Are you familiar with beautifying spells?" Maybe that's where he'd gotten his dimples from.
"Veelas are dangerous." Sabel responded simply, handing the pumpkin juice to the curious creature before him. "But then, you asked me if I was decent at protection spells, which implies that you aren't worried about my being dangerous. Useful maybe, but not dangerous. Hence, why I guessed compliment." A self-concious, one-shouldered shrug left him. "Then again, I was guessing. Didn't really know how to take your words." She was strange after all, but he was pretty sure addmitting that would be rude.

"I don't know any beauty spells." Once again the frown was present. "Why do you ask? You look fine as you are...." His words trailed off as his eyes flicked to the staff table. There was a floating chair and Professor Vindictus talking to a strange man sitting next to Tate. What in all of Merlin's tangled beard was going on up there?
