And I'm pretty sure it hasn't moved yet." she said rolling her eyes and cocking her right eyebrow. "And I'm telling you those licorice wands are just staring at me and tempting my rumbling belly." as if on cue her belly rumbled slightly and she rubbed it making a yah see look towards her Slythie friend.
"Well how are you? You're the only one I've seen on the train yet....but there are too many firsties and newbies running around so it's hard to find anyone." she said with a little giggle as she looked around mischieviously....too many little ants scurrying around...ugh...
"But I guess that means you get to meet new friends along the way, which I have met quite a few. " she leaned in close and whispered under her breath, "and some pretty cutie boys!" yeppers Satine boy crazy now...o no not her.
Iris grinned and rolled her eyes.
"Oh, of course. I'm sneaky.... I got your hints." She whispered back, with a small giggle.
She listened to Satine as she spoke, and Iris groaned in exasperation.
"Ahh.... tell me about it! Why can't all these little first years just go hungry 'til the feast?! I used to. But then again... I used to be scared of the trolley lady." Iris laughed and sighed, looking at Satine. As the purple-haired girl's tummy rumbled, Iris laughed, loudly.
"You really ARE hungry, aren't you?" See, Iris thought she was hungry, but at least her tummy wasn't yelling out in protest like that.
"I'm pretty good. I've seen Aaron, Fallon and Wesley... I've just escaped from the Prefects compartment to come get something to eat." Iris looked at Satine with a mellow look.
"I better get some sweets for everyone else.... Just in case." She laughed and crossed her arms.
"Lots of first years, yes. Were we this hyperactive six years ago? I don't remember being this hyperactive..." And if she WAS... Well, she must have wiped that bit from her memory. After all, who'd want to be an annoying, loud, giddy midget?
She nodded at Satine's words.
"Yeah. I guess you're right..." Iris smiled at Satine as she mentioned cute boys.
"Oh really?" She raised her eyebrow with a knowing grin.
"Cute as in... dateable cute? Or... just "N'aww, ain't he cute?" cute?" Iris knew that Satine wanted a boyfriend... and she really was going to help her. Though, she didn't like Aaron's idea of trying to get her with Jimbo. They were both too eccentric. They wouldn't work out. Or so, Iris didn't think so .
And anyway, she had her own dating plans for Jimbo. He just didn't know it, yet. And neither did Wesley. But Iris was determined to make them happen. They'd be good for each other.
Iris was pulled out of her thinking when some first years ran off, arms full of goodies
. "So... Anything new on the boyfriend front?" She asked her Ravenclaw friend.
