She had just boarded the train not to long ago.
A few long minutes had passed before she had spotted a tall familiar figure leaning against a compartment door. A familiar she assumed to be Kellen, it was a bit difficult to tell from behind, but who else looked like that? All...Stern-y. "What makes you think his shoelaces are loose?" Sure she had grown a bit over the summer, but she was still able to sneak up behind her taller friend and press her forehead against the compartment without jarring him much, eyes looking down for loose shoelaces. Lifting his foot a little, he glanced back at it and then at Stern. "Ah, the threat just grants me a wider passage; people tend to avoid a walking accident." Pushing himself away from the door, he made room to open it. "That is, except for you..."
His words trailed off as his eyes caught yet another face suddenly pressed up near the glass. Blinking between Arya and Kellen, he drew the door open fully and stepped back. "You two look like a bunch of spectators at the zoo; it's kinda creepy." And there was something mightily different about Kellen since he had last seen the boy. Kellen smirked down at the Hufflepuff, indicating the shoes of one Sabel Dakest, "I saw him trip-shuffling all the way down the hall. And the inconvenient thing about accidents, Sabel, is that they tend to be accidental. I'm worried about the first years who don't know you yet."
Since he didn't really care to stand in an open door, Kellen stepped into the compartment after his friend. He swore, in the slightly-more-than two weeks they'd been apart, Sabel had grown even more, "Maybe we do, but you seem to be staring a good amount also. Eyelids stop working?" |
