He heard a whisper he didn't quite catch. Wait, what?! Destroy a muggle. WHAT? He probably heard wrong so he decided to ask before freaking out. "Kurumi? What's this all about?" maybe she knew. She was the one who whispered that after all.
Kurumi jumped back so far that she nearly went crashing into the trolley - that would have been a disaster. Candy rolling all over the floor...not to mention all the chocolate frogs that may have escaped and then melted into tiny puddles of chocolate goo. "
S-S-S-Simon," she gasped catching her breath. "
S-S-S-Sorry, you startled me." She saw Simon pointing to the Quibbler in her hand. "
Oh, this? Well, um, this is a wizarding paper," she explained rather lamely. Simon probably already knew that much.

Alarming? What was alarming about the article about Nargles again? Nargles didn't exist. He was about to point that out when he noticed the page she was referring to. "The Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, it...," it's complicated, "...allows Muggles to not find out about us," at all costs. Shudder.
But, yes, that was the main thing.
Kurumi titled her head to the side. "
Allows non-magical people to not find out about us?" Kurumi asked raising an eyebrow. She wasn't sure that allow was the right word. She quickly scanned the bottom part of that article mentioning the statue. "
It doesn't seem like such a good statue after reading this." She had completely ignored his cupcake comment. Her overly curious brain was stuck within the pages of this mysterious paper.
