Jake hadn't spoken... he wasn't the best at starting up a conversation.

Greingoth. That made the corners of Jake's mouth twitch as he recognised the name, but said nothing of it; he knew it sucked to be known by a last name. Well, it did to him and he believed that basically everyone thought the same.
The young man stuck out his hand and shook Alex's whilst Lolcat stretched out and eyed Jake with displeasure.
"I'm Jake." Just Jake... it was easier that way.
"You a transfer or something?"
Couldn't be a firstie... looked too old. Jake let go of Alex's hand and stroked Lolcat who instantly started purring.
