"Well, all of his sons were born Squibs," he started to say, before shaking his head, "Not that that's reason enough to do it, but perhaps he was one of those pureblood families, you know? And it was very long ago, so, perhaps that was it and maybe the man lost his mind," there had been no record of the man entering St. Mungo's nor what ever happened to him after people found out about the transfiguration stunt.

If he could get on a chocolate frog card, then with enough imagination so could Treyen. He eyed Thaddeus and looked back at Vashti, "This is a real knarl, you know, I didn't transfigure anyone, just in case," he hated the idea of turning someone into something they were not, which was rather ironical that he thought Thaddeus Thurkell's story to be amazing. Perhaps it wasn't the story itself?

Yeah, well, whatever.

Huh? His face froze, "You play? Quidditch?" he asked, do every single girl at Hogwarts played Quidditch now? Well, except Arya.

Did she not know about Nolan? Oh, his heart was broken, seriously, and no we are not being dramatic at all. "Yes, Nolan Reynolds, the Divination Professor--I--like Divination," and he was NOT afraid of people knowing that, he was great in Divination.
Gah, she shouldn't have asked, should she? Now she looked like she didn't know the story - which she didn't, of course, but she hadn't wanted him to know that. Ah well. At least she'd only said she'd heard of him, not that she'd read about him. Then she'd have a problem. "I'd say he'd have to have lost his mind at least a little, even if he was Pureblood," she replied. "I mean, even if they were Squibs, don't Wizarding families usually just send them into the Muggle world? Turning them into hedgehogs just because they can't do magic is crazy."

Oh, now Treyen was defending himself. He thought that she thought he might've transfigured someone into a hedgehog/knarl too? Heh. "I believe you," Vashti said. "You don't seem like the type to transfigure people into hedgehogs, anyway."

"When I can, I do," she answered. "Usually as a Chaser." Best position ever, in her opinion. "What about you?"

Oh! Reynolds! Oh yeah, she remembered him now. Nolan was his first name? She didn't know that, but then, she hadn't attended very many Divination lessons. "Oh, I see," she said. "So he's not going to be here this year?" That was a shame. She might not have attended the classes often, but she did like the professor when she did. He certainly hadn't been one of those crazy, weirdo, "IIII caaan seee youurrr fuuuutuuuureee" type of person that Vashti generally associated with the subject.

Wait! Lockhart! Gilderoy Lockhart! Now Vashti remembered where she'd seen that name before. "Are you related to Gilderoy Lockhart, by any chance?" she asked suddenly.
