He smirked at Destiny looking distinctly ruffled and tried hard not to snort in laughter.

"Aw, thanks Evelyn. That means a lot coming from you," he grinned.

Thing was... he wasn't even joking.



Nodding as Ivan spoke as he inspected the book, Jake glanced at the boy. "You two boyfriend and girlfriend?" he asked, making what he thought might be pleasant conversation.



"It's fantastic. Thank you so much, Lexers," Jake smiled and refrained from getting stuck into the book straight away.

Laughing at the glare Lexi shot Evelyn, Jake tapped her on the shoulder and pointed past her, towards the door. "Him," he beamed, pointing at his father.

And through the gap between Lexi and Ivan, Jake saw the man himself. He diverted immediately and headed straight over to him.

"Hey dad," Jake grinned, and, ignoring the fact that the man was trying to look cool, he pulled him into a hug.

He was bigger now. He could do that.

"Thanks!" Jake smiled and chuckled. "I was brought up muggle... it's all good," he explained, before ripping off paper.
