James was talking with other sixth years, betting who would be the Hogwarts champion when the Headmaster started talking. He didn't clap when he introduced the Malfoys because, well, they were Malfoys. He applauded with everyone else when the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons champions' were called, but he stood up and cheered when his cousin was named Hogwarts champion. Sure she was a Slytherin, but that didn't matter when they were family.
James stopped clapping and fell silent with the rest of the Great Hall when the Goblet shot out another name, and his eyes went wide with shock when his brothers name was called out. He blinked owlishly for a moment before muttering, "I'm having the strangest feeling of Deja Vu" he said, thinking of his Dad when he was chosen to be a fourth Champion.
