No, the only thing lost was reason. Children often overlook the terrible stories of Knockturn alley, ignore the warnings, and think they can get the better of the place.

And now, it seemed, the child was trying to stare her down. After looking her up and down a few times, the woman stared back with her piercing green eyes. And, after trying to explain away her actions, she noticed a glint of mischief, or otherwise of pleasure, in the little girl's eyes.

"What is your name?", she finally asked in a low voice, still clutched to the girl's arm. She knew that if she could get the girl out of here without any trouble, it would be grand, but there were only so many ways do do it, and none of them were good ideas. Perhaps it wasn't possible...

Then the pale woman turned, still holding the girl, to see Demian Andromalius; A ghost she had encountered once or twice before. "Mister Andromalius, sir, please accept my deepest apologies," she crooned, looking back to the girl "I was simply on my way to this fine establishment, when, lo and behold, this little girl comes dashing out! And I think to myself, 'How odd that she's down here all alone...'"

She turned back to Demian, who was gazing into the dusty mirror, "Had I remembered your distaste for such ruckus, I would have kept her in the alley."
Damian dropped her mask. The smile in her eyes now was reflected in her face as well.
"Damian" she replied to the woman. "Slytherin" the last word she spoke out slowly, tasting every letter of it.
She turned to face the ghost and smiled at him. "Damien Andromalius, huh?" she thought to herself. She'd never seen a ghost before. Damian always imagined it to be a bright pale light without any particular form, but she never expected a ghost to be attractive, in an awkward way.
Damian turned her head to face the woman again. She couldn't read her face. For the first time, her compulsion didn't work.
"Damn it..." a wave of rage came across her face. But then she realized something. If the woman would have wanted to do something to her, she would have done it by now. The door to The Coffin House was right next to them. She could have taken her in and cursed her by now. Then again, maybe Damian shouldn't have told her that she's related to Salazar.
Damian notice how the woman looked at her. "I'm sixteen..." she said quietly. Damian didn't know why it was important for her to point that out, but she was getting tired sometimes that she was taken for 12 years old child just because she wasn't that high.
Damian felt silly for a moment for pointing her age out. She already dropped her mask, why not give the actual reason for her being in Knockturn Alley...
Damian looked in the woman's eyes once more, this time with her real - thinking and slightly evil - face expression.
"I was here because..." she didn't know how to put this right. "My father was once here. And his mother was here. This place used to have a lot of my family related stuff. Like the Slytherin locket. I was blindly hoping to walk in and see it, even though I realize it's gone. Lost would be the right word, I suppose. I saw my father only right before he was killed. More like... destroyed..."
Damian took a deep breath but didn't continue. She didn't know how to continue.
She turned her face away from the woman's eyes. She didn't want her to see any pain or ghostly tears. She really wasn't a child.
