Thanks for the reply Emily!
Here's the next part!
“Seneca, where have you been? And why are you covered in dirt?” Emily jumped at me as soon as I entered the common room.
“Outside.” I replied curtly.
“Outside? It’s after curfew.” she stated.
“I know.”
“What were you doing outside?” she continued. Lily caught sight of me and ran over to us.
“I cant-,”
“Seneca! What happened to you?” Lily interrupted.
“Ugh. It’s none of your business. I can’t tell you. I’m sorry.” I added looking at their faces.
“Why not?” They asked in unison.
“Because… I just can’t. Can you please just leave me alone? I need time to myself.”
“It’s not you mum, is it?” Lily asked.
I glared at her then said: “No, it’s not.”
Emily elbowed her in the side and gave her a look that said, Shut up and don’t mention that.
“Sen- Seneca?” Lily spun around.
I had already left their presence and was stalking up the dormitory steps.
“No, just leave her.” I heard Emily say.
I woke up early the next morning. I had fallen asleep, crying. So many things were going through my head. My dad, my mum, my brother, Remus, Emily and Lily.
“You ok?” I heard a voice ask.
Emily was watching me. Since it was Friday, she sat on her bed, brushing her blonde hair, already in her robes, and ready for her first class.
“Yeah,” I murmured, pulling out my Gryffindor robes from my trunk.
“You wanna tell me about it?”
“No.” I said solemnly, “I can’t.”
She shrugged. “I’ll be in the Great Hall if you need me.”
“K,” I muttered.
I slowly got changed, taking my time to tie my shoes, then pulled my red hair into a braid. Stuffing my wand into my back pocket, I made my way down the stairs to the common room.
Turns out, Emily never even made it past the kids crowded in the circular room.
“Seneca!” I looked up as my name was shouted.
Lily sprinted, yes sprinted, over to where I had stopped.
“Seneca! How are you?”
“I’m fine,” I said impatiently.
“Come here.” before I could even say anything she pulled me back to the sofa and two chairs around the fireplace.
Emily was sitting on the arm of Sirius’s chair, who looked well and unscathed. James was sitting on the couch and he was staring at me.
I averted my eyes.
“I found her.” Lily said happily to Remus who was sitting in the other armchair.
“Thanks, Lily.” he smiled then turned to me. “Can we talk?”
“Of course.” I mumbled.
He took my hand then headed towards the mostly empty corridors.
“I’m sorry,” he kept saying to me.
“For what?” I asked
“Seneca, you almost got killed last night.” he pointed out.
Remus had led me to the Room of Requirement. He had paced back and forth, then a large door appeared. Inside was a small, comfortable room, with a large squishy sofa and a roaring fire.
I leaned back.
“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have followed Sirius and Snape out onto the grounds.”
“You were just curious. There’s nothing wrong with that.” He changed his position to look directly at me, “And no, it’s my fault. I should have told you.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” I whispered. Tears were beginning to fall down my cheeks.
“Well, I can’t exactly go around telling that to people. And I was afraid.”
“Of what?” I asked.
“I was afraid that you’d run off. I don’t want to lose you.”
I looked the boy over, from his light brown hair to his tattered robes.
“I love you Seneca Wilson.” he said finally.
I didn’t reply.
Remus flushed a deep pink then turned away.
“I’m sorry.” he mumbled.
“Remus, I can’t take this right now.”
He studied my red face.
“With this and my mum, I’m sorry, Remus…” I broke off crying, but I was finally able to stutter, “I have to go to class.”
I stood up from the couch and left the Room of Requirement.
K, tell me what you think!
