On the left side of the pitch you will find the nine to eleven-year-old group A. This group holds the beginners to little experience flyers. In this group, students will use training brooms to learn basic flying and balancing skills. Children in this group will follow the lead of their Professional teachers to learn how to fly and maneuver a broom. Once they start showing improvements and get used to flying, they can try their hand at one of the basic obstacle courses, where they must weave around the poles set up there. Mastered the obstacle course? Try racing with one of your new friends from camp! As the children progress, they can try out their newly learned balancing skills by getting a chance to throw a soft replica of a quaffle to each other while flying in the air.

If a child does not bring their own broom, there are some available for the day supplied by Quality Quidditch Supplies. There are training brooms and youth brooms for this group, both with a set speed and height. The youth brooms are a little faster and higher than training brooms for younger children.

Giles made his way to the pitch, broom in hand. Was he early? He looked around. Taking up his position on the left side of the field he figured the others would be coming and then the kids would be overly excited. Which really made him smile. Man he wish he could have brought Gabby to this, but she was too young and muggle, so that wasn't going to happen. The down side to giving back to an orphanage when they were mostly muggle.

He had gotten the owl with instructions so he knew the brooms wouldn't be too high for the beginning flyers. It would be so fun to teach them. He adored children and couldn't wait for them to come so they could get started. Thinking about everything they could do to help them he wondered if a cushion charm was needed, but then he thought if the broom was low to the ground maybe they wouldn't need one.

Setting his own broom off to the side, he didn't know if he really needed it, but of course brought it. If they needed some examples he wouldn't mind flying it around a bit.

Alice was excited. EXCITED! Yes, today was the day she got do learn about quidditch and from the pros! Hopefully they wouldn't treat her like a baby. She was almost old enough for Hogwarts! Well, in another two years. But that's almost. Right? Right.

She wondered if Tabby was gonna be there. Her big brother's half sister was like a famous seeker or something, right? She doubted she would be. What about the Magpies' Seeker, Derry? She was a good seeker and a redhead to boot. Clearly a good role model for Alice. But the Nine-year-old had no idea what position she would wanna play or anything.

"The first step is flying.. Really flying." She couldn't wait to fly. So many days sitting in her yard, watching her pet Raven, Diaval fly around and wishing so bad to be able to fly with her best friend. Well, other than Oliver. But he was her brother, did he really count as a best friend? Pfft. Maybe.

She was a little nervous about meeting famous people. Now the kids her own age, they should be nervous meeting her. THE Alice Lupin. She figured she'd probably be the prettiest girl there. At least that's what she told herself earlier in her mirror at home. Her red hair and blue eyes would make her stand out for sure!

Right, there was a man. Maybe he could help? "Excuse me? Are you one of the players?" She did her best to sound polite, which she often felt sounded like an act. Even if it wasn't, which this time it wasn't. If he was gonna help he she should be nice, yeah?

QUIDDITCH CAMP!

Ava Burton was SOOOOOO excited about this camp. Finally she could feel how fun to fly with a broom and play Quidditch. It would be her first experience! Her mother never allowed her to fly with a broom because she was a GIRL and TOO young for that. Huft, Zhenny made into the house team for two years and she's a girl too! Lucky that her mother allowed her and Teddy to attend the Quidditch camp. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!

The 10-year old girl ran impatiently to the pitch then she realized that her twin brother was left behind. "Teddy, come on!" She shouted to him. Why he was so slow? Wasn't he excited to for this? Ugh. Teddy was always being slow. So, what would they learn today? Flying? Chasing the quaffle? Hitting the bludger? The last one seemed fun. She saw an older man (Giles) was there, maybe he was the instructor. "Hello, sir." She greeted him with a HUGE and EXCITED smile. Oooh, look! They also provided the broomsticks! "Can I pick the broom?" She asked.

Also, there was a girl (Alice) there. "Hi!" She waved at her.

Nervous Teddy waved goodbye to his big sister and walked towards the left side of the pitch. Fastie-pants Ava was running off, then told him off for being so slow. "I'm COMING Ava," he said, loud enough that she would hear, and he quickened his pace towards Group A. His hands were knotted together, he was scarednervous about flying for the FIRST time, but he was also excited, like… like on Christmas morning. He gulped, took a breath and waved to the people who were not over eleven, and obviously, he thought, were their instructors. "Hi I'm… I'm Teddy Burton," he said, quietly but trying to inject some confidence in there. Because he was sure he would NEED confidence to fly.

Jacen simply stood there, as his eyes glanced from one kid to another. There was a tall guy up ahead, and he assumed that he’s going to be one of the flying instructors. He’s not that familiar with Quidditch and its rules, seeing that it’s not his sport, but he’s a little nine year old who’s curious about flying. What kind of kid would he be if he disliked being in the air, right?

The tiny half Japanese child moved closer to the group and wondered if there will be more of them? He wondered too if he’s going to see his brother’s favourite Tutshill Tornados Seeker. The thought passed by quickly though, when he turned his attention to those who are in his bracket. He gave them all a small, shy smile, and a polite bow. “Hello.” He said softly in Japanese. Realizing his mistake, Jace straightened up, his face a bit red, and introduced himself properly. In English. “Hi. M-My name’s Jacen Reed.” Cue the small wave, and sheepish grin.

Look at the kids, weren't they just adorable. Giles really adored children and he was very excited about doing this today. Giving them all beaming smiles he glanced at the first girl to show up. He couldn't help but smile at her excitement, "Flying is most certainly the first step. Hello, I'm Giles Low." He nodded at the girl, "What's your name?" They would get started shortly.

Seeing another child he smiled at her, "Hello, are you ready for some flying today?" Of course she was that's why they were all here wasn't it. He glanced at the brooms and gave her a little wink. [b] "Just with your eyes right now. We'll all get started once everyone is here. So right now you can look and pick one in your head then when it's time you can grab it.


"Well hello Teddy, how are you today? I'm Giles." He figured the girl that was eagerly wanting a broom was his sister maybe? They looked a bit alike. This was truly going to be such a great day! "Well get started very soon." He probably should have had a list to make sure they were all there, but that was the check in's job he assumed.

Seeing another child walk over to them he smiled at his Japanese. "Hello, I'm Giles. Are you ready to do some flying?" Some looked more nervous then others, he hoped that the nerves would go away quickly. This was going to be fun and there was no danger when the professionals were around to help.

See? He really should start making friends, because apparently, his dad was able to find someone to talk to back at the stands. Jace waved back at his father as soon as he saw pointing at him. Probably he was introducing him to his new lady friend?

Jacen snapped his head back as he heard the older guy talk to him. If it were his sensei, he’d be asked to wipe the dojo floor with a rag as punishment for having his attention elsewhere. The boy looked up and felt relieved. He was friendly at least. But...how should he greet him? Does he use the man’s first name, or last? Is Giles his last name or first? Assuming that it’s not rude to call his instructor by his first name, Jace went on to greet him. Besides, it was the only name he supplied in his introduction. “Nice to meet you, Giles-san.” He replied as he gave him a small bow in greeting and a grin. At least his pronunciation of L went smoothly this time. His classmates back in his new school in New Castle made fun of him every time he pronounces his ‘L’ as ‘R’.

Oh the woes of being a half foreigner.

Jacen looked up and tilted his head at the man, not sure on how he’d answer his question. “It’s going to be my first time flying, Giles-san. I’m...I’m a bit nervous to get off the ground. Is...Is it easy?” Clueless kid is clueless.

Broom? Check! Bottles of water? Check! Hair in great condition? Check check check!

Broom slung over his shoulder and a hand raking through his hair every now and then, Alec made his way onto the pitch. Being a Quidditch player meant that he was used to checking the conditions before any flying took place so it wasn't surprising that his blue-grey eyes examined the sky as he walked. Good conditions? Couldn't be better. The sun might make them tired but it was better than flying out in the rain. None of the kids would end up getting sick, this way.

Speaking of kids, there they were! Merlin, he wasn't late, was he?

Grinning widely and somewhat nervously, the twenty-one year old headed over towards the left side of the pitch. He'd received an owl with instructions on the event and the breakdown so he wasn't surprised to see so many groups here and there. But his eyes remained on the group he was instructing. His group. Nodnod.

"Hey guys! How's everyone today? Excited?" Alec asked, still grinning as he came to a stop and placed the bottles of water on the ground. Emergencies, you know. "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Alec Summers, Tutshill Tornados Seeker and one of your instructors today!" Call him Alec, yeah? Summers was... too formal.

And hey, Giles Low. Smiles and nod for you.

There he was, Theodore Burton, a.k.a Teddy or sometimes she called him Dora. "What take you so slow?" She scolded her twin brother, poked his head and pinched his cheek. She just loooooooooved teasing him. "Cheer up, Dora. We're gonna learn how to fly today! Don't you feel excited?" Because she did! She was waiting for this moment, learning how to ride the broomstick and play Quiddditch, could she be the beater, please?

Then Ava watched there was a younger boy (Jacen) with funny accent and bowing to the instructor. "Hello! You're so funny by the way." She grinned sheepishly. "I'm Ava. This is my twin brother, Dora... I mean, Teddy." She introduced herself and her brother of course. Twins for the win!

Was she ready for flying? "Yes sir!" She answered enthusiastically. "And hello, Giles. My name is Ava." How in the world she forgot to introduce herself? Lucky that her mother wasn't here or she's gonna stare at here. "But but but... Why we cannot pick the broom now? I don't wanna get the ugly one." She pouted.

And wait.... She noticed there was another man came in.

WAS THAT ALEC SUMMERS?

She was a fan of him and Tutshill Tornados!!

"Teddy, loook!! Alec Summers is here!!" She couldn't help but squealed. SHE WAS NOT DREAMING, RIGHT? "Alec Summers! Hi, I'm... Ava Burton and I... I'm a big fan of you.." She spoke to him and blushed. Could she take photos with him once the camp had finished? Also asking his autograph on her t-shirt?

Alice was surprised he heard the first part of what she said, about the flying. That was supposed to be under her breath, but maybe she just spoke too loudly. It's not like she said anything embarrassing though.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Giles." She offered her hand for a handshake, but like a lady or a princess, so he could kiss the hand if he wanted. Who wouldn't?

"Me? I'm Alice Lupin, future quidditch player!" She beamed, or at least she was hoping. That's what she wanted to do with her life, well that and become some sort of queen, but that wasn't really a job anymore, plus it sounded a bit less likely than playing quidditch. "Is there anything i can do til we start?" The redhead looked around and waved at the girl (Ava) who waved at her. Hmm.

Jace was distracted again, when one of the girls in their group called his attention. It was a good thing that she made the first move to interact, because there’s no way that the nine year old boy would jump into conversation head on. It was something that he wanted to do, but he was scared of it. What if they’re rude? What if they don’t like him?

And...what? Jace opened his mouth, and closed it again. No, he was not offended because he gets that compliment most of the time. Though he was educated in an International School back in Japan, his mother’s native language was the default dialect used when he gets home from school. Now that he and his father have transferred to New Castle two years ago, his accent was still a work in progress. “Funny?” he asked in Japanese, his head tilted. The brown haired boy shook his head, and grinned at the girl. Ava...and Teddy. “Hi, Ava. Hi. Teddy. I’m Jace!” He gave both kids a quick wave, and immediately tucked his hands behind him smiling at the both of them.

Making friends isn’t so bad, yeah?




Another adult voice was heard, and Jace turned to see...WHOA WAIT. Is that...? Jace blinked once...twice, until it registered in his brain that it surely was THE Alec Summers of the Tutshill Tornados. The boy watched the Seeker’s movements, and tried to memorize every detail that he was seeing at the moment. Can his dad see this? Merlin’s beard. Jakub will die of envy! Alec Summers! In the flesh!

Slowly, a grin formed on Jace’s lips. Was he going to be in their group? Will he get to learn FROM Alec-san? The nine year old took a step forward, but Ava had beat him to it. Jace’s face felt warm, and chose to stay in his spot beside Mr. Giles. Surely, Mr. Summers doesn’t want to be bothered with two kids, yes? Yes. Shoulders slightly slumped, Jace continued to look at the Seeker, and gave him a quick wave too.

Hi, Mr. Summers! Hi!

With his homemade toilet paper helmet tightly in hand, Lancelot sprinted towards the group he was pointed to not a few moments before. He couldn't believe he was at quidditch camp! Even less the fact that his grandmother even allowed him to go. Though he had slight suspicions grandfather had something to do with that, plus, he himself had promised he would have some sort of safety precautions with him at all times.

Shoving the soft helmet onto his head before he arrived at the small group, he slowed down and stopped near the kids his age and the few adults. "Hi!" he waved, a little out of breath, but excited nonetheless. This was so coooool!

Isobel was excited to be part of the training camp. She wished something like it had existed when she was younger, though actually she probably would not have attended it. She didn't really like simply flying around on a broom due to her fear of heights and all. When she played quidditch it was easy to ignore, but it had terrified her all other times. It wasn't as bad as it had been when she was younger, but she still was not fond of heights. But today she would be people young people learn and she was excited for that, so it should be okay.

"Hello," she greeted the group as she approached. She smiled at Giles and Alec, fellow quidditch players and teachers at this camp, before turning to the group of kids assembled. "Nice helmet," she said to one boy who was indeed holding one in his hand. "But I don't think you're going to need it today." But if he wanted to wear it that was fine with her. It was kind of adorable.

It looked like there were still quite a few who had yet to arrive. While she waited, Isobel looked around at what was contained nearby.

Giles, yep Teddy stored that name in his name database. "Hi Giles," he said, letting a quick smile pass his lips. "Yeah… yeah I'm… I'm READY!" he was trying to psych himself up, trying to be SUPER DUPER excited, trying not to be terrified… but really, chances of him having a flying accident would be statistically small. He shouldn't even be worrying about it. There were professional quidditch players here to help and supervise, so they weren't going to let them just fly without knowing anything. This time he smiled for a bit longer, the nervous glimmering in his eyes transforming to a bright excitement.


Teddy was standing next to Ava when someone else appeared, an older person. Well, he wasn't that old, not like his parents, kind of like his cousin Sophia. She was 20. Cooooool, he had his own broom! The guy looked very familiar, he must be a professional player that Ava liked or something.

Yep, that was confirmed by one look at his twin sister. He actually laughed! She was sooooo excited. "Oh, that's who he is!" He closely followed his sister as she wandered a bit closer towards the man and watched her introducing herself, and telling him what a fan she was. "Hello I'm Teddy," he added to the professional quidditch player, Alec Summers. That name was stored too. It wasn't Alex, it was ALEC. He let Ava speak for the both of them, They were ready, yes. But he wasn't fussed about what broom he got, as long as it had been maintained correctly and was safe.


Teddy gave Ava a worried look. Why was she always telling him off for being so slow? He liked to take his time, he didn't need to be in the place he needed to be at warp speed. He walked as far as his legs and lungs would take him, unless he was trying to run. But he supposed she teased him for being slow for the same reason he teased her for other things. It didn't matter, even though she was annoying sometimes he still loved her. He ducked away from further poking and pinching, and didn't want to poke or pinch her in front of other people. He didn't want people watching him. "Yes I'm excited," he said, though he wasn't 100% excited. Maybe… maybe 85% excited. At LEAST 75%.



Teddy's eyes were wide with shock when his sister said the other boy was funny. Buuuuut then the guy, whose name was Jace, grinned. So, maybe he wasn't angry or upset or offended. But he said something in a language he didn't know, but from his own time watching the television his mother had, he thought it was from Asia. Maybe Japanese. It sounded like Astro boy, and he had watched Astro Boy a few times. He was glad Ava introduced them both, then he added "Hello Jace," in his nervous little voice. He had a squeaky little British voice, but had learned how to speak Russian since he was a baby, thanks to his mother. But he didn't speak Russian to many people, so he didn't say anything in Russian to the boy who was speaking Japanese, because the boy sounded like he might have learned English after he learned Japanese.

Then someone else approached the group, another adult. Well, trainer. Maybe she was a professional too? Teddy gave her a smile and waved at her as she said hello to them. She heard her tell the boy with the helmet that she didn't think he would need it, which meant that they wouldn't be doing anything dangerous today, which relieved Teddy. Good.

David Truebridge didn't particularly want to be here, but he didn't NOT want to be here either. He just felt... what was the new word he'd recently acquired? Ambivalent. Yes, he felt ambivalent about learning to fly. He knew it was something he SHOULD know, because brooms were a fairly reliable form of transportation, but he didn't know if he would be okay at flying or not. He was leaning toward 'not' since his mum was so anti-broom though, and his dad didn't really follow Quidditch. He just wasn't confident about brooms.

Also speaking of a lack of confidence... wow, look at all the people here. The tall people were the teachers, he assumed, and the short ones, like him, were the learners. Wellp. He didn't see any other nine to eleven year-olds he recognized right away, even though Genny and Char had PROMISED they'd be here, so he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and hung toward the back. Behind some other kids and stuff. He was short enough to blend in. All the teacher people had bright smiles and that scared him a little bit. They were just so HAPPY to be here with BROOMS.

This boy was all kind of cute, Giles couldn’t help but grin. Giles-san, he loved it. “Well don’t you worry bud, I’ll make sure you have a great time and nothing happens to you.” We’ll be starting super soon. His eyes lifted when he saw someone else moving onto the pitch. Alec Summers, yeah he knew him. His thoughts went back to that last match. It wasn’t Summers so he’d be cool, but just getting the suspension letter the other day wasn’t making him like the Tornados anymore. “Hello” He gave a quick greeting. “Some of the kids seem pretty eager to start.” They probably should soon just so these kiddos didn’t get to unfocused.

Looking back to the young lady, Ava he smiled “It’s nice to meet you Ava. Well we are going to wait to let everyone get here so we can start together. It will be easier that way.” No sense in them just giving instructions five or six times. Yes they would start really soon. These girls were adorable as well, taking Alice’s hand he shook it lightly, “Nice to meet you.” Could she do anything, “Well if you want to tell what you like about Quidditch you could. Do a little get to know you piece while we wait.” That could always be fun.

Seeing another child walk over Giles noticed the helmet, “That is one rad helmet you got there. Maybe you could make me one to wear in matches.” He’d so do it too, he would do anything to make kids smile. He so enjoyed them, thinking about the kids at the orphanage he smiled to himself. “I’m Giles by the way, what’s your name?” He would try to remember them, try. Noticing Isobel coming over he smiled, “Good morning.” Seemed they were almost all there and more and more kids were coming. He hoped there was enough adults to these kids, but really wasn’t that worried. They’d handle it.

Teddy was cute too and Giles gave a smile, “Always good to hear.” Ready was a very good thing for Quidditch, checking his time he knew it was time to be ready. Grabbing his broom he went more towards the center of the group. Seeing another child (David) Giles gave a big smile. “Hello there, you ready to do some flying?”

Speaking of it was probably time to get them moving. “Okay guys let’s get started. If anyone else comes they can jump right in. As I said before I’m Giles Low, I play beater for the Cannons, myself and my friends are going to help you learn how to fly today. The first thing I need you to do is get a broom and hold it firmly in your hand like this. Once you have a firm grip on it, you will want to put your leg over and get settled on it.” He demonstrated. “Now go ahead and try that much.” Starting them off slow was probably the best way to go.

Carter casually strolled between the kids. They were there to make sure the kids didn't fall off their brooms, right? And not to show favoritism. He'd have to remember that. Although, he was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to help it with his little princess in the group. Hai Livvy!

Ahem. Right. Professionalism. He had it.

"Let me know if anyone needs help." he said as he walked. He also offered a fistbump to Summers as he passed. Long time no see kid.

Wait. Was he supposed to bring a helmet? His dad reviewed the flyer about the event, and it didn’t say anything about helmets! When the boy got closer though, the hard hat thing didn’t look...toughie at all. But still! Body armour is important! He’s been playing Kendo since he was four, and he’s very familiar about body protection and its importance like the back of his hand. He did however, heard the older girl say that they won’t need it for the session, so Jace let out a small sigh.

The nine year old grinned at the girl instructor (Isobel) and gave her a small wave. He also approached helmet boy (Lancelot) and grinned at him. “Hello, I’m Jace.” The half-Japanese kid said, and gave the boy a quick bow. “What’s your name?” Merlin...warming up to the other kids is a tough job.

Jace scratched his head in confusion as he observed Teddy. Was he okay? He sounded like he was about to faint any moment. Was he nervous? “Are you okay?” he asked subconsciously in Japanese. The nine year old looked around, quite embarrassed because, none of them can understand him. “Sorry.” Try again? “Is...everything alright Teddy?” Should he be scared too?

Then there was another kid. Jace blinked as he watched him (David) sneak his way towards the group, and...stayed behind the group. Brit kids. The nine year old would probably need more time adjusting to his new environment and its inhabitants. Two years is not enough, apparently.

The nine year old looked up at Giles, and he graced the adult person with his polite, shy grin. “Okay!” he said...in Japanese. As instructed, Jace got himself a nice looking broom from nearby, dragged it back to where Giles was, and mounted his broom as instructed. “Like this, Giles-san?” he asked looking up to the man. His sensei told him not to be afraid to ask questions, so he was going to do just that.

Trying to rub a dirt smudge off his nose, blue eyes shined up at the instructor lady (Isobel) when she complimented his choice of head gear. "Yea, but I promised my grandma I'd wear it," he fidgeted with it using his free hand. And also he really wanted to wear it. It was his first time flying and honestly, the stories his grandmother told made him a bit anxious about it.

Not that he'd show it, on purpose at least. He was fearless.

Turning towards the man (Giles), Lance's eyes widened a little, finger pausing mid rub on his nose. REALLY? "Yea, I could make you another one!" For sure. If he really wanted it?? Though, he'd need to ask father for more toilet paper then and who knows how that'd go. Who was the man anyway? What matches did he play in? Was he a professional?? Was he talking to a PROFESSIONAL quidditch player?! "I'm Lance...lot. Erm, Lance..."

"...lot," his attempts to correct himself by using his full name were somewhat thwarted by the distraction of another boy (Jace) around his age introducing himself. Oh, bowing, he... what? "Hi, I'm...Lancelot," he replied, making a hesitant quick motion of a small bow, uncertain if he was supposed to do that or not. He ended up giving a tiny wave as well, but thank GOSH that the flying lesson thing was beginning because that could have turned awkward or something.

Not really paying too much attention to the beginning introduction, since there were a few more kids that showed up and more adult people, he did catch the part about getting a broom and holding it properly. Cool, seemed simple enough. He jumped right in, picking a decent looking enough broom before moving back to his original spot... and sneak peaks to see what everyone else was doing.

Wait, they were supposed to mount it?! ALREADY?

He was going to DIE.

This was it. The last day on Earth for one Wylie E. Atherton. And whose fault was it going to be? Definitely not his own. How many times had he told his parents he didn't want to fly a broom? How many times did he tell them he didn't want to fly a broom and play Quidditch?

HOW MANY TIMES DID HE TELL THEM HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE OUTSIDE?

Billions. Gazillions! Mega matrillions! Did they listen to him, though? No. Of course they hadn't. Which was why he was there. Outside. Surrounded by other people and Lancelot. And about to hop on a broom and play Quidditch. He was not happy about it. Not one bit. And to let everyone KNOW he wasn't happy about it, Wylie stomped his way right over to the brooms to pick one out. He didn't even care if it was the worst broom there. He was going to die no matter what broom he picked out.

HMPH.

He stomped his way back over to the group and flung his leg over the handle, just like that Quidditch Pro guy showed them.

Was he able to go home now?

Teddy nodded, seriously. Then took a deep breath, determined. Ohhhh boyyyyy...

Tedy timidly went up to pick out a broom. He looked at them all closely, trying to decide which one looked the safest, but didn't really want to ask. He didn't want to look like a chicken. He picked one up and walked it towards where Giles stood and copied his every move. He held it, flung his leg over, and was on it. He made sure he could feel the ground below his feet, because he did NOT want to leave the ground. Well, he knew he would have to sooner or later, but preferably not first. Not without knowing HOW go get up, how to control the broom, how to STOP… or first.


There Jace went speaking Japanese again. Teddy scratched his head and made a mental note to get a book to help him understand the language. Yeah, that would be fun. He liked learning new things, especially things that would help him. Then he cracked a smile as Jace corrected himself. He looked embarrassed, but he didn't need to be embarrassed around Teddy or Ava, they weren't teasers. Teddy heard the question and said "Oh, yes I'm fine but… well, perhaps I'm a bit worried about… about, you know, falling or hurting myself. Though I shouldn't worry." He reminded himself again that the professionals were there to HELP them, and wouldn't let anything happen to them as long as they followed the rules. "Have.. have you ever flown before?" Teddy asked, his eyes wide.

Quidditch CAMP!

Ever since her daddy had signed her up Xandra had been brimming with excitement and optimism. Finally someone was going to teach her how to mount and fly a broom. Maybe on a broom she wouldn't be clumsy like the famous people she had read about in Hogwarts A History? Her mother was very doubtful but nothing could go wrong with adults present right?

Kissing her daddy goodbye the 11 year old girl skipped over to her assigned group, her blond hair pulled back in pig tails for the day. Her greenbrown eyes took in the faces of the other kids but she recognized nobody. The adults were a different story though since she kept up with Quddicth weekly and knew who they were. Famous people.....Idols.

As the leader (Giles) ordered them all to choose a broom and then mount it Xandra hurried to grab one. With the broom in hand she eyed it up and down before she gripped it with her left hand and swung her leg over it. Just as she was settling down on her broom she felt how she glided backwards off it and landed within seconds uncermionously on the ground causing her to cry out "Oooooooooowie!"

Torie made his way over to his group after waving goodbye to mum and dad. He had his broomstick in his hand, proud to be able to say he had his own. Both he and James had gotten theirs for Hanukkah a few years back and were well trained on how to fly on it. They loved racing each other and even mum on their brooms! He looked up at the course they were to fly around and his eyes shone bright with excitement. He took in each of the quidditch players and beamed at them. Maybe one would notice how good of a flyer he was!

He listened as the leader told them to get a broomstick and smirked a little. He already had his, so he mounted it as he was told and nearly toppled in surprise as he heard an 'owie!' But, they hadn't even kicked off the ground yet! How could someo... He noticed who it was and tried to keep from snickering "Need help Zandra?" he asked moving her way.

The boy bowed back! Well, well. Not ALL kids are weird and stuff. Lancelot knows how to be polite, even if he doesn't know what the gesture meant to the nine year old. Jace grinned back and watched Lancelot get his broom, and go back to his spot.

Err...is he alright?

They're just getting in position, which isn't hard at all. Does...he need help with that too?



The nine year old looked at Teddy...then glanced quickly at the man beside him. "Giles-san said that he won't let me get hurt. I'm sure he will look after you too." he said trying to comfort the boy. Jace shrugged though when he was asked if he has flown before. "No." the nine year old scrunched up his nose as he held his mount position. "It's going to be my first time." he said with a grin. Sure he was apprehensive about the idea at first, but...flying could be fun! Besides, they were going to learn from Quidditch professionals! It's something that they shouldn't miss...
