Torin headed inside the class a little confused as to why there was no furniture. He found a place to sit anyway."Hello, Professor," he said smiling. He was excited for class to begin and wondering where Fyo was.

Purple circles outlined her eyes. Ever since that special assembly, Issy hadn't been sleeping well and had been plagued with awful nightmares. Still, she ambled about, shuffling into class noted the lack of chairs or desks or seats. A few times, she blinked, before walking into the middle of the room and dropping to the ground in a manner that looked much like falling.

Once on the ground, she crossed her legs beneath her and, for a few moments, she managed to stay sitting up.

"Good afternoon, Professor," she mumbled. "Interesting decorating choice. No cushions?"

Again, she yawned before falling over backwards and curling up in a ball. Mmm cozy floor. Cushy floor. Oh how sleepy she was. Who knew the floor in the Transfig--

CLASS. CLASS.

Quickly, Issy sat back up, eyes widened and bloodshot. Ugh.

She'd have to see the nurse about a dream free sleep potion, or else she was never going to do well in class. Ugh ugh ugh.

Sooo sleeeeepy.

As Jack walked into the Transfiguration classroom, he glanced around at all the empty space. Whoaaaaaa this classroom was a LOT bigger than he had ever thought it was...it was amazing how furniture seemed to really fill a--

SPLAT.

Jack tripped over...well, nothing, since there weren't any chairs or desks in the room. Must have just been his ginormous monster feet. He fell forward and landed on his palms, dropping his book in the process.

EEP! That was embarrassing.

Standing up quickly, he looked around to see if anyone had really noticed. Erm, hopefully not--he was one of the first few people in here, after all. So that meant, just the professor saw. Gulp. "I erm...I think I'll sit here," he announced to no one in particular, plopping back down on the ground where he had just gotten up from his nasty fall.

"Oh, and good day professor," he added with a little wave. GAHHHHHHH was school OVER with yet?

YIPEEE for Transfiguration!

It was a fun fun class and he was still waiting when they would learn how they could turn a boulder into a banquet of food, oh chyeaaaah that would be awesome. He didn't particularly excel on the subject though, but it was FUN FUN FUUUN. So far they've learned the vanishing spell thingy and the animal spell thingy and what were they going to learn todaaay?

Hopefully... SOMETHING TO DO WITH FOOOD.

Walking in, the classroom, he looked at all the other students and then finally at the professor. "Wasssuuup Professaahh," he greeted and calmly skipped towards...

NO DESKKK?! Ah well.

Taking a seat he... eyed the professor CURIOUSLY and waited for the lesson to begin.

Herminny looked at her schedule and saw that Transfiguration was next and headed toward the classroom and when she got there she was surprised to see the room was bare accept for the professor and figured this would probably be a practical lesson which she figured would certainly be fun. As she madeher way into the classroom she said, "Hi professor", quite enthusiastically and then took a seat on the floor because that was the only place to sit even though it seemed a bit different to her.

Fyo hurried to catch up with Torin who, apparently, had no idea that the third year was following him. "Good day, professor," he said politely as he entered the classroom - which, to his surprise, was devoid of furniture - just in time to hear Professor Svensson tell them to find themselves seats.

"You should walk slower," he added, in a much lower voice, turning to Torin and looking around for a place to sit.

He was tired.

Tired wasn't the word for it. exhausted beyond belief was more like it. no, not even that sounded right. William Cullack was beyond tired, exhausted, sleepy. ever since the 'special assembly' in which he had been inches away from, well yeah he hadn't gotten an ounce of sleep. Even though Becca had tried her hardest to calm him down, his dreams were filled with nightmares, plaguing him.

But he had class and he had to act normal, right? Smiling tiredly at professor Svensson he walked into the room, stiffing a huge yawn that threatened to make his face dissapear. Oh yeah not good he thought. "Hello pofessor." he said in a cheery voice. No need for his voice to sound sleepy he thought as he stopped and finally noticed the lack of desk and chairs.

Well there goes him catching 40 winks.

Willow had slipped inside the classroom, right after the Gryffindor Captain, and just in time to see him making an entrance.

Some people could be so graceful.

After raising one of her dark and perfectly shaped eyebrows at the much taller, yet younger boy, Willow's attention was back to the furniture -or lack thereof, more like it- of the classroom.

"Good day, Professor Svensson?" Yes, greeting had been a tad uncertain, for Willow was yet not entirely sure what to do, really. "I trust you are having a good day?" Not it mattered, but it was just the proper thing to ask.

Were they supposed to summon a chair and a desk? Certainly not, his instructions had been to find a seat, not to summon one from the nearest classroom. Not to mention that summoning would fall into the Charms category and this was Transfiguration ... Aaaah, she was just going to seat next to Issy.

And with a not so particularly pleased expression on her face, the girl sat on the floor, tucked her legs below her, put her messenger bag right next to her, and then proceed to place her pale hands on her lap.

Proper ladies, father had told her more than once, must never seat on the floor. Yet now this professor was practically forcing her to, and there was nothing she could do about it. Ugh.

Once a fair number of students had arrived, Professor Svensson drew his wand and used it to close the door. Beginning to pace the front of the classroom, he tapped his wand against his palm.

"Let's start with a little review. What did we learn last class that might be able to apply to spells other than human transfiguration?" That question made no sense. Shaking his head, Lars tried to rephrase in a more comprehendable manner. "What I mean is, what part of last class's spell might be helpful in the execution of other spells?

Satine re situated herself into an indian style with her bag in front of her. She leaned back on her elbows just in time to hear the Professor's next announcement.

She pulled her notes out of her backpack and read through them looking for an answer.

Jack tapped his chin in thought before raising his hand. "Ummm, could the whole concentration thing be really important in other transfiguration spells? Thinking through what you want your outcome to be is really important and if you aren't concentrated enough, the results could be disasterous," he said.

Like, your skin could turn gray and maybe NEVER turn back. EEP!

William thought hard, which was hard enough in his sleep-deprived state. "Um, we learned that concentrating on what we want to happen helps in the spell process. not just thinking of the spell itself, but about the outcome." he replied, putting his hand up and crossing his legs.

Satine shot her hand in the air, "Professor, you emphasized the importance of not only concentration but making sure that the words of the spell were pronounced absolutely perfect." she said with a matter of fact look on her face.

Raising her hand, Daphne cleared her throat. "I believe it's both intent and concentration. You can't have one without the other or the spell won't be very effective. It's very important to form a clear image in your head of the result you're seeking for and to try to block out outside distractions."

For example, Daphne Hopton realized in one of the Apparition lessons that she needed to work on her concentration herself. That little experiment had been interesting. But--wasn't concentration and intent behind every sort of Magic?

Lars nodded, pleased at what nearly all the students seemed to remember. "You're all more or less correct. I emphasized that all aspects of the spellwork need to be mastered, else something may go wrong," he summed up. "Now think back to our first lesson of the term."

Goodness, that first lesson seemed ages past. He could scarcely remember the canary creams and disappearing snails and gummy worms of that class.

"Why do you think the desks and chairs are missing? Where do you think they are right now? How did they get there? Most importantly--why did I decide to have a standing-room only class?" Haha. Standing room only. Even Lars was standing today, and he sat in a chair or on a desk at every chance possible.

Desk and chairs missing. He quite missed having a desk right now. Raising his hand, he tried to answer the question, "I think you... vanished them. With the vanishing spell," he said trying to think up of answers to his other questions, "They're um... well I dunno how to explain it but they--they're um... simply gone?" Oh how he wished he was smarter.

With that, he tried to remember the first lesson. How was HEEE suppose to remember something that happened suuuch a long time ago?

Jack glanced around at all the empty space around them. Hmmm, where were the desks? Had he vanished them? He certainly hadn't through them out a window or anything...he raised his hand. "Did you vanish them? And are we going to try and...erm, UNvanish them?" he suggested.

William had totally forgotten when the first class had been about. He listened to the others and blinked. Vanishing seemed to be the most logical choice, surely Svensson hadn't thrown them out the window or glued them to the ceiling. Deciding not to answer this one since his brain was on a sleep vacation he just smiled cutely and waited.

Completely out of it, Livvy watched the others as they answered the Professor's questions. Truth be told, she didn't quite remember what the first lesson was about. There were too many classes to remember and she didn't remember any of the first lessons. And why they were in a 'standing-room only' escaped her.

Livvy raised her hand and asked, "Are we going to conjure furniture, sir? By... creating an illusion with other objects?" She had no idea. What in the world was she saying?

Herminny had a bit of an idea how to answer this question so she raised her hand said, "We are going to make the chairs and desks reapear out of the state of flux existense back into a state they can be seen again".

Jack had several answers to the question, but none that he would say out loud. Sitting on the floor was most uncomfortable, which made every answer he thought of rather rude.

Cedric raised his hand, wandering a bit why on earth they are sitting on the floor and with chairs and desks missing, "I think we're going to conjured them back, I think" He smiled when he finished answering. This class will be a great one, He thought without chairs and all. They'll learn the conjuring spell, he bet.

"I also think you vanished them, sir," Fyo said, hand in air as he agreed with what a lot of his fellow classmates were saying. "That would make sense - We've already learnt how to vanish objects, so maybe we are going to practice how to bring vanished objects back!"

Know what? That sounded like a really fun prospect!

"Exactly right!" Svensson couldn't completely suppress a proud smile. These students were smart, and he got to teach them transfiguration. "I did vanish the desks. And today you'll be learning about conjuring. Now--who remembers where vanished objects go?"
