The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling CarnivalThe Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival is here for the first time in Diagon Alley. Sponsored by all your favourite shops of Diagon Alley, the carnival is here for the summer! With magical rides and games, food stalls, knick-knacks and entertainment, this is a party for all ages that you won't want to miss.
Fancy a ride on the Magical Ferris Wheel? Only at Worple and Warmsley can you encounter a ferris wheel even taller than the London Eye. While the London Eye measures up to 443 feet, or 135 metres, our ride reaches an incredible 500 feet, or 152 metres. Each basket on the wheel has been enchanted to fit four people at a time; please do not attempt to squeeze in any more. Each basket is also equipped with one pair of sightseeing goggles for the curious rider to gaze out at the horizon that they tower above.
Please do not hang out of your baskets or rock them back and forth; we have taken many safety precautions and performed protective enchantments, but there is no guarantee that tomfoolery won't lead to endangerment.
Happy travels!
OOC: Feel free to interact with the Magical Ferris Wheel Carnie, Jean Lilliput (princess of*hp*), chat, play and please keep your hands and feet inside the basket at all times!
He wanted to get on Ferris Wheel. Something finally .. which was just so taller than him. Orlando's whole head was falling back as he looked up at the beautiful thing. HE WANTED TO SIT ON IT AND SEE STUFF.
But he had to wait. Wait for his best friends to arrive. For Hayley to arrive. HE WAS WAITING. TRYING TO BE PATIENT. BUT HE JUST COULD NOT, ANY LONGER. THEY NEEDED TO COME.

Carrying the four year old on his back, Legend made his way through the mob of people. They were suppose to meet Orlando at the Ferris Wheel and Legend was sure that they were late. It actually wasn't Katie's fault they were late. She had told him that they should leave earlier. But Legend wouldn't have guessed that the street would be so packed. "Come on Katie!" He said, once Orlando was in view.
Without looking back he made sure that Hayley was holding on tight and ran toward his Gryffindor friend. "Orlando! What's up?"

Jean, winding a finger through her voluminous afro of ginger hair, stood at a mere five feet tall by the operating box of the ferris wheel. On top of her head sat a top hat, something she used to try to increase her height. First customers of the night, students it looked like. One arm crossed over her chest, she gazed unblinkingly in their direction for a moment, before asking, "Just two, or do you's plan ta have more?"

A ferris wheel?!
It was only August's second day in Diagon Alley and things had changed dramatically. He had no idea that wizard's had their own carnival teams. He had spent most of the morning just looking at all the amazing rides and tents popping up around the place and had just made it to the biggest ferris wheel he had ever seen.
The thirteen year old placed a hand on his brow to block the sunlight and he gazed at the ride looming over most of London. "Blimey can't the Muggles see that?" he asked outloud, unaware that a fro-ed carnie was standing about a foot away.

Who was this? Another kid? A runty kid, at that. He didn't look much older than a decade or so. Who was he to speculate about the ways of Worple and Warmsley? "Ay, YOU!" Jean called, pointing a finger at him as she stuck her hand out at arms length. "What choo be speculatin' 'bout? Dem muggles carn't see nufink if we don't wan' them to. Advance magick, this is." Turning for a moment, she looked reverently up at the highest point of the ferris wheel, a small twinkle in her eyes before the lioness within returned. Glare. Glare at the kid until he stepped on the ride or ran away.

August's heart shot up into his throat suddenly as a small child, wait, a rather tiny adult barked at him in a thick accent. The accent he was fine with, he was from downtown Manchester, the attire and the vibriant and estatic hair, that hurt his eyes. The muchkin person continued to bark at him about the advanced magic that was entailed with the ferris wheel and to be honest Auggie was getting a bit annoyed. Everyone here so far seemed to just throw this sort of stuff around as no big deal like Crups, Divination and now HUGE FERRIS WHEELS? He was new to magic he didn't know any of this.
"U-um Im sorry, sir-ma'am!" he corrected himself quickly eyeing the stuppy finger pointed at him. "This ride is safe right?" he asked trying to change the subject and let them know he was a customer. His parents wouldn't let him go to Hogwarts if he had gotten beaten up by a magical carnie.
Hogwarts RPG Name: William Atticus MacGhilliseathenaich-Dwinkendorf IV
Second Year
James is my REAL name | Pokah Face | Scheming Marauder | True Marauder | Foster the People
Will marveled at the towering Ferris Wheel that resided in Diagon Alley. He could not wait to get out to the magical alley, for it was his first time since being admitted to Hogwarts. How marvelous was it for him? On his first venture out to Diagon Alley, there just so happens to be a huge carnival. Great. He'll probably get sick from some airborne virus or bacterium that was just multiplying around. He walked, for he would probably trip if he ran, around the crowds of people and got in line for the ride. He reached into his pocket and pulled out some Wizarding money. As the first-year boy reached the front of the line, he was shocked to see the carnie yelling at some older boy. His small face frowned as he walked up to the line and tentatively talked to the Carnie.
"Excuse me," he said, turning his face as he coughsneezed to the side. "Can I get on the ride?"

Jean stuck her nose in the air, sniffing a bit. She had definitely taken offense, but this boy was a paying customer. Taking her wand, she turned to tap the control box. "The safest in the country, m'lad," She mused, sounding like a proud parent. Taking her free hand, she reached up to pat her afro and adjust her tall top hat before noticing another young kid approach the ride.

A cough/sneeze was all Jean needed to frown once more. What was with these kids? Didn't these parents teach them proper hygiene? Who got sick during the summer? Shoving off these pessimistic notions, she answered, "Erm... yeah. Yes, m'boy. You and little... mini pompadour boy, over here." Pointing her wand at a door to a carriage, she waved off the boy that she had frightened. If they didn't ride, she didn't make her wages. And Jean wasn't cut out for poverty.
Nikolai made a face at Mia for mentioning hair growing on her chest. Although he would still love her no matter what, just the thought was really.. weird. She would probably fit in with all the people in the carnival, though. Hehe. "No, I don't think that would happen. But some hair might grow on your face, then I wouldn't be able to kiss you anymore." And he poked his tongue out right back at her.
He could be really selfish sometimes. Mia never complained when they did the things he wanted to do and there he was, making faces and whining because she wanted to do something that he didn't. He was horrible.
Thankfully, she didn't try to stop them from going again. He would have felt even worse.
His smile returned as she took hold of his hand, and giving it a squeeze, he began walking in the direction of the carnival. It wasn't hard to miss. At all. "We'll see about that." he teased, giving her a little nudge. He really didn't think he would have fun, but as long as she did, he would be happy.
"I would hardly call sitting in front of the television at home that much fun." Kidding, of course.
Oh well. That wasn't good. Not only would she have a hairy face but Nik wouldn't want to kiss her anymore and that she wouldn't be able to handle. "Okay I won't share your perfume then. But I can still wear your shirts, right?' Mia knew that he would definitely go for that. She was sure he picked out shirts for her in particular.
As they walked down the street together, Mia could feel her excitement growing as they got closer to the carnival. She couldn't keep the smile off her face even at his comment about watching television. "Oh please Nik, you love it. What's that soapie called that you never miss?" Hehe.
Of course the first thing Mia wanted to try was the ferris wheel because that was the thing that stuck out the most. Merlin! That thing was big. "You're not scared of heights are you?"

Oh yeah, Nikolai knew telling Mia he wouldn't kiss her anymore would have thrown the thoughts of using his stuff from her head. Not that he minded her using anything of course, but he just didn't think she would want to smell like him. Besides, he liked the way she smelled already. He raised his eyebrows at her next question and shook his head. Did she really have to ask that? Pfft.
He couldn't help but smile at her excitement, and even though he wouldn't admit to it out loud, he was feeling excited, too. But.. he wasn't feeling too excited about Mia telling the whole world what he watches on the television. Once again he placed a finger to his lips. "Shh!!" He would never go to Diagon Alley with her again.
Once they reached where the carnival was, Nikolai glanced around, already knowing where he wanted to go first. Did Mia see how BIG the food was over there? Apparently not, because if she did, he was sure they would not be standing in front of the ferris wheel. His eyes traveled all the way to the top before moving back to Mia. "I'm not scared of anything." Except for a Sphinx, which, thankfully, he did not see.

Mia knew that she could get Nikolai excited about going to the carnival. Maybe if he had a good time at this one, she could get him to take her to a muggle one. Their ferris wheel might not be as big but she was sure they would have just as many fun things to do as this one.
He was 'shushing' her again. Really! She rolled her eyes playfully at him. Like anyone heard what she had said and it wasn't like she had said it in front of anyone they knew, so there should be no problem. Nobody knew who they were.
Standing in front of the ferris wheel, Mia craned her neck so that she could see the top of the ride and it only just hit her how big the thing really was. "So I can count on you to comfort me if I get scared then?" Not that she was known to be scared of heights but gosh that top carriage just disappeared into the clouds.

Nikolai didn't fail to notice Mia's little eye roll.
How would she have liked it if he went around saying things about her? What he would say, he knew not, but that wasn't the point. There were just some things that shouldn't leave the house ever, especially when it came to him. He simply poked his tongue out at her again.
He didn't think Mia was scared of heights. He was sure that, if she was, she would not have picked the ferris wheel to go on first. Actually, he didn't think she would want to go on it at all. That was just a ridiculous thought. Her question brought a smile to his face and he gave her hand a squeeze. "Of course you can." Like she needed to ask. "But what if you're not scared?"
Could he still comfort her?
Or maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea. Not with the next question she asked him. He trailed his eyes up to the top of the ferris once again and.. he was just going to avoid answering her. "Merlin. I bet if you look down from the very top, you won't even be able to see the people on the ground."
Raven and her parents stood on the ground looking up. Victoria Sloan (Raven's mom) slowly said, "Whoa..."
Raven's father, Micheal, said, "I'm not sure that we should ride that...."
Raven said... "Think about it. Will you ever have a chance to do something this crazy again?"
Her parents both said,"No." at exactly the same time.
Raven replied, "Exactly. Which is why we need to ride it."
They both said, "Alright...." at different times.
It didn't look like a ride operator was there....
They got in and closed the door. Then they waited for the ride operator to arrive to turn on the ride.
While they were waiting for the ride operator to arrive, they began to talk.
Raven began to spill her fears about Hogwarts and how she was afraid that no one would be her friend. She began to say that she was afraid that she wouldn't be a good witch because she was muggle-born.
Her parents then told her that that was ridiculous because she was so great at everything. She was born to be a witch. They talked and talked.
But it wasn't until after that conversation, until Raven felt comfortable being around witches and wizards and in fact being one herself.

Well, wasn't this ..nice? Yeah sure, let's go with just nice. Being seventeen and afraid of heights wasn't exactly something Stephen told everyone. But maybe he's out grown that point of sitting in big, moving wheels that probably made you feel like a giant. Though it seemed terrifying to him, Stephen was going to try it out anyways. As long as someone he knew popped up quickly so he wouldn't go alone and have someone's hand to hold onto.

Making a slightly concerned face after calling the woman a sir, he hadn't meant to do it, honest, August looked back up at the huge structure. Well if she said it was safe he guessed he could ride it. "Well ok. I'll ride it." he said looking at her and then another small kid who showed up just behind him. "So now what?" he looked from the tiny kid and the tiny woman with the red hair.

Seeing what looked to be a couple of kids wrapped up in the coils of puppy love, Jean raised a single eyebrow. Cute. But possibly trouble-making. "Ready ta ride?" She asked in her thick cockney accent.

Peering around at the family of three that had hopped into a compartment, it looked like they were all in order. It was nice to have well-behaved folk on your rides, once in a while. Turning to the operations box, Jean tapped the box with her wand and the ride began to move. The family in the carriage slowly began to ascend upward toward the clouds in the sky.

Turning as she sensed the approach of another and seeing that it was just another school-aged kid, Jean sniffed and turned to watch the current riders.

Her lips becoming thin as her mouth tightened, Jean rolled her eyes and stomped up to the two kids. "On, boy, get on!" With the last syllable of her sentence, Jean took her wand and poked him onto the platform near the first open basket. "It's just a wheel, kid. Be a man, for the sake of Mahlin's sweet bargy trouwsahs."
Nick went into the awesome carnival...and headed straight for the Ferris Wheel. They were always a lot of fun. He used to drag his sisters on them all of the time: even when they didn't want to. He let out a sigh as he saw the line. He stood in line behind some guy who looked about his age (August). He put his hands in his pockets and waited impatiently for his turn.

"H-HEY!!" Before he knew what was going on or he had even made up his mind if he was actually going to ride the huge Wheel, the crazy carnie was shoving August onto the bloody thing. And she had her wand in his back, he was going to die wasn't he or be TURNED INTO A FROG?!?!?
O___O
He was pushed into the cart and looked at the smaller boy (William) who has been just beside him waiting to get on the ride and then the slightly older looking boy (Nick) who was now up next to the demon Carnie.

Nick watched as the guy in front of him was shoved into the basket. When he turned around, he didn't look too excited to be in there. He turned to the carnie. "Um....I'm not so sure he" Nick motioned to the boy. "wants to be in there." He figured this wouldn't help at all but really: the guy didn't look that comfortable.

Aine looked up at the large ferries wheel with a big smile on her face, she loved theses things and now she would get to see high up over Diagon Alley what fun. She looked back down at the boys in front of her and the female carnie who radiated frustration and boredom, Aine smirked, she could think of worse jobs. She looked at the boy who seemed startled to ride the big wheel in her calmest voice she spoke "there’s nothing to be afraid of you know its not so bad” she smiled sweetly

August wasn't sure what to do. He wasn't really afraid of ferris wheels, I mean yeah this one was rather big and collosal really, but it was really the freakin' carnie that had him on edge. He hadn't been around an angry witch before.
Looking out at the three kids, the little boy, the older boy who had just started to confront the carnie and then a younger girl who was trying to console him and then looking back at the carnie; August grabbed them and yanked them into the carriage and slammed the door shut. "Get in! W-We're ready to go ma'am!" he shouted out the window and sat back into the seat so he couldn't see her or her see him.

Tyler headed over to the Ferris Wheel where he found Rose. This ride looked awesome, he loved rides, anytime he was at an amusement park he made sure he went on the tallest and the fastest. "You planning on going on it?" he asked quietly from behind her so he didn't startle her as he looked up at the Wheel.
