| Dem Carters | even 🕊🕊 have pride | | Expecto PAWtronum 🐈 | U-NA-GI As she was walking around the tables set up for the silent auction, Roxanne spotted an interesting looking table. Five enchanted Ministry windows, winner controls them. Figuring that they would be a great addition to the CMEC-Wizengamot offices (in addition to the coffee maker she was thinking of buying), she approached. And saw that no one had bid yet. Really? Who wouldn't want windows that displayed whatever you chose? Sure they weren't a vacation but......
Roxanne picked up the pen and placed the first bid. Quote: Name: Roxanne Carter Paddle Number: 20 Current Bid: 130 galleons

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sebastian Price First Year | The Harpy of Hogwarts | Dungeon Mistress | Bimba di Serpeverde Cassandra arrived at tables 15, holding Nik's arm. She narrowed her eyes... Windows? Why would he want windows? Upon looking closer, she realized their worth.
"Oh... they are like in the ministry... changing." She said and read the description "They are amazing." She offered a hand. "Would you like me to hold the paddle for you?" She asked.

These windows were among the handful of items he had seen in the room and wanted to own. Nikolai rarely felt the need to buy anything, as his desires were often fulfilled before he even had the chance to truly want anything.
And at the current bidding rate, they were a steal!
"I'm glad you think so," he smiled at his unlikely partner as he handed her their shared paddle, "I know exactly where I want to put them."
He submitted his bid, wishing that he could do away with the minimum increase and just throw hubcap sized gold coins at the organizers. Quote:

| Dem Carters | even 🕊🕊 have pride | | Expecto PAWtronum 🐈 | U-NA-GI Roxanne was taking another pass around the silent auction tables, just to make sure that no one else had bid on the two things she had really wanted. The vacation was okay, but, horror of all horrors, someone else had, in fact, bid on the windows. Those windows BELONGED in the CMEC-Wizengamot office, damn it! So, no silly upstart was going to out bid her. Especially not one with such a ridiculous name as Nikolai. Who would name their child something that rhymed with a bacteria anyway?! "So I hear that the new broom is selling fiercely." She had always kept up with Nik, in papers. The Prophet, Witch Weekly, all the Quidditch magazines, and even the gossip rags. She'd been keeping a scrap book of sorts, so when her children grew into adulthood, they could see how famous their father had been.
She turned and saw a woman out bid Nik. She glared at the woman. Yes, the point of the auction was to get more money... but that didn't change the fact that she didn't like Nik was being outbid. She growled lightly. "You know, Nikolai, the night is young, and we can always return later and up your bids."
She looked over to the next table. "The mirror at table 14 is quite stunning... don't you think?" She wasn't really looking to have him bid on them... she just wanted to move away from this table... for now.

"Mmmm..." he raised an eyebrow at the other woman's bid and smirked at Cassandra's comment, "Too right, we can come back at the end."
No point wasting good parchment.
"Would you like to have the mirror?" he looked around at the other tables, his glance alighting on the necklaces, one of which Cassandra would probably appreciate. As they moved away from the table, he picked up the conversational ball "Sales are going quite well, the all female teams are lapping up Audacity III which I'm guessing has to do with the way the seat curves."
He was currently working on a new design, and was itching to get it to the prototype stage. He led her away from the table, thinking about work and looking around for inspiration... Quote:
