We've all experienced it. Lay off SS for a few days, or a few well-chosen hours of the day to eat/work/go to class, and when you return...

BAM. Did anyone get the number of that truck?

Anyway, this is a thread where you can catch up on the latest happenings of the school plot, instead of wandering the hallway lost and confused...

To be rather frank, from the top:

The staff has decided to brew the Draught of Em...Emphe...okay, a potion that will bring the ghosts back to life.

Lord Voldemortist has caught ear of this events through his servant (identity unknown) and has arrived at Hogwarts, to date having murdered seven students: Two Gryffindor (Ron, Kelli(?)), One Hufflepuff (?), Three Ravenclaw (Kagome, Mike, Patricia) and Two Slytherin (Ralph, Nico). He currently resides in the Forbidden Forest.

A "state of emergency" has been declared, and all students are to stay within the castle walls. Professor Rae and Professor Lainley are on the grounds to retrieve the bodies of the latest students killed in the Gamekeeper's Hut. Standing guard is a small group of students.

LORD VOLDEMORTIST HAS ARRIVED! There is a decidedly one-sided battle going on outside the school gates, and already one student has been killed (Gryffindor?). The conclusion of the battle is still to be determined, but cast your bets.

Lord Voldemortist is now in the Entrance Hall, and being attacked from basically all sides. Backing him is a Slytherin girl Ari, though he doesn't appear to care or notice. He's just been stopped in his tracks with a Full Body Bind casted by Professor Rae...but will it hold him?

After managing to reach the hallways, Voldemortist was not only tailed and attacked by Professor Rae and her enthusiastic helpers, but faced a homemade obsticle course that resembles a full-scale version of something out of a "Home Alone" movie, prepared by both Nadia and Ganymede. It caused him a little trouble, but after apparently using Legitimency on Sir Puppington, Voldemortist discovered a secret passageway to bypass the Hallway of Ultimate Messes. Rae has hit him with an Impediment Jynx at the entrance to the passageway, and Ari has been subdued...for now. It's all up to Proffesor Rae to stop the Dark Lord.

In the Spirit Room, a small band of students is preparing to ambush Voldemortist should he make it this far. All are disillusioned and anxiously waiting. Headmaster Hendrik's status is unknown.

Professor Rae duelled Lord Voldemortist in the secret passageway and into the main room of the Spirit Room, where she was stabbed for her efforts and left to die while Voldemortist made off with the BoM to who knows where next. Sir Spots attempted to help by performing the ritual in hopes that, with a body, he would be able to escort Professor Rae to the Hospital Wing, but the attempt failed. Now we have no Sir Spots.

Professor Lainley has left the Hospital Wing, desperate to reach the Spirit Room in time to help/save Professor Rae. Right now she's having difficultly getting across the leftover booby traps in the hall (oops!) and is escorted by Terry Weasley and Jaren Kymers, who will probably insist on backing her up (chronicler's note: count on it

)

Professor Rae has been taken to the Hospital Wing.

The potion is almost finished; and another potion, a counter potion, has just been brewed by three students (Nadia, Terry, Raven) under the "instruction" of the school Poltergist Samea.

Sadly, the "counterpotion" Samea gave the students caused the drinker to become encased in iron. Raven being the unfortunate one to consume it first, has been escorted to the Hospital Wing to see what can be done about it.

The potion is completed, and has been moved to the Spirit Room, where whatever it is will commence.

The ritual (or ceremony, whatever) is well underway. Marcella has been restored (hurrah!) as well as Professor Lainey (hurrah again!) but the latter seems to have some minor difficulties. Marcella has moved herself (or has been moved) to the Intensive Care Unit in the Hospital Wing, where a Slytherin student has stumbled upon her in her newly restored and alive form. (That would be me.

) Hendrik seems to have detected a strange presence around the main room, so stay tuned...

Kris Airlia has been restored, but considering she should have died 50 years ago, she returned into the body of a 90-something year old. Not pleasant. Also, the Slytherin who first met reincarnated Marcella collapsed to the ground at around the time Lord Voldemortist appeared and killed the student (draw your own conclusions, I'm not telling why.

) Currently he has recovered and has returned to stand guard over Professor Riddle, but will he be allowed to stay?

Professors Airlia and Pheonix have awakened...somewhat. Hendrik has left to confront Lord Voldemortist (HUZZAH!)

DUEL OF THE FATES: Aaaand the results are in!!

HM Hendrik v.s. Lord Voldemort: Round One at the Entrance Hall

Result: Hendrik 0, Lord Voldemort 1

HM Hendrik + Hendrik + Hendrik + Hendrik (did I miss anyone?) v.s. Lord Voldemort: Round Two at the Castle Grounds (near Forbidden Forest)

Result: Hendrik 1 + BoM, Lord Voldemort 0

(Note from Dark_Chimera: He stole that cloning idea from Monkey King!) HM Hendrik: Hahahaha! very Funny! I never even heard of Monkey King! I thought it was a somewhat original idea....*sigh* Oh well.
Overall victor: By a hair, HM Hendrik! (The crowd goes wild. Cheers, confetti, several tired students and staff collapse.)

Current status of downed staff:

Professor Riddle: Asleep
Professor Lainley: Asleep
Professor Rae: Asleep
Professor Pheonix: Semi-unconcious, very sick
Headmaster Hendrik: Awake, in Intensive Care Unit, watching Professors
Professor Airlia: Semi-concious(?)
Sir Puppington: Gone forever...

Nurse Lotus: Working overtime.

Season: Early to mid winter. Lots of snow. Stormy because of HM Hendrik clone changing the weather.

Status of student body: Zzzzz....

Time: I don't know anymore. Late afternoon?

OOC: I feel like a sports announcer..."And a left hook! A right hook! And heeee's out!"

Which I was voted for but never did get down to actually participating...honesty. When I found out my character was one of the four HIT for Slytherin, I freaked, because I knew I had to go on vacation away from the internet for at least a whole month (whole month on SS equals almost half the term, if not all.) I knew that before, but my character would definately participate in such a tournament so I didn't really have a choice but to send in a nomination...seriously though, I didn't think I'd actually get in. (sighs) It would have been fun too...

Nope, the first 3 terms seem to be in a bit of mess. I believe the term you would be referring to is the "Mysterious Tapestry" term where Chris set up the school story and stuff. It's the 3 (?) terms before that which are all confused.

Well, I can't tell what happened then either seeing 'Nadia' entered the school in the so-called 'third year' (according to Hogwarts, A History), the year of the Tapestry. And, an Inquisitor?

Now, now, how interesting... (maybe we should be able to tell by the date of the realease of OotP, seeing the Inquisitor idea must have come most surely with the introduction of the Umbridge character. If the terms have a predeterminated month-leght, we should be able to erase the extra-years.)

The last words Professor Elensar heard were "you failed me" coming from Voldimortist (in her head, so Nadia is not supposed to know

) so if she was supposed to kill Marcella she surely couldn't. Again, the flying spell would have visible (save it was performed from very close to the other body, save Nadia and Raven's plan of using a snowstorm.) Enough rambling, you can take your own guesses.

By the way, I think I have the username of the student who was expulsed after performing the Killing Curse (and supposedly killed GoldenLugia) but I have tried PMing him/her and s/he won't respond. I'll look for it if interested though (if not erased for inactivity...)

Hogwarts High Inquisitor must have been the term before the tapestry, because I remember reading the SS Quill that term and it said something about the inquisitor having dissapeared or sacked, can't remember which.

The past fades as rapidly as the present...

The "Mysterious Tapestry" plot was my first term, or the fourth (?) term according to Hogwarts, a History. I know that it started December 6-7, because I was so giddy "riding" the Hogwarts Express...

Back then the common room was already open even though the term hasn't officially started yet. 'Twas fun, hehe. Used to be my favorite place here.

Backslash/Jaren's statement seems to make sense.

A student was able to do a Killing Curse on a professor? Hmm... isn't that a bit... odd?

Yeah, the High Inquisitor was the term that was started around the time the fifth book was released (my first term, actually). Unfortunately, the school is only just starting to get organized into consistent term lengths (and stories) so, there isn't a way to really find out how many terms were prior but, I'm wagering there were probably 2.

Those dates don't really make any sense to me since that was the term before I was hired as a staff person and that term started in March... Oh poop, I think I've lost track of the terms again. I suppose that does make sense, which means the Inquisitor term was the term for the fall and my first term was... I can't remember any of the story whatsoever from my first term. Hmm.... thanks for those dates, though Edge, that does help quite a bit.

I remember, when I (IC) was in my first year (I'm in my third now), some Death Eater in the making started Avada Kedavra-ing students. He was in the last issue of the school paper I think.

Wow, I post something and then leave it overnight...I did *not* pass out! I just collapsed to the ground in pain. Maybe I should have made that more clear...anyway. (Poor Jaren's dignity has gone down in flames...ouch.) This is *really* getting interesting, and if you're as confused as me, read the updated list of events.

I know how you feel, Backslash. After my first couple of posts I realized that I sometimes need to clarify my actions in an ooc for those who miss key elements of a post (for example: I am in the basement and you can't see me).

Read the Hogwarts a History, or at least my thread. I need not say this, but really, with a name like Lord Voldemortist? You should be able to tell. This is where we discuss what happens in the school (the RP).

(Blinks and almost jumps out of his skin when he realizes Lord Voldemortist just replied to his post) Yikes. Too much RP-ing. I thought you were about to blast the thread apart. I should get out more often...but actually I caught on right from the first post that you moved to the non-existant basement of the Shrieking Shack, so I guess if anyone gets confused, they should just re-read the post until it clears.

I agree that this term is so totally amazing. Since I joined I didn't really get into the rp kinda swing of things and now I can't believe what I have been missing!

It's all so planned out and constructed so well and everything that has happened has been a major shock *coughmydeathcough*.

But, I'm not really catching any of the buzz or conversations of excitement or what have you, cos I can't see the common rooms

. So please I appeal to any member of staff to allow me to view the Ravenclaw Common Room, I am literally on my hands and knees here beggin' and you don't understand how frustrating it is.

Now since I can't join in the RP, reading about the RP is all I can do and I'm ripping my hair out with utter desperation to view the common room(s).

I know that I cannot post ( duh cos I'm dead ) but I MUST view them, I NEED to read the fellow students reaction to all of this!

Unfortunately there was no easy way to make it so that dead students could see their common rooms. I know you get reactions of people and stuff in there but, all the action takes place outside so it really isn't necessary. I'm really glad you like the RP and I hope we have the energy to pull another one off next term (I don't know about the rest of the staff but, I am completely worn out already- good thing my character is unconcious for not LOL).

Jaren, Is Tobias dead? Hes killing more than students!! Gosh, I think I'll hide my cat. lol. Hee hee. To keep an update on somethings my character has done in the fight against that nasty Lord Voldemortist... I have placed several dung bombs and instant swamps about the school, hopefully blocking the way for the evil dude to reach certain targets! LOL!!! I love this site!!!
