| | Gryffindor Table For those who belong in Gryffindor House, on the left side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Red banners containing an embroidered golden lion float above the polished table in honour of the brave Godric Gryffindor. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growing as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Kazmi to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Cairo Gunter Gryffindor Fifth Year | Hello!!!! for anyone or anyone! i kinda suck at replies | Avid#JennShipper | Flowers& &Butterflies | LoverOfCupcakes One would Say Cairo was less than excited to be here another year but alas his parents went on about how 'everyone finished their schooling at Hogwarts' so he must too. He took a deep sigh upon his arrival into the building from the carriages and took a seat in his usual spot. lucky for him no one had taken the seat he enjoyed on the right side of the table. "I just wanna eat" It always seemed to take forever for the food to come out at this feast in particular. It seemed that every year there were more and more first years and it just seemed to take forever to this growing teenage boy.
He also wanted to take this robe off, it was so hot! he didn't care that it was 5 degrees outside, there were too many bodies in this room, and it was hot. He just wanted some Steak! a steak and potatoes were exactly what he needed to get through this first night and possibly some ice cream after! chocolate preferably, of course! It was in this moment that Cairo began disassociating with the sorting and completely zoned out into his own world. Potatoes and Steaks and Oh He liked the color Green; did he mention that? That was a new favorite, He realized it when he noticed how green the grass was in the pastures on the train over. "Is the sorting done?" he said to no one in particular. ugh this was too much. FEED HIM! |

| *love my home of Gryffindor* astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf REMY! HONESTLY! Could you just...could you....USUALLY SHE WAS SO GOOD AT BEING ON HIS SIDE OF THINGS AND OF ALL THE TIMES NOW SHE WAS NOT!?
Such betrayal, honestly, bEtRaYaL.
"Are you saying I don't look handsome anymore? The glitter doesn't..." and he paused to gesture at his sparkly well defined jawline. "...accentuate my features?" Not entirely fishing for compliments, but he wasn't opposed to hearing them either and USUALLY she was really good for giving him compliments. Her comment, however, had him looking at her chest...because of the missing tie...that he had not noticed was missing to begin with. Uh, right. Looking back up at her, he said the first thing that came to mind. "I don't think you look bad without a tie." It was the honest truth AND he scooted closer to her again since she had scooted away AND he had things to whisper to her about.
Smiling at Remy DESPITE HER BETRAYAL, his bright blue gaze moved on from one blonde to another - an older Gryffindor bloke who he really only knew on the outer peripheries. Her did not know many older students besides dear unrequited Phoebe James. He shrugged his shoulders a bit, the temptation to offer something snarky by way of 'no thanks, this was intentional and I'll stay this way' very prominent but he manages to restrain himself and instead offers a slight shrug of the shoulder. "I mean...I guess...mum always says to wash up before dinner." He padded his robes, his slime covered glittery robes, to look for his wand...since he couldn't quite remember at the moment which pocket he had tucked it into.
Looking up when another older Gryffindor, a really pretty girl by the name of Charlie - Atlas paid attention where it mattered, tossed a tie to Remy. Not to be a hypocrite about keeping things in ones pocket BUT who kept extra neckties in their pockets?
Little too caught up in his own happenings to really have a breath to pay attention to the first year dynamics (though he now knew for certain that one was named ARDEN and another named HOOPER) and whatever was going on with the fifth years (though he did return Valentina's smile), Atlas triumphantly pulled his wand from the last pocket he searched (because things were always in the last place you looked for them, because you stopped looking after) and grinned at both Remy and the older bloke. He pointed to his robes first with a little confident 'Tergeo' but figured he would leave his glitter beard alone for now...for reasons.
He was half paying attention enough to hear a question from another newcomer....oh wait. Not so much of a newcomer. "Not yet, Cairo," he replied, pointing to the first year and then to the queue of people still waiting for their moment with the hat. It was considerably shorter now though, so there was that. "But soon."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sloane Aubrey Knott Slytherin Fifth Year | Peace out Gryffindor. It's been good knowing you. ]Hooper figured that no one had actually understood what he’d said but someone confirming it to him made him almost cringe inwardly. That was so not cool. How had he allowed this? He, Hooper Ridley-Rush?! He was so cool back home at his old school. About answer Delilah’s question, Hooper quickly turned towards Arden because he’d ignored her? Had he? The last minute had been a massive embarrassment of a blur to him. “Oops. Sorry Arden. I…I honestly didn’t even notice you’d been sorted yet,” a sheepish grin on his face now was he looked over at her. “I can’t believe we’re both in Gryffindor together! That’s just nuts. Although, if you’re going to suggest more chilli ice cream again, could you do it at another table?” laughing a little now as he felt himself relax a little.
Turning as someone new arrived (Summer) at the table, Hooper flashed them a smile and introduced himself as he still kept one eye out for Parker who still hadn’t been sorted yet! “Hey, I’m Hooper,” his attention now turning back towards Delilah, Arden and another new person (Mozart) talk of food. His stomach really was starting to rumble, so much so that he wasn’t even aware of the whole…glitter…thing that was going on between some of the older students (Atlas and Remy).
After a moment however, his attention was completed zoned in because his best friend had finally been called up to the sorting hat! “Shhhhh. Shhhh!” he mumbled to anyone who was still talking to him or paying attention to him, which he wasn’t really sure about at this point anymore. PARKER RENFROW was up boys and girls! It was time for his best friend to join him at Gryffindor and then all of his plans and schemes would begin to be put into place. They would rule the school! Hooper watched carefully as his friend walked up and sat down, a smile on his face as he waited for Gryffindor to be shouted out across the hall and thankfully, he didn’t have to wait long! What wasn’t planned though was both the house name that was shouted out and his reaction to the news he had been sure wasn’t going to come. Hufflepuff? HUFFLEPUFF? What was this stupid, old, scruff hat doing? It must have been so old that it couldn’t have heard Parker tell it that he wanted to be in Gryffindor!
Hooper watched for a moment as Parker sat there on the stool without the hat on and just stared himself, speechless for a moment as cheers erupted around him. Unable to remain seated any longer, he stood up and stepped over the wooden bench he’d been sitting on and started to walk straight over to the Hufflepuff where he’d saw Parker had gone to or at least, he was about to before the headmaster had started his speech. He may not exactly care for the rules which he wasn't sure of yet but he sure wasn’t going to be that bad and walk across the room when the headmaster was talking. No. Instead, he simply waited for the speech to end, which took forever. Who actually cared about staff changes and all of that stuff? He didn’t even know any of the other teacher that had been here before although the part that talked about vines and curses did make his ears burn a little for a moment and the part about the forest? He noted that away for later when he had time to actually think about it.
Doing his best to ignore the absolute feast that has just appeared in front of him, he stood up again and quickly moved away from the Gryffindor table, unaware if any eyes were on him.

| A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself. Trissa was untangling her braid as she marched towards the Gryffindor table and sat on the bench. Before looking up, she placed the pouch her stepmother had knitted for her on the table and inserted the elastic band inside.
The Gryffindor politely clapped her hands as the new first years were sorted into their Houses, but she cheered whenever a new Lion joined them at the table. She happened to be seated next to one of them, but just as she was about to introduce herself, the new Headmaster began his speech. Right! Trent had resigned at the end of the previous term! She liked Kazmi as a professor, so she wasn't opposed to this decision.
As the food was magically being served, Trissa pointed to one of the bowls that were out of her reach. "Can you pass the bowl of mashed potatoes?" she inquired of the person nearby.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Bonnie Ness First Year | Dan's 431st grlfrnd Oodles of doodles
Still in a bit of a daze, Bonnie made her way over to the Gryffindor table. There already appeared to be a lot of noise and excitement going on. She noticed there was a few older kids already sat together in the middle of the table. Too nervous to approach them she continued to make her way along the table.
In amongst the noisy kids, who looked more her age she saw the unmistakeable glittery head of Arden. The girl she had met on the train was already in excitable conversation with a few other first years.
Glad they had been sorted into the same house, Bonnie sat down by Arden and her friends. Remembering her mothers warning and not wanting to interrupt, Bonnie smiled and waved.

| Just before the Food appears. Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right. Huh....well Darren was absolutely sure he heard the first year say the name Tom somewhere in that whole chaos of an introduction. "Alright, Hooper Hooper Ridley-Rush" Darren figured he just meant one Hooper obviously. "Think I might call you Hooper for short." At this point he had heard him say his name was Hooper Ridley-Rush a few times now so that name was logged in, and logged away.
There was bit of disappoint on Darren's face when Charlie came and sat with Noah, and him. Not that she chose to sit with them but because she so graciously offered Remy a spare tie...she somehow had on her. What about his magic and the offer to make a tie, it would have been cool right!? A Napkin into a tie?! "Evening Charlie. Did you have a good summer?" Darren spoke with a bit of a forced smile. The words were genuine but she stole his thunder!
Oh for the love of! Darren was willing to help. He got his wand out and ready for Remy, and Atlas was just gonna clean himself up. If you even could consider that clean. He missed so many spots. "Smart Mum." Darren said still a bit grouchy from his moment being taken from him. He did the wand motions at the napkin he was gonna turn into a tie and just cast a non-verbal avifors transfiguring the napkin into a small white bird. Letting it hop around on the table for a moment or two before non-verbally motioning his wand and reverting it back into a napkin. Then he pocketed his wand and just rested his head onto his hand with a big ol' pouty face now placed on it.
He was too focused on Atlas' issue to see that Kinsay had looked back his way. Focusing on the group of Lions around him at the moment. His thoughts did go back to her a moment before another voice spoke up nearby him (Cairo) "I'm sure Headmaster Kazmi will get right to his speech once the last of the students get sorted." Adding to Atlas' remark to the impatient Gryffindor. He also looked back toward the Dais. Yeah okay that was Kazmi sitting in the center, unless the Flying Professor was pulling some elaborate prank. There was a rumble in Darren's tummy as well. So Cairo wasn't alone in being hungry.
