Default High Street

High Street is the main street of Hogsmeade, from which you can access all its most famous shops. This particular street connects to several narrow streets and alleyways due to how the shops are laid out. Some of these passages will take you to other shops and even the residential area of the village. Stay on this path until the very end, past Dervish and Banges, and you will find yourself coming to a stop at a stile that faces the mountain beyond.

It is not common for those who are people-watching in the benches next to the street lamps to see large numbers of students and adults ambling up and down the pavement and peering into shop windows. After all, this is the most popular place you can meet up with your friends before heading over to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer, entering Zonko's with a mischievous grin, or entering Honeydukes with your mouth already watering.

Bundled up in her cloak and green-and-silver scarf, Lydia strolled down the high street of Hogsmeade. She was extremely pleased her parents had managed to send the signed permission form. It was nice to get out of the castle for a while and actually explore a real, live wizarding village! Apart from Diagon Alley, she'd had no experience with how witches and wizards lived once they graduated from school. This was bound to be a fascinating trip.

There were so many places to explore. Which should she try first? The candy shop? Lydia could smell it from the street; it smelled heavenly. Oooh, there was a joke shop. That sounded like fun too. Some of her friends had mentioned butterbeer, which she hadn't yet tried. That was definitely on her to do list for this trip!

Lucas had kind of missed all the previous Hogsmeade weekends thus far this term, and he didn't mind. He was focused on his studies and making friends his first year as a transfer. But he needed a BREAK from his OWL preparations. He knew he was early for that, but he wanted to feel extra prepped. He wanted no anxiety, stress, or nervousness.

The fifth year Slytherin didn't quite know where to go first. He had been to Hogsmeade before, briefly, before starting at Hogwarts. His family had wanted to see the school...and he had hung out in some of the shops. Did he want chocolate? Butterbeer? To see the Shrieking Shack more up close now that he wasn't as scared about it? He bumped lightly into a smaller person -

"Oh, I'm so sorry--" He noticed the student as a younger student...a first year. In his own house, too. "I'm sorry I didn't see you--" He smiled though. She was short. Could she blame him?
