Even acknowledging that Gideon hadn't really raised her very far up, and that part of that might have been because she had still been standing when he'd cast the charm, she was still not on the ground anymore. At least she was staying relatively upright, considering she'd seen what had happened to some of the others who had already been on the levitating end of things. Plus, she hadn't fallen yet, which was a testament to her partner's ability at casting the charm. It had to take more focus that it did to levitate smaller objects, after all. In fact, she imagined that was most likely the reason Professor Bellaire was having them levitate each other in the first place. There was no need to complicate things if they were already rather complicated.
She hadn't expected the answer to her question, though, and she'd closed her eyes as another flicker of fear went through her. Either that meant he really didn't know, or it meant she was destined to have to deal with being up here for longer and he just didn't want to tell her that. They'd snapped back open as he'd spoken again, however, realizing that she was going to be set down again. She held her breath as he'd actually started, especially as she felt herself start tipping forward the slightest bit. She didn't want to hurt herself now, not after it had gone relatively well before, and she found herself stretching her toes toward the floor, helping to guide herself to a stop. She collapsed into a sitting position once she'd landed, the fear hitting her yet again full force, but she looked up at him reassuringly to tell him she was okay. "Mmm, that was...," she said after a moment. Good, odd, frightening to no end? She really wasn't sure, but she didn't want to scare him. "Did you want a moment before I try to levitate you?" To prepare, to make any last requests. She was fairly confident she could at least do as well as he had, but she needed to stand up again. So maybe it was more asking to have a moment herself.
As Stella moved lower and lower to the ground until her feet finally touched, Gideon had been unconsciously holding his breath. However he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relied when it was all over, his head tilting slightly as she continued lowering herself until she was seated. The spell had been broken, his wand and wand arm back at his side since she had first been back on the ground so he figured it had to have been her doing. "Are ye alright?" he asked a touch concerned though as she spoke she seemed okay. He just wished to be sure.
He listened as she tried to explain things certainly curious as she broke of not adding a final adjective to describe it. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? Sure Gideon loved to be up in the air and flying but he had never been in the position to be up off the ground without the help of the broom. Not that it was going to be too far and there was no way Stella was going to be able to get him as high as he was on the quidditch pitch. The effort would have had to have been enormous and the ceilings weren't nearly that tall. The prefect nodded at her suggestion, doing his best to prepare himself for what was to come. A deep breath...a bite of the cheek and an exhale followed as he took his time.

It took all her efforts to maintain an even tone when talking to Daichi.
"Mr.Katharos go practice the charm with Miss Hutchinson. You may use the balls, I need to go tend to those students." She always snarled the words out. With a quick motion of her wand she pointed Indie to Daichi. They better get at it right away, her mood was rapidly going south.
"Enough!" And if they were stupid enough to continue by all means, it was their heads.
"Fifty points from each of you and detention. You are suppose to be setting a positive example for the younger students and look at you. On your feet NOW." Did you see the steam coming from her ears? Because she was sure she could feel it.
"All of you to the back of the classroom, face the wall. If I hear a word from any of you it will be ten points off for every syllable." If they thought she was joking they could test her....They were sooo welcomed to. Why did they think she would stand for this madness?
She turned back to the rest of the class.
"Does anyone else want to lose points? If not, continue as instructed." She glared at all of them.
And then all trouble broke loose.
Professor Bellaire's voice rang throughout the classroom grabbing his attention and causing him to look. The words about to tell Stella she could take her tone silenced on his lips. What in Merlin's beard? What had he missed and what had the students...including Paulie done?
50 POINTS!
Gideon swallowed in surprise before catching the professor's response to the rest of the class. Right...going back now. The prefect quickly turning his attention back to Stella. "I...I guess we better continue," he mused as he worked on re-preparing himself. "Whenever yer ready."
Not that João didn't enjoy the show. On the contrary, he wanted to hug Aspen for thanks for taking care of Paulie for him. Despite all his efforts of being friendly and trying to see the boy in a friendly way, João just couldn't resist that evil inside him that prodded him into doing mischief. But Aspen, the wonder of Aspen had done that for him. And he got the same amount of entertainment out of it. Her way of taking care of people was just quite unique.
When she talked to him though, he was quite relieved. Because she spoke normally, as if that nasty encounter had never happened between them. And João observed that this new wand was quite strong that it was a real weapon in her hands. She was welcome. Whenever she needed, he would blast her wand again.
Hehe.
Or maybe not. Smirking evilly, he said as quietly as he could so that only she would hear it: "Just drop him, then." That was what he did, simply, to him. So why shouldn't Aspen simply let him... fall, as well?
Aspen's head tilted to the side, and she noted that the Head Boy also tilted... oops. It was admittedly tempting TO use Joao's advice and just drop him. But with the way he was SPINNING, what if he fell on his head? Aspen didn't want to HURT the Head Boy, not at all.
Though on second thought, maybe a drop to his head would knock sense into him? Maybe...

But what.... Aspen looked panicked. No, Aspen WAS panicked. Points could be earned back, detention was... well, that sucked, but get to her FEET?
What about Paulie?
She'd already lost concentration anyway though, and as her charm LIFTED, the Head Boy met with gravity. Aspen tried a QUICK and SILENT Impediement Jinx to slow/stop the Head Boy from bonking his head too hard. He was NO doubt dizzy....
....
Aspen pushed to her feet slowly, not really making eye contact with anyone and then offered a hand down to Joao. Might as well. Funny how JOAO, the worst of the "bad kids in Charms" was the least of Aspen's worries at the moment. The other two, the Prefect and Head Boy...

For now, while Violet got ready, Lily's mind started to wander, causing her to look around and see... well, she wasn't sure what she was seeing. Her eyes popped open, but then were turned away once the professor started yelling. All the redhead knew was to make sure that she didn't get in trouble and loose more points after Ravenclaw had already lost 50 points.
Turning back to Violet, Lily waited for the ball to head over towards her. After a couple of tries on her partner's part, the ball flew over and Lily carefully caught it and placed it on the ground. "Nice job! Here it comes!!" It was her turn again so she gripped her wand, did the motion and spoke clearly with conviction. "Wingardium Leviosa!!" The ball shot up and zoomed over towards Violet faster than it had the first time. Lily tried to slow it down and keep it under control, but that wasn't quite working. The ball had a beeline course for Violet and didn't seem to be slowing or moving no matter what Lily did. "Look out Violet!!!"
Violet's head snapped up to the commotion when she saw the professor yelling at a group of older students. Were they…in the air? The professor looked quiet unhappy and Ravenclaw had just lost fifty points.
Fifty points… That was a lot. How could they be so irresponsible? Violet swore she could literally see steam coming out of the professor’s ears. It was a scary site to see and she hoped that they wouldn’t have to face that type of a punishment in her school career. Lost in thought and still staring at the older students who should be having quite embarrassed faces while the whole classroom stared at them, she didn’t see the ball coming until she heard Lily call out. As the first year turned her head, the ball was flying at her face already.
Boink!
It bounced off Violet’s forehead and dropped to the carpet with a soft thud. “Oof.", she muttered, and then rubbed her forehead at the spot the ball hit her. It didn’t hurt her since it was just a rubber ball, but Violet scolded herself in her head for not paying attention. “Sorry, lily,” she said laughing. “I wasn’t paying attention. I’m alright. Don’t worry about.” And picked up the ball. “Wingardium Leviosa!” and the ball rose again. It flew in a high arc towards Lily.
They were something to worry about.
...
... ...
... ... ... did she say FIFTY? As in, the combination of FIVE and ZERO? As in, where the FIVE came before ZERO? As in... FIFTY?
João's ears started to ring. He bet they were as red as a tomato. His whole face was getting redder, in fact. Not because of the shame, but because of the anger and injustice. He was getting a detention too? That he was the victim? That he was sat on? That he was hit Aspen and then dropped on purpose? And what about Sierra? All she ever did was refer to 'Romeo and Juliet'. For all he cared, Paulie and Aspen could stay in detention forever because they weren't Slytherin. But he and Sierra, that was just unfair.
Accepting Aspen's hand without even noticing he was holding her hand that she offered voluntarily, he got up and looked pleadingly at the professor. He had done nothing wrong, just like Sierra. If anything, they were the victims here.
Why did Slytherin lose 100 points quite unfairly?
With a muffled frustrated sigh, he went over to the wall and stood there as intructed. Unlike Sierra who he couldn't understand either, he didn't lower his head but kept it high up. Because he and she had done nothing wrong.

Sierra was still standing off to the side when she heard the booming voice of the professor yell for them to stop. Well, actually, she'd said the word 'Enough', but yeah. Same meaning.
...but then the next words out the professor's mouth froze Sierra in her tracks. FIFTY POINTS?! ...and a detention?! Now she'd lost points before, and it hadn't affected her, but she was working so hard to maintain her grades this year. She'd come so far and was even the top student in her house. Not to mention the fact that her mother and father were going to ground her for seven lifetimes. O_o
...but she'd backed off. She hadn't even been in the big quarrel and had even tried to steer Aspen back on task. She opened her mouth to say something, but then the professor threatened them with ten more points if they said even a word. ...and this was her first year as prefect, too. Looking around, she realized she was the only prefect involved.
All she could do was blink. After this class was over, she just wanted to get away. She'd never had a detention. Almost five years of school, and now....UGH. She felt terrible. Not even wanting to look at anyone else, she just looked down to her feet and headed to the back of the room.

" Wingardium Leviosa." swish and flick and wawy went the ball again headed back towards Minerva.
Minerva watched the ball coming at her, she lined her hand up ready to catch it. As the ball got closer she didn't want to wait any longer so she dove for it a bit catching it before falling to the floor. She got up laughing and then placed the ball back in her palm "Wingardium Leviosa" she said swishing and flicking her wand. She sent the ball spinning towards Justin.

Stella hadn't needed Gideon's question to know that he was curious about why she was on the ground instead of still standing. She nodded even as she'd been speaking, just to make sure he knew she was alright. She just wanted a few moments of connection with the ground, after not being able to feel it for a while. It hadn't been long, of course, but it had been long enough. Although at least she hadn't ended up like Paulie, or any of the others who had ended up sideways, upside down, or in any other sort of crazy positions. She thought she probably would have fainted if that had happened, so maybe she really had ended up with the best partner. It remained to be seen if she was going to manage to do the same to him, however, which was why she'd made perfectly sure to give him as much time as he needed to prepare. At least she could hope he wasn't as afraid of flying as she was, though.
As she'd finally climbed back to her feet, figuring it would be easier to control her charm when ever she cast it if she was standing for some reason, she'd glanced to the side as she'd heard mention of Romeo and Juliet. Temporarily forgetting she should be asking Gideon if he was ready to be levitated as she got distracted by thoughts of Shakespeare. It was only Sierra, though, talking to João and Aspen, while Paulie was still spinning wildly. So nothing like where her brain had gone, since she was fairly certain Sierra would not have been suggesting they act scenes out or anything, and even the theatre thoughts had vanished at the shout from Professor Bellaire. Eeep!, she thought, eyes widening at first the massive points losses from all four people she'd been looking at, and then the fact everyone else had been instructed to continue what they'd been doing previously.
She hadn't even needed Gideon's statement to turn her attention back to him, sliding her wand out carefully even though she really needed to calm her mind down after the shock that had returned at the mess nearby. "Bien sûr," she replied quietly, momentarily reverting to French again before she shook most of her own surprise off. "Are you sure you don't need more time to get ready yourself?," she asked, slightly raising her wand as she'd spoken. She was hoping not, because she was back to wanting to get things over with. And, with another deep breath, she pointed her wand at him with a swish and flick. Time to concentrate. "Wingardium Leviosa!" She wasn't about to risk doing anything wrong now.

Perhaps, the person who needed the hospital was not Kurumi, but in fact Selina. Eh, what else was new? Everyone knew Selina was mental anyway and this only helped firm up some things. It was not like she was ashamed of who she was at all. It was just the way things were and she was just glad she had not maimed Kurumi.
With a smile she cheekily added, "Well I couldn't tell how far you were off the ground because you were hanging upside down... skewed the height and everything." She wished that she had gotten a photograph of Kurumi hanging upside down. It was one of the top Kurina class moments and they had quite a few... including breaking Selina's nose. That day was also a Charms class- go figure.
Then she saw Kurumi prepare to levitate Selina herself. The redhead moved a little so she was in sight of pillows so if she fell she would be alright like Kurumi had been. But then Kurumi said she was going to perform the task non-verbally. The fifth year's eyes widened and she choked out, [B"Wait... what? No! Don't do that- WOAH!"[/B]
Suddenly Selina was starting to lift up in the air and she shut her eyes tightly. She needed her broom, she wanted her broom, this was awkward and unnatural! Her hands stuck out to try and balance herself out in the air so she did not flip upside down like Kurumi. When she felt somewhat balanced she opened her eyes to see Kurumi standing there silently performing the spell perfectly non-verbally. Of course, Kurumi would have never have failed with anything in a class. She was the brightest witch of her age.
...but Selina was not. She did not like being suspended mid-air WITHOUT her broom. Her hands started to flail as she looked down at the ground. The more she flailed the more she noticed that she moved a little. Then a thought popped into her head. With a determined look on her face she started to move so her stomach was facing the floor and then she started to air swim over to Kurumi. Once she arrived she grabbed hold of her friend's collar and pleaded, "PUT ME DOWN!"
Kurumi simply smiled when Selina tried to protest. Wasn't going to work or help, Kurumi had made up her mind and if there was one trait that had been slowly rubbing off onto Kurumi for the past five terms it was most certainly Selina's stubbornness. And her outspoken nature. And her boldness. And her confidence. And...well, there were a lot of things that had been rubbing off now that Kurumi thought about it.
NOT THE POINT!
Kurumi's focus was somewhere around Selina's waist, imagining big strong invisible hands lifting her friend into the air from there so that she wouldn't topple around so much. The first time she had tried this on Walnut...she had foolishly thought about his tail at the last second and, well, let's just say Walnut had been VERY displeased with this and had shown his displeasure by visiting Kurumi's shoes in the closet...and Selina's...but the redhead didn't know that. Ahem.
When Kurumi saw Selina float into the air, she nearly lost her concentration from the sheer joy she felt at having performed the spell properly. YAY! She did squeak rather loudly when she saw Selina suddenly lean forward and was afraid that her best friend was losing her balance when it became apparent that Selina was doing it on purpose and...swimming towards her?
Okay...that warranted several giggles, but Kurumi still didn't lower her wand. She didn't even lower it when Selina all but shouted in her face while attempting to strangle her. Why was it always Charms? Wait, scratch that. Why did things always turn insane whenever they partnered for things? "Okay, okay," she said as she slowly began to lower her wand...

........only to completely drop it a few moments later when the professor exploded about something. Kurumi had heard the Ravenclaw girl show the charm a few moments earlier and seen Paulie sort of rise into the air, but she had been too focused on her own spellwork to have paid too much attention.
Until now.
Wait. WOAH! Fifty points? Each! Had Professor Lafay even taken away that many before? Wasn't that a little...extreme? Especially considering that they all were still, technically, on task and performing the charm. It wasn't like they were throwing hexes at one another... or had they been? And had she just taken points away from Paulie who had been more of a victim in the situation? Kurumi sort of just gawked at the scene for a moment and nearly answered the question about losing house points until she realized that it was a rhetorical one. She had learned her lesson about those from Professor Scabior. Those sorts of questions didn't need answers. Nod.
Slowly, Kurumi turned her attention back to Selina and gawked at her instead. Had she...landed on her feet? Kurumi had sort of lost focus there at the end because the professor had distracted her with her shouting.

So, Joao got out his wand and practiced the spell nonverbally. Paulie felt his feet lift from the ground and his body begin to float up and up and... okay, now he was getting quite close to the ceiling. And EVEN closer. Silently, he cursed the Slytherin on the ground and scrunched his eyelids closed in preparation for a head on collision with the ceiling. But, it never came. He opened his eyes and looked down at Joao.
"Gee, way to cut it -" ... Close.
The last thing Paulie saw was Joao's head swivel over in the direction of that girl he'd been staring at earlier, then he saw the classroom blur together as he dropped allllll the way down to the cushion. Thank Merlin for that cushion! Thanks to his ungraceful landing, he flustered and flailed his body around as he attempted to stand up. With his hair standing up every which way like a crazy person, he looked at Joao determinedly and grabbed his wand, which was fortunately unbroken from the fall, from his pocket. "My turn, Brazil Nut."
Smirk.
He tried the spell nonverbally as well, but it took Paulie at least five or six tries before it actually worked successfully. After the swish and flick, he kept his wand pointed on Joao as he raised him higher and higher. Now, being a seventh year, Paulie thought it only appropriate that he challenge himself, right? Surely implementing another spell would challenge him a little more..
So, with the traces of a smirk still evident on his lips, he used the locomotor spell to move Joao over some. Now, instead of hovering above his own cushion, the Slytherin moved over in the air and Paulie just so happened to 'accidently' bump him into the same girl whom he'd gotten distracted over before, the same one who apparently stole his attention away from Paulie and caused Joao to DROP Paulie.
And then... Paulie seemed to get butterfingers, for he fumbled with his wand, and it fell to the ground. Oooops. This could only mean that Joao would go falling fast, straight down to his new cushion by his lover girl, right?
And that's precisely what happened.

Of course, it was too late though. João's momentum, Aspen's clinging... Gravity wins. Aspen landed in a little heap, all elbows and knees, somewhat on João, somewhat on a cushion.
...
See? Bad things happened no matter what Aspen thought. She just... laid there. Unmoving. Not hurt, but not wishing TO be hurt either. So she'd just... not move.

SPOILER!!: UGH. HEAD BOY. UGH. NO. WHAT.
THAT got Odessa eyes open, WIDE and BRIGHT and ... oh when had she grabbed her wand?
"Shut up, Sierra," a RARE, RARE, who was even speaking? RARE moment of RAWR from the elder Odessa. She shimmied off of Joao...sort of... mostly. Getting off of him wasn't even important anymore.
Aspen set her wand to CHARMS, the crazy new wand that worked when it FELT like it and cast a LOUD...
POTENT...
WILD....
"WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA," at the 7th year Head Boy. She wasn't sure if she aimed steadily, but if the charm DID hit him.... that HEAD BOY would be HITTING BOY HEAD on the CEILING (and hopefully not on fire too? It was a new wand and all.... so...).
Temper? Maybe.
She was still on Joao. Yeah? So. And Sierra? Shut up.
And West? Don't look - Big Sister is busy.

"YESSS I DID IT!" Fist pump.
Now, he looked around for Aspen. Wait. WHY was she with that mean boy??? WHY WERE THEY HOLDING HANDS?
Blink.
Why did Sierra look madsad?
The Gryffindor one didn't matter to the small boy, so West didn't bother wondering about expressions and whatnot.
He just gripped his wand and staaaaared, trying to figure out what he'd missed.

"Consistent like Aspen said." West repeated, catching the ball with his non-wand hand and giving it a thoughtful squeeze. OKAY. He could do this... he could.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He swished and flicked, keeping it controlled and consistent instead of West!flared, and concentrated on the ball.
It wiggled in his hand a bit and West stared a hole in it, focusing so HARD that he didn't see the beginnings of the dramalamas on the other side of the room. It LIFTED into the air, still wiggling...

Kaiden nodded, you can do it. giving the boy just a little more encouragement. He watched as West performed the spell, and even saw it wiggle a bit, but his attention was suddenly drawn to the volition that was going on elsewhere in the room. The professor was yelling, and was that Pauline spinning? That did not look good. Suddenly, the ball landed in his out streached hands. Looking down, he saw it was their ball. Good

Justin smiled and laughed as she dove for the ball. " Nice catch, Min." then he caught the ball she had sent back to him. " Wingardium Leviosa." swish and flick....Off went the ball towards Minerva.

Minerva laughed and got ready for the ball to come back to her. She jumped up catching it as it came. She looked around to make sure the class was still all doing this, because it seemed they had been practicing awhile. She turned back to Justin swishing and flicking her wand "Wingardium Leviosa" she lifted the ball and sent it back to Justin.

West was all big eyed, trying to guess what was going on.
"That's my sister." He pointed at Aspen. "And that's my prefect." He pointed at Sierra. "And you don't want to know that one. He's bad." Pointing at Joao.
He shook himself and looked at Kaid. "Your turn!" And West would continue to sneak looks over THERE.

That was West's sister? Shes old. Kaiden couldn't help but observe. He looked at the others the slytherin boy pointed at. That was a lot of people getting in trouble, and Kaiden was glad it wasn't him this time.
My turn, right he said, looking down at the ball West had successfully hovered over to him.making his palm go completely flat, he swished and flicked his wand in a fairly small movement. Wingardum Levosa he said, really really concentrating. Come on, come on. It rose an inch or two and then fell back into his hand. well, its a starthe said looking over at west.

The Prefect gasped quietly and frowned at the scene. Joao, the jerk ex, was lying on the floor with A GIRL on top of him. Louisa's lips were pursed so hard together they lost color. WHAT was going on? How did the couple ended up in such an INAPPROPRIATE situation? She scowled and snapped her head away from them, grabbing Jonathan's arm and dragging him along with her. "Let's go to the other end of the classroom." Grrrr.
Non-verbally.
Both of them should be able to do it already. Well, Jonathan already can, he tried this spell one winter day during his sixth year while he was on vacation. He got bored and managed to lift up his book with this charm, non-verbally. Jonathan however, squinted his eyes to Louisa. TRY??? HECK NO. Well, not to him, she's not. She's seriously just have to try it right now? Out of all the days of this year? Jonathan slowly shook his head while his face is rigid from the word Louisa said.... TRY.
Before he could even say something against it, Louisa is now grabbing his arm and taking him away over to one corner of the room. Did he miss something that she suddenly acted weird and well, sort of mad? Jonathan looked at Louisa as his feet had no choice but to follow her. "What...."

...
He was again about to ask her if there was something wrong but then out of nowhere, the Professor's voice just became loud for everyone to here. She raised her voice... for the first time. Jonathan's eyes widened as his head turned to the Professor's direction. What is going on?
Then he saw the Ravenclaw and the Slytherin having some fun time with this activity, whatever it is they are intending to do. That guy had a really long name that Jonathan can barely remember what is the first syllable.
0___________________________0.
Jonathan's pale face grew paler when he heard a large amount of points have been deducted from the 2 of them. 50 points! Loud and clear. Word for word. What in Merlin's name? That was a large amount of points. This is unbelievable. Jonathan frowned. 50 points. It just kept repeating in his head. His head went completely blank with the activity that they're doing as he faced Louisa, and stayed speechless.

Sierra sighed softly as she continued to stand facing the wall. Were they going to have to stay here the entire time? She'd really wanted to be levitated, too, and they'd only gotten halfway through. Aspen had been levitated, and Sierra had been the one to levitate her. As much as she complained about having to go to class and do homework all the time, it felt really weird and out of place to just stand here.
Not to mention the fact that it was humiliating to face the wall like some lowly forgotten person. She felt terrible and was just ready to be able to leave class. She could hear the class continuing behind her. Were they all looking?! Blahhh. The worst part was that she would have to face her whole house soon. Would they know she'd been innocent?! She felt like she'd let this down. Her first year as prefect at that.
Max observed Ellie's preparation. Was she... nervous? She shouldn't be, he thought. Ellie was a fine witch; of course she would be able to levitate him. He wasn't worried. But when she asked him if he was ready, he nodded and shut his eyes, still trying to appear calm. He slowly exhaled, as if the expulsion of air from his lungs would somehow make him lighter. He waited.
And then he felt himself separate from the ground.
Max's eyes shot open and he kept himself in his ball, but he tilted his head sideways as he peered down at the ground while he rose in the air. He suddenly felt anxious, almost sick, and worried if he tilted his body he would fall. The feeling quickly passed, however, and he felt his body relax. It was kind of... fun? He even dared to smile.
But, of course, the sickly feeling returned again when he heard a THUMP and saw Aspen... clinging to a Slytherin boy? Surely by accident. Max had once heard that there was an unspoken rule among Ravenclaw girls that Slytherin boys were a big no-no. And then, seemingly as soon as the fall had happened, Aspen had her wand pointed on the Head Boy. And then he realized... how could anyone concentrate with such a distraction...? "Elliedon'tdropme!"
Excellent. This was good. Look at Max. He was even and not flailing and he looked as calm as could be, from Ellie's point of view.
The seventh year was actually SO proud of herself. She'd never lifted a human being before. Plus, it felt nice to kinda show Bellaire up that she was much more advanced than this spell, regardless of her intended target.
However, she was distracted. Because yelling and thuds and bickering was like that. But it was like driving, if Ellie knew how that worked, where she could pay attention to multiple things at once. She really could. Maybe her spellwork got just a bit sloppy, though. Max might have lowered a couple inches. And he might have tilted slightly to the right. Her right, his left.
But his exclamation brought her attention back. "Sorry," she muttered sheepishly, moving her wand to straighten him up.
The points loss? Whether it be two, fifty, or five-hundred, Ellie couldn't care less. But if it would put that Ravenclaw at ease, the dark haired one that lost the points, Captain Ellie will be more than happy to re-assure her that they'd win that back with Quidditch in the end. Because they totally would.

'ENOUGH!'
Paulie had been spinning around like mad and he couldn't see a THING properly, but his hearing was still acute. Then again, who COULDN'T hear that roar from Professor Bellaire?
....
Fifty. Fifty points...
FIFTY POINTS?!?! WHUUT was this woman thinking? Paulie closed his eyelids because that was a LOT of points.. and this was a lot of dizziness...
But, what was that next part? Uhm, yeah. It was kinda hard to be 'on his feet' when he had no control over his body up here in the air. Although, Aspen must have been too preoccupied and panicky over Professor Bellaire to think about Wingardium Leviosa, and so.. he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes. And somehow avoided hitting his head this time.
He groaned. And he groaned for TWO reasons. The first was attributed to the fact that not only had his head been throbbing from the initial collision with the ceiling, but the flips and spins in mid-air had now given him the WORST bout of dizziness he had ever had in his LIFE. The second reason: he'd just lost fifty points AND got another detention. As Head Boy, no less. Ughhhhh.
Oh, how he wanted to talk. He neeeeeeded to! The words were bubbling up inside him like a potion gone wrong! But he clenched his teeth together and mustered up the power to refrain himself. Ten points per syllable was utter insanity, but he'd lost enough points to test her.
He stood up, only to fall back down upon the cushion again. He really WAS completely disoriented. Cursing the fact that there were no desks to grab hold of for support, he slowly and unsteadily rose again, keeping himself crouched over some in case he fell again. Zig-zagging and fumbling every two or three steps, Paulie finally made it to the wall where the others were, his ears burning in embarrassment from the horrible dizzy stumbling walking he'd just been forced to perform before the rest of the class.
He rested his head upon the wall and massaged his eyes before pinching the bridge of his nose. This attempt of relief was not helping much.
Detention and fifty points. Merlin's beard. Was that Sierra girl over here, too? Yeah.. he did feel bad for her getting dragged into this, and he made a mental note in his spinning mind to approach Professor Bellaire later about retracting her punishment. That would have to wait, though, for when Professor Bellaire WASN'T livid, and HE wasn't a mess/responsible for losing more points for speaking.
Having not found a partner, Silvia had retrieved a ball and decided to start practicing. If anyone turned up who was still looking for a partner, she wouldn't mind working with them, although she was perfectly fine working on her own. Better to get some practice alone than wait for someone to partner with and possibly get very little.
By now she was starting to do much better. The first few tries she had managed to levitate the ball only for a second or two before it fell to the ground. But after a few minutes of practice, she managed to keep the ball levitating for longer. Holding the ball in one outstretched hand, she once again said "Wingardium Leviosa," with a swish and flick of her wand. The ball rose up in the air, and she concentrated on keeping it as steady as possible. Though, that concentration didn't last long when the shouting began. Silvia turned her attention to the commotion going on on the other side of the room, and the ball began to fall. She almost forgot to catch it until it nearly fell on her head.
There seemed to be a lot going on; spells (and their casters) getting a little out of hand it seemed. Though, she hadn't heard a professor ever take away that many points before. As curious as she was, she preferred to stay as far away from trouble as possible. She turned her attention back to the ball. Charms was one of her best subjects, so she didn't want to get too distracted by something that wasn't her business and not have the charm mastered by the end of class. With another swish and flick of her wand, and a "Wingardium Leviosa," the ball was once more rising to float above her head.

"She's fifth year." West answered proudly. It was better than having a really old sister, or a little sister, right? She was just enough older than him that she could teach him stuff.
But he was GOOD and turned his attention back to Kaid.
"YEAH good START!" Yeahhh! West cheered his Huffie friend on. "Do it again. I'm ready!" He got into a catchers position... but couldn't help but look over at his sister again.

Breathing quickly, Theodore's eyes darted around the room and he saw the younger kids levitating balls. BALLS, OH. It was the older kids who were levitating each other.
Face palm.
"Oh, no reason." Yeah, nip that one in the bud.
Okay, cool. He had a partner, and a cool partner at that. Theodore skipped over to retrieve their ball, and when he returned, he just stood there, unaware of what to do.
SWISH AND FLICK. IT WAS EASY, KINSLEY, GET IT RIGHT.
"Okay, I'll go first, yeah?" Yeah.
He placed the ball onto the floor, then pointed his wand at it. Oh god. Magic was scary. What was that spell again?
"Wingardium Leviosa!" The boy blinked, not moving his wand in the movements required, and the ball just sat there.
"Wingardium Leviozar!" The circular movement was there this time, but he pronounced it totally wrong. That was Theo's problem, he had trouble multitasking with wand flickin'. Getting annoyed with himself, he kicked the ball slightly to Blue.
"You go first."
Blink.
"What did you doooo?" Blue asked, suspicous. Pleeease don't let him have put something rotten in her school bag or something like that. She didn't want to have to punch him and loose points (when someone had lost FIFTY points already ...) and face a lot of angry Ravenclaws. NOPE.
"Sure." Blue shrugged with a smile, keeping her eyes on the ball, ready to catch it lest it hit her in the head... Was that why she'd want to kill Theo?
"Oh um...okay." NONONO. Not okay. Because this meant she couldn't copy him and she was going first and-and-and. Minor panick attack. She picked up the ball and did the swish and flick saying, "Wingardium Leviooooooosah!"
Nothing.
NOOOO. She was looking like in idiot in front of one of her besties. A frown line appeared between her two eyebrows and she said clearly, "Wingardium Leviosa!" With swish and flick. The ball rose into the air a couple of inches.
OHMYGOSH.
"YAY! I did it Theo I did it!" She clapped beaming. But, having lost her concentration the ball froze in the air and started to fall. "NOOOOES. Wingardium Leviosa!" Swish and flick.
The ball rose again ("YAY!") before flying through the air and smacking Theo in the face.

"Yay I managed to do that without dropping you. Do you want to practice again?" Alyssa offered her.

And... she said something about flying lessons? Uhm... it was the only class Nora refused to attend, because professor Vindictus had some unique ways of teaching them how to learn. Before she could levitate Alyssa once again, the professor's voice caught Nora's attention, as she got mad at some other students and... FIFTY POINTS EACH?! Freezing in her stance, she didn't even dare to say anything out loud about it, not even to Alyssa. She didn't want to get in trouble as well. "Okay, I'll try," she said as she turned back to the girl, pointing her wand at her. "Wingardium leviosa." Swish, flick, and Alyssa was back in the air.

As she finally felt like she couldn't concentrate that well anymore, Nora slowly lowered her wand until Alyssa was standing on the carpet. All this concentrating... well, it became exhausting.
