The Hovering charm, that shouldn't be too hard. Silvia had been meaning to practice the charm, it being near the top of her list of spells to learn this term. So she was glad to be spending some time on it in class.

She grasped an imaginary wand and began practicing the wand movements. Swish and flick. Swish and flick.

None He mouthed quietly to his Slytherin friend. He would explain more but it seemed that class had begun. Taking his finger and pointing it outward Oakey started to swish and flick his finger multiple times. Wingardium Leviosa, Wingardium Leviosa, Wingardium Leviosa. Oakey then practiced the words a few times. He already had a hang of this spell to begin with, but no point in not practicing it anyways.

Wingardium Leviosa. Right.

Nora was glad that this was a charm she had no problems with, having used it lots of time. But... they weren't going to make one another hover, right?! At least she knew they'd fall on something soft, but it was still insane! Anyway, going back to the lesson, Nora still had to practice the wand movement.

Swiiiiish and flick. Swiiish and flick. Swish and flick.

Kennedy was just getting comfortable on the cushion when Professor Bellaire began the lesson. He thought this wouldn't be a bad place to take a nap. The ground was soft AND he could use the cushions as pillows. That was probably the opposite of what the professor wanted though.

Oh. They were going to work with the hovering charm. Kennedy glanced down at his finger. He's done this charm before...lots of times. He didn't need to practice, but for the heck of it he still did it. He knew the incantation, he WAS a sixth year for Merlin's sake.

Okay, now the finger motion. He did a swiiiish then a fliiick, then faster. Swish and flick. Swish and flick. Swish and flick. Now all together, "Wingardium Leviosa!" and the swish and flick. He only did that for the sake of the younger snakes. Set an example, right.

After Alyssa gotten used to the wand movements of the spell, she started practicing the words to the incantation. It wasn't that she hadn't used the spell before but since this was a class, she would do as the Professor instructed. Practice.

So she repeated the words over and over again. "Wingardium Leviosa....Wingardium Leviosa....Wingardium Leviosa....Wingardium Leviosa...Wingardium Leviosa"

After making himself more comfortable on the cushion, Jory took his wand and followed the Professor's instructions.

"Swish and flick... swish and flick,'' he thought to himself as he practiced the movement, making sure he got it right.

Audrey diligently practiced the motions of the spell.

She wanted to get her first spell since since her leave correct.

They were going to practice the motion of the spell without their wands? How exactly were they supposed to do that when they had nothing to even practice with. Selina let her eyes wander around the room to see how people were completing this very peculiar task. Honestly, Selina would have felt much better if she had her wand to swish and flick around, but alas, she did not.

Awkwardly, Selina lifted her wand in the air and started to swish and flick repeatidly with her index finger. She felt foolish and silly, but it was the assignment. So she continued to swish and flick until she was told to stop doing so... which the Professor still had not done.

Only hands. Just an invisible wand. That was no fun, but Tag did as he had been instructed to do so. He watched the older students go at the motion of how their wrist and hand moved and he tried to imitate the same. His wrist bent making that swish and then he flicked it. As if he were trying to flick off a dart.Alright, swish and flick. Swish and Flick.Swish and Flick. He shook his own head at how his last swish and flick turned out looking like a cursive i.

Wingardium Leviosaaaaaa! Now, this was a cool charm. Theodore rattled in his seat with excitement.

The boy pulled out his wand with such a force, it almost flew completely out of his hand. Wand movements were always tricky for him. When actually performing spells, he always forgot them. But he watched the professor carefully, then mimicked the movement very slowly.

Swish and flick. Was simple enough.

YES. He had this.

Once he had mastered it, Theodore started getting carried away and was swishing and flicking at a stupidly fast speed. Enough to take whoever was next to him's eye out.

Michelle's eyes widened as the Professor demonstrated the movement for the Wingardium Leviosa charm.

Okayy... So we're supposed to practice the movement before we perform the charm?

Chelle stretched out her wand and concentrated on imitating exactly what the Professor had shown the class. Then she moved her wand in a swish and flick motion.

Swish and flick.

There. That was easy.

Practicing Wingardium Leviosa... At least Stella knew she wouldn't have too much difficulty in the lesson, even though she worried that she'd get a bit bored. It wasn't exactly a new charm, after all, but then it made sense to go over it because of all the first years in the lesson. She'd just have to practice making her casting as perfect as possible, even as she had a moment of wishing they had Professor Schirmer back again and all the metal charms they'd learned from her. Nudging her bag with a foot, she consoled herself with making Oberon give out a tiny, almost unnoticeable, growl, before she settled in to practice the wand movements. Without her wand, although she slipped it out of her bag just to keep the tiny metal tiger from chewing on it now that she'd woken him up.

Wingardium Leviosa, she thought, raising an imaginary wand and letting her wrist turn in the familiar swish and flick movement. It looked crazy, without her wand in her hand, but she knew it would have felt odder if she'd pointed a finger like Professor Bellaire had done. Unless she could figure out how to just channel wandless magic through a finger, but that wasn't the point of the lesson. Therefore, she'd just have to pretend her wand was in her hand for now, as she continued replicating the swish and flick movement. At least her acting ability could work for something.

Zack was pretty much excited for the charms class. He just loved charms. Charms and transfiguration were one of his most favorite subject in Hogwarts. He loved practicing with his wand the incantations of all the spell thoght in both the classes.

As he was sitting on one of the cushions he noticed that the class was looked so very different then it was the last time he was here. Though he liked the earlier one better this wasnt' bad as well. He noticed professor speak to the class and removed his gaze from the balls cantainer to the professor. He smiled as professor talked about the spell they were going to practice today. Zack was very much familiar with this spell and always wanted to practice it and lift thing easily. YAY he muttered excitedly under his breath so no one got disturbed. He was holding his wand in his left hand and moved his index finger of his right hand in a swish and flick way as instructed by the professor. He tried doing the the movement for about two three times until he thought it was perfect without his wand.

Laura looked at the Professor, had he just ignored her standing next to her, anyway still with her shoes on and standing next to the door she listened to the Professor though she didn't say a word, hopefully the Professor wouldn't realise she was still standing up with her shoes on.

"Ugh" Daichi couldn't help it. He let out a groan the moment he heard which spell they were going to be practising. The very spell that, despite it was a easy one according to some students, was his worst. The last time he had even tried to do the spell he ended up cutting a desk. Not in half, he didn't have that much power yet but it had let a large gap on the surface...

Good thing there was a fluffy carpet now...or not..

He lifted his hand in the in the air and pointed his finger out. After quickly looking around at his fellow students he mimicked their movements. Swish and flick...swish and flick...

This was easier than he thought, swish and flick~

Prudence sat herself upright on the cushions, intently listening to the professor trying to understand what was happening... this time... charms generally wasn't her strong point though she was surprised when Professor Bellaire started immediately, not bothering in asking that first question all teachers seemed to like asking.

So she raised her hand in the air, doing the movement that she was told to. 'Swish and Flick' she thought to herself, doing it once before repeating herself about 3 times as a just in case. Hopefully she'd gotten it right...

As she watched the others around her practice, it seemed several students were holding an imaginary wand while others were using their finger. The whole finger thing looked a little awkward, to be honest, so Ella grasped her imaginary wand even more firmly and held it out in front of her, shifting a bit on her green cushion. Alright, here goes. Swish-flick...swish-flick....swish-flick. The movement didn't seem too hard, though timing it with the words was probably going to be a little trickier. The second year continued to practice, waiting for the next set of instructions

Truth be told Hannah was kind of glad that they were doing something so basic. She was exhausted and this was just the kind of thing that would help her make it through this lesson.

With her finger she practiced...swish and flick...swish and flick...swiiish and fliiick.


She was done. I mean how many times could you really practice with your finger?

João smiled at Paulie reassuringly. He wasn't a jerk to breathe on him or anything. In fact, just to show his GOOD will and all, he had sat a bit spaced than normal, though he also didn't want to sit people any closer any more. You never knew what they would do.

"Don't worry," he said simply at him before his eyes fell on that girl Aspen as she looked at him too. He froze for a moment. What should he do? Should he... was he even allowed to acknowledge her or anything? He figured talking to her was impossible, but at least... maybe he should at least smile. He smiled quite unsurely at her after 3 dreadful seconds, and then regretted it. He had bloody blasted her wand into a million pieces and he was smiling at her! His smile quickly vanished when he remembered that and he lowered his eyes deep in thought for a moment. Maybe the best Brazilian chocolate would fix it? How was he supposed to know that wand meant her so much?! If she had blasted his away, he would just shrug and--

He practically jumped in his cushion when the professor addressed the class and got his wand ready, while peeking at Aspen to see if she got a new one. Thankfully, she had. He was relieved to no end. He even smiled to himself because of the tension, before he realised he looked silly.

Wait. No one got their wands out.

Looking around with a frown, he put his back into the holster and raised his hand simply to do the swish and flick once. He wasn't a baby, he knew the spell alright. One time of practising was enough.

Hovering charm? That's not very hard for him, since he had learned it when he was still in his second year in Salem. But now, they would practice it without the wand.

Wingardium Leviosa? Uh? That was such an easy charm. Why practice it now? Ira knew that charm well enough and she had used it many times before..

So... her initial guess had been correct! At least somewhat correct. That there was gonna be something like pillow fight. You know.. someone may throw a pillow at someone else.. and then that someone else could throw back to the first one or another one.. and so on! And all that could be done under the guise of practice of the hovering charm! Yes!

Anyways, Ira practiced the charm a few times as instructed.

Swish and flick... swish and flick... swish and flick! Now having completed practicing of hand movement, Ira waited for further instructions.

But seeing all those colorful multicolored cushions made her want to start a pillow fight!

Jordan thought that he was pretty confident with Wingardium Leviosa, but it was never bad to practise it even though he'd used it many times before.

He lifted his finger, tracing the wand movement with his finger...

He looked up at the Professor awaiting further instructions, it was highly likely that they would be levitating the balls and pillows in the lesson. That sounded like fun and would bring out the child in him.

Violet was really excited for the class. Well..the new charm was...Wingardium Leviosa! Where had she heard that spell before? She wasn't sure and placed her wand back into her pocket. Then she raised up her hand and attempted to copy the wand movement the professor at the front of the class was doing.
