An area in the middle of the library has been cleared of bookshelves and other equipment to make room for a big round circle of bean bags in all colours of the rainbow. There are two big bean bags this time around, one that is purple and one that is blue. Professor Cerulean and Professor Bellaire are sitting at each of the bean bags anxiously awaiting the students.
In the middle of the circle of bean bags there is a stack of blue copies of the Beedle the Bard book and a giant sized bowl full of candy. The candy has only been brought to the meeting because Mr Kitridge left them for everyone and wants to give everyone a treat. ans Cerulean has brought a a cooler full of Muggle sodas for everyone as well. Any food or drink found in the library at other hours/occasions will be thrown out and the student/s will be punished.
Go ahead and take a seat on a bean bag of your choosing and help yourself to a candy treat as you make yourself a name card while you wait for the meeting to start!
OCC: The meeting will begin this evening. Please have a seat and grab a book from the stack! Keep chatting to a minimum! If you haven’t then please take time to familiarize yourself with the rules for the library. Sorry this is a day late...I sat around all day yesterday feeling like I was forgetting something.. See you in a few!

Alyssa entered the library area where the next book club meeting was going to be held. She noticed that a circle of bean bags had been arranged and both Professor Cerulean and Professor Bellaire were already there waiting for the students to arrive.
Alyssa quickly made her way towards them and greeted them. "Hello Professor Cerulean. Hello Professor Bellaire. It is good to see you. I guess you'll be conducting today's reading. I hope Mr. Kittridge is okay. He didn't look too well the last time we were here." Alyssa asked concerned.
She turned around and noticed a stack of books and recognized them immediately. It was The Tales Of Beetle the Bard. Alyssa picked up a copy, sat in the nearest bean bag and opened the book to read while waiting for the club meeting to start.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
The Slytherin had not been to the first book club meeting so he didn't really know what to expect. A little nervously he entered the library area and immediately noticed the bean bags. At least they could sit comfortably.
As he took his bag off his shoulders, Daichi saw the two professors sitting on two bags and he quickly bowed his head. "Oh, hello professor Cerulean, Professor Bellaire" he greeted the two before moving to bean bag near Alyssa and sat down.
"Hey Alyssa" he waved his hand at the hufflepuff girl before he too reached out and grabbed a random book.
Yay, bookclub again. Sarah waltzed into the library, yet stopped,Professor Bellaire was there and she wouldn't like that. "Good day Professor Cerulean and Professor Bellaire," Sarah said, turning to each on in person in turn. It was great to be back!

Given that he was already at the Library most of the time, Vickers actually spotted the Professor prepping the area. But it was those familiar blue books that got this Ravenclaw to stop whatever school work he was doing and walked over to where the Professors sat on their bean bags. "Hello Professor Cerulean, Professor Bellaire." he greeted the two women respectfully then picked up the Beadle book and a few gum drops. Settling himself into one of the beanbags he popped a candy in and randomly leafed through the familiar stories, that fuzzy childhood feeling washing over him. He loved this book, he really did.

This particular Slytherin was rather glad for an actual excuse to get out of the dungeons. Even better that this was the second book club meeting, given her love of books. She made her way over to the circle of multicolored bean bags with a smile on her face and sat in an bright orange one. "Hello, professors," Emmanuelle greeted, before slipping one of the copies of Beedle the Bard of the top of the stack and grabbing a bag of gummy bears out of the bowl. Opening the bag and popping a bear in her mouth, she sat back to wait for the meeting to begin.

Ronnie skipped down to the book club meeting, glad she wasn't late like she had been at the first one. Now that had been embarrassing. . .
She walked into the library, and plopped down onto a green bean bag. Green. Like, the best color ever. She smiled. She loved that color, it was her favorite! She ran her hand lightly over the beanbag, it felt nice and soft. She then spotted-
THE CANDY!!!!!!!!
Ronnie grinned widely. Oh boy, candy! YAAAY! She took a few and popped some into her mouth as she started making her name card. Once she finished, she snatched a random book and some more candy. Heh. Ronnie liked candy.
Gemma smiled at each of the students as they walked into the book club area. She had to admit that she was a little bit nervous, because this was the librarian's baby and not hers and she wasn't an expert about books but when he had asked her to help she had said yes...she had already learned it was hard to say no to such a handsome face.
Once the room had filled up a little bit and the majority of the bean bags were taken, she took a deep breath in and a quick drink of her soda and then she started, "Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the second book club meeting of the term! We are excited that you could join us and Leobald has left us a great book to discuss." she said holding up her copy of the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Her copy looked like a little journal almost with a leather binding and gold and silver clasps around it. The edge of the pages were very worn and there were notes on almost all of the pages. She had taken a class specifically analyzing this book during one of her visits to a school in the states and had learned alot about the book.
"The Tales of Beedle the Bard is an older book that has been passed down for generations and shares a few of the most fundamental fairy tales and stories for the Wizarding community. The stories all have lessons to be learned from them and hold lots of clues on how one should live their life from day to day." she said excitedly as she glanced down at her book and opened it to the first few pages.
"Before we get started working with the book, let's go around the circle and let everyone share which of the stories in the book is their favorite and why and anything interesting they know about the book." she said glancing to the student to her left encouraging them to start.
OOC: Okey dokey...here we go...and don't forget to invite your friends OOC to come to our meeting...and Gemma and I are really nervous and hope this goes well.
As far as the question, remember to share your favorite story and why briefly and then something you know about the book. Now remember we are IC so that means that JK ROWLING WAS NOT THE AUTHOR...haha...

Sophia gave each student a polite nod as they addressed her and the muggle studies Professor."Good day students."
She was totally itching to have them all drop the books stand and fix themselves before starting but Gemma had jumped right in. She gripped her copy of the fairy-tales tightly in her hands. Man she really wanted to have those children fix themselves...but alas this was not exactly her class, even if Leo was a good friend of hers and probably wouldn't mind having them do that.
She would let it slip for now.
Right now she was interested in hearing what stories the children liked best. Her children's favourite was Babbity Rabbity..well at least that had been Rhea's favourite..Tyler much preferred the Deathly Hallows...but of course boys would be boys.
No thank you on the muggle sweets and other unhealthy things.

Alyssa quickly raised her hand and told everyone which was her favorite story in the book. "My favorite story is the Tale of the Three Brothers. I like it because it's a story of about the Deathly Hallows and how and why they were created."
"This story like all the other stories in the book teaches us something. In this case, that sometimes what you wish for may not always be what is good for you. I guess the stories in this book are like parables. In every story, there is a moral to be learnt."
Erin practically grew up with fairytale stories and Muggles stories; and Tales of Beedle the Bard wasn't entirely her forte and know nothing about it. Lending her ears to the other students' answers and the two Professors, Erin wrapped her body with the bean bag and helped herself with a candy. She knew she would learn a lot from this book club meeting.

And now they were starting. He reached out for another handful of gum drops and jellybeans to chew on why he waited for his turn. "My favorite is the Wizard and the Hopping Pot, it was the first story read to me as a child... and the first story I read on my own." so yes thats why its special "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot was also given the sugar coating treatment..." relating to their Muggle Studies lesson for a bit there "... by a Witch named Beatrix Bloxam, who didnt approve of the graphical aspects of the story. She altered it so much it barely resembled anything from the original tale. Plus it was lame." Yeah a few minutes of his life wasted reading that dirge.

Growing up, Beedle hadn't exactly been Emmanuelle's favorite book. She had preferred the more inspirational, more cutesy type of books and had thought the bard tales had been trying to hard to teach a lesson. Not her cup of tea at all. But she didn't want to hurt the professors' feelings by saying such things out loud. So, she just picked the first one that came to mind. "My favorite story is the Fountain of Fair Fourtune. I don't know why, but that story has always appealed to me." That didn't sound too much like she was grasping at straws, did it?!

"I liked the stories in the tale of the beadle, THE TALE OF THE THREE BROTHERS especially- I think that it is important for all of us to know that it is good to believe in ourselves, yet not to think that we are above all danger. Know one is the wisest person, no one is perfects, and although the other 2 brothers thought they were better then death after getting their gifts they were soon mistaken." Sarah said upon raising her hand.

Yaayyyyy! Another Book club meeting!! This should be good and at least this time, Nessie wasn't all sleepy. She was revived and energized, so hopefully she would be capable of paying full attention this time.
Whilst sitting on a purple bean bag of course, the red head listened carefully as the Professor began to talk. She hoped the librarian was alright, but she was sort of glad Professor Cerulean and Professor Bellaire were here to teach. It would be interesting enough even with them, right? Ness clealry thought so, she didn't really mind who was teaching, she was just happy to talk about books. The fourth year wasn't a huge book worm, but she did enjoy quite a large amount of books here and there when she had the time.
Mmm..The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Wow! Memories of childhood just came flowing in as soon as the Professor said the title. It was a book that Renesmee would remember forver, it was a special book to her with good memories and special stories.
With a smile on her face, Nessie raised her hand and a little shyly answered. "I ..I like them all, but my favorite is the one with the three witches and their problems, I think its called The Fountain of Fair Fortune." Ness then nodded, she was sure that was the name. It was rather a funny story, and the badger trully loved it.
Gemma smiled at each of the student's opinion about the stories, when there was a lull she glanced down in her lap at her version of TBB and then looked back up, "Thank you for sharing...I have to admit that my favorite story is Babbity Rabbity...it was my brother and I's favorite story when we were younger...and he would ask for my mother to read it to him every night before he went to bed..." she said with fond memories of her brother. She paused and looked up hoping that students wanted to hear what her favorite was...surely they did it was a book club and they were all going to share...right...
She shook her head up and down slightly signaling herself to move on. "Okay, so let's talk about the book and it's background a little bit. This book is actually a little bit of a mystery in the Wizarding World. We know that it was released during the 15th Century so around the 1400s, but we don't much about the author." she paused as she glanced out at each of the students. "There are rumors that Beedle the Bard may have put the book together...obviously from the name. But all that we know of him is that he helped write a book with a handful of others describing Quidditch And he wrote the original in Ancient Runes to possibly keep the stories hidden from Muggle eyes."
"However, back in the Harry Potter years, most of these tales, excluding the The Warlock's Hairy Heart were copied down by Beatrix Bloxam into a book called The Toadstool Tales. That book was quickly banned because the pictures that she included with the tales tended to induce nausea and vomiting in the children who read them." she said wrinkling up her face a little bit wondering what the images must have looked like.
She flipped to the first story and held up the opening page from her book, "Well, let's talk about the first tale in the book, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot. This tale is short, action-packed and has a very relevant moral for younger students." she said as she glanced at the first pages, ""What lessons can be learned from this tale? Did the story surprise you?" she asked the students hoping to start up a conversation between them all.
OOC: Okey dokey here we go with the first story...feel free to jump in at any time. I'll post the next story with some thought questions this afternoon. Thanks everyone for being here since I know this is the time of the summer where things get hectic in everyones' lives. *huggles you all*
The Wizard and the Hopping Pot. Oooooh! Of course Nessie remembered this one as a child how could she forget it? Her father used to read it to her, those were the days that her father actually took the time to do things with her. She remembered the pot in the story and how it would start doing all funny things, when the son of the pot owner declined offering all these people help.
It was from this that you learned a very important lesson about life. The red head raised her hand. "From this story, we learn that it is very important to help people even if we don't want to help them." The red head nodded and then smiled and crossed her legs letting the other students answer.
"That is is good to be nice to muggles" Sarah said upon raising her hand. "From what I gather this story was written when muggles were not being nice to the magical people they lived by, with witches and wizards being burnt. Many anti--muggle sentiments showed there face around this time, letting the muggles have it by not helping them. Yet their view point was wrong, as shown by the elder wizard. I have muggle grandparents and cousins and they are nice!".

Alyssa tried to recall the story and when she did, she raised her hand.
"Professors I guess it teaches us that no matter who we are, we should always help others who are in need. That when you help others, you also help yourself because it makes you feel you good that you have done so...well at least that's what I think." Alyssa shrugged her shoulders.
"It did kind of surprise me that the wizard's son would be so selfish unlike his father who wasn't. But I guess it just means that because your father is that, that you will be too. I guess the son just needed to learn his lesson before he reformed. "

Hmm.
Which story was Ronnie's favorite?
Well. Hmm....She probably liked the Wizard and the Hopping Pot the best. She cleared her throat, and raised her hand. "My favorite is the Wizard and the Hopping Pot. I like it because well, it teaches a good lesson." she said, wondering to herself if that sounded good enough. She sighed. Ronnie wasn't good at explaining things. She popped some more candy in her mouth, listening to the others talk about their favorites.

He listened to the Professor recount her favorite story and why. So it was something she shared with her brother... among other things he remembered her saying in their classes.
But now onto the first story in the book. His own favorite of course. A small grin tugged at the corner of his lips, the story didnt quite surprise him but rather "I remembered being a little scared when it was read to me the first time, my Uncle used different voices with all the sounds that came out of the Pot." He remembered those sounds. It was funny to him now but as a child tucked snugly under the covers of his bed it as plenty scary then.
And the moral of that tale? "Always treat your fellows decently, have the heart to help them whichever way you can, because one way or the other what you give forth to others will make its way back to you, whether that be kindness or cruelty."

The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, which one was that again? Oh, yeah, the one with the muggle hating son. Or was it? Emmanuelle couldn't be sure, so she just stayed slient and listened to her fellow students. And couldn't stop her eyes from rolling at one's overly explanatory explanation. Honestly, she didn't remember the professor asking for an essay!
And that's when she decided to speak up. "Basically the lesson can be summed up to being the same as the Muggle golden rule: treat others as you would like to be treated." she replied smiling slightly and placing a slight emphasis on the words 'summed up.'

"Yes good job and I think the Golden Rule that the Muggles world uses and some Wizarding families live by explains it the best, 'Do unto other as you would have others do unto you'" she said with a smile...she personally thought that was a great rule, but sometime she knew it could be a hard one to live by.
She glanced down at the book to make sure she was fixing to talk about the right story..."Okay on to the next one...The Fountain of Fair Fortune......This is many wizards' favorite tale in the book. " she looked up at a few of the students that had mentioned it. "Let's have some fun...think about the witches in the book. If we were going to put a play together and cast people to play those witches whom either staff members or students do you think would best match each character...now remember this is just for fun..."

Alyssa laughed when she heard that Professor Cerulean ask them whom they would think would best fit the parts of the witches in the story the Fountain of Fair Fortune.
She thought for awhile. One witch, Amata was sad because of a broken heart, the other, Altheda had lost all her wealth and had been humiliated and the third, Asha was stricken with an illness. She decided that she would pick the people who would be the entire opposites of who they were going to play.
So Alyssa raised her hand and gave her answer. "Professor, I would pick Professor Lafay for the part of Altheda, you, Professor Cerulean for Amata and as for Asha, Healer Tillstrom." Alyssa grinned. She started to giggle just imagining Professor Lafay acting as someone who was poor and humiliated. The fact that Professor Cerulean was beautiful and looked happy, Alyssa just wanted to see how she would portray someone who was sad. As for the Healer, acting as someone who was sick, would be hard for her, because she would want to heal herself immediately.
The professor couldn't help but smile, "Very creative Alyssa..." she said hoping that was encouraging and diplomatic at the same time. "Since we are running short on time, let's skip to the most popular and more well-known story in the book, The Tale of the Three Brothers" she opened her book to the opening page and held it up. "An interesting tidbit, there is also a Muggle story called the Three Brothers....they are very similar in different aspects, but I won't focus on that story...I just wanted to throw that in there."
"Let's think about this story. What could we say is the moral of this story?" she asked the students and then followed up with another question, "And let's think even more in depth, if you could meet the author or original storyteller of this book, what would be one question you would ask them about the story or one of the three brothers?"
OOC: Feel free to answer one or both of the questions.
