Alright, now they were going to change the colour! He mumbled the incantation to himself. Okay, showtime! Hugo held his wand above his head, concentated, tapped, and said "Ris-TAR-is!" Soon enough, his hair changed from the beautiful brunette to... Bright red. He looked in the mirror, and actually quite liked what he saw. He didn't even want to perform the counter-spell. This looked gooood.

Time for some experimenting! Kynthia thought. She always wanted to try that beautiful long wavy hair she saw on some celebrities but never managed to make her hair grow so long. And she defenitely was trying some short hairstyles too, as well as any color that came to her mind. This was going to be fun. Kynthia spend most of her time after that casting Felintas and Ristaris and trying on all kinds of different haircuts and colors.

Launna squealed as suddenly her view was framed by bright pink curls trailing either side of her face. She ducked sideways so she could see the mirror and immediately doubled over laughing. 'That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen!'

Launna had to have her revenge. 'Ristaro!' she cried, aiming and tapping her wand on Penny's head, concentrating on a lurid green colour. But, instead, Penny's hair went a deep shade of midnight blue and started fizzing as though with some unseen electrical force. That spell needs practise, she thought to herself frustratedly. Still, no one can deny it looks pretty cool.

Stood by herself in the corner of the room, her back towards the class, MJ muttered the incantation. "Felintas - that's length and style, right, try!" Long blonde ringlets? Eww! "Intaris - that's the counter-spell... I hope!" MJ's auburn ponytail came back. "I swear it still looks lighter..." She frowned. "Err, Ristaris!" Auburn became hot pink - now that was nice! "Felintas," Hot pink afro - neat! "Intaris!" Back to normal. MJ sighed. "Ristaris!" The ponytail turned green this time. Well at least she matched her face! Some more deep breathing exercises and she was ready to practice some more. It was taking her mind off the queasiness anyway.

Minnie looked at Justin and smiled. "That looks great on you! I'm going to try some high lights myself."

Minerva thought about what the professor said about changing just part of the hair. "I'm going to try" she said to herself. She closed her eyes and pictured what she wanted. "Ritaris" Minerva looked in the mirror her hair was still all purple. "Hmmm" So she did it again and still nothing. "Professor you said that concentration is key in this class as well as charms. Are some people just better at one or the other or do both classes have the same ability?" Not getting this spell as easy as the last frustrated her and made her think of how hard the other classes were with spells. "Maybe it was beginners luck." She mumbled to herself.

Taking notes of the next set of spells Professor Magnus had instructed them to use, Auggie looked at his notebook to avoid making eye contact with the angry woman. He hadn't moved on like he wasn't supposed to, but he still didn't want to be pulled into the mess. Instead he just fluffed up his now curly afro of hair until they were permitted to move on.

And they were off! Auggie pulled his wand out and pointed it at his new hair style and thought of the color he wanted. "Ris-TAR-is!" and when he opened his eyes, his afro of hair was now a dark orange color. The Gryffindor grinned proudly at his altered clown reflection in the mirror.

"That looks good, lemme try it. Ris-TAR-is!" tapping his head, Harvey now had blue hair, he concentrated hard on a streak.

"Ris-TAR-is!" tapping his head, he looked in the mirror and saw there was no streak. He concentrated harder.

"Ris-TAR-is!" tapping his head, He looked in the mirror but again no streak. He concentrated as hard as he could.

"Ris-TAR-is!" tapping his head, He opened his eyes and looked in the mirror and saw a yellow streak in his blue hair. He liked it, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff colors together, Harvey and Minnie together.

" Thanks, Minnie. I think I might keep it this way for a while.Do you want me to give it a go for you? " asked Justin.
" That looks so cool. It's the perfect 'marriage' of colours." Justin giggled. " No, really, it looks really awesome." he said reassuringly.

Harvey laughed and looked at Minnie, he had done it for her. Both of their houses' colors on his head, but it was slightly curly and he wanted it straight.

"Felintas" Harry concentrated hard on straight hair. He looked in the mirror and sure enough he had straight blue hair with two yellow streaks in his hair 1 on either side of his forehead.

"I am going to keep this style!!" He looked at Minnie and smiled.

"We'll find some stuffing." Charner gave a definite nod of her head. No way she would let her partner wander around all...lumpy.

Cracking her fingers, she withdrew her wand and tapped it against her own head in thought. "Maybe best we do our own hair. And if we get really stuck and can't get the exact look we want, or end up misfiring and changing someone else's hair color," heh that would be sooo amusing and her expression clearly showed it, "then we could help each other out."

Cause truth be told, she knew exactly what she wanted. With a mischevious grin, she pressed her eyes closed and concentrated hard. Very very hard. Then it was a tap and ...."FELINTAS!"

The strange thing was she could feel her hair changing, growing. It grew and grew and grew and stiffened. With a grin, Charner let her eyes snap open and turn up in her head to try and get a glimpse.

And then she nearly dropped her wand.

While she had been intending her hair to be spiked in all directions, and just a little bit longer, she hadn't intended it to be SO long. As it was her hair had grown up on her head in sharp, jagged spikes that were as long as her arm!!! If she stood up she would be on the way to touching the ceiling!!!

Startled and slightly horrified, she looked back to her partner. "I.....must have gotten over excited about it." Cause it was the style she wanted, it was just....really, really long. But given they were so far behind, it would have to do.

"Uhm...." Slow movements lest the weight of her new hair caused her head to fall off one way or another or poked someone's eye out. "You wanna try your hair now?" Because she really needed a moment to think about the color so it wouldn't blind everyone in the room if it went wrong.

Lola squeezed the boy's cheeks, wondering if his beautiful make-up transformation made him smile. Because a smile was all she needed--out of the horrible and terrible things that happened in this world! To know that she did good... to know that she changed a life to the better... with the power of make-up and Transfiguration, that too was a long-life dream that she craved for. Deep in thought, she suddenly twitched in surprise when of course, the boy spoke again.

Romulan???

LE GASPPPPPPP.

"Your name sounds so SHAKESPEARE, darling," she started, looking as if she was about to faint, "I'll call you Lil Romeo, alright? ALRIGHT! MY ROMEO... make me beaaaautiful." With that said, she immediately stood still, like a statue.

When the boy was done, she looked at herself. UGH. GORGEOUS. "I am a skeleton. A victim of love! LOLA IS NO MORE~! Call me Ellis," she insisted, "Don't call me Lola. Don't." An entirely new person sprouted out from her face-paint and like a robot, she mechanically looked at him, ready for the next spell.

She grabbed out her wand for the next spell and tapped once on his head. "Felintas!" Immediately, Romeo's hair transformed into a rather wild and strange afro. "You're such a pretty clown, now..."

Out of instinct, she dug her hand into his afro. "Amazing."

Salima took out her wand Ok Salima the colour we are aimng for now is purple...don't be nervous...stop shaking.
She raised her wand and pointed it to her head "RISTARIS" she said as she tapped the top of her head. Her hair turned into a colour between blue and purple also her eyes turned a shade of pink 'Close enough' she muttered to herself.

Kurumi held the mirror in her hands and look at her reflection. She probably shouldn't be so proud of herself for being able to manipulate her features like she had done right now, especially since she was supposed to be performing the spells. But...she just couldn't help it. This was a pivotal moment in the fourth year's life.

Kurumi nearly jumped out of her skin when Professor Magnus seemingly apparated beside her. Kurumi knew this to be impossible because no one could apparate within Hogwarts, unless you wanted to count the house elves, but they were using their own kind of magic.

Kurumi nodded her head...then shook it...and pretty much looked like she was rolling her head around in a circle.

Kurumi pointed to her short pixie cut and smiled nervously. "I got it to change," she said with a weak smile. Not entirely lying, but the little angel on her shoulder was pulling on her ear and poking her cheek.

"P-P-Professor...you know that conversation? I...I was wondering if perhaps we could have it soon?" And then she would confess that she had been cheating during Transfiguration. Some role model she was turning out to be.

Isabelle turned on the spot when she heard her name being called. Greeted by an arm waving child, she smiled. "Well done, that is a very....bright blue." Extremely bright. Almost glowing.

Don't get on. Hmm. He didn't look like a first year, a bit older maybe. So his wand wouldn't be new unless he's broken his previous one. But as long as he practised the spells Issy wasn't going to question why. "I see," was all she said.

Nodding her head, she marched off into the mini store cupboard at the back of the room. Rummaging around in a few boxes a sudden "Aha!" could be heard, before Isabelle came walking back out clutching a Muggle Barbie doll - all flowing blonde hair. Tapping it with her wand the thing grew a few inches and she placed it on the boy's desk. "Here we go. That should be all right for you."

My, my dear, your Slytherin is showing. And it was seriously worrying her why the girl wanted to know this sort of thing. It was like she suddenly had a beacon over her saying TROUBLE. What had she started with this lesson?!

"I could, but I'm not sure I should. Care to tell me what you wish to use it for first?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Yeah, despite appearances kids, Issy wasn't stupid.

"Very nice! Keep going," Issy smiled and gave the girl a thumbs up. They were all doing quite well, truth be told.

"Do you mean do they require the same amount of concentration? Well yes, they do really. The two subjects tend to have more complex spell work, so making sure you are fully in control of it, and your mind, is a must." So many good questions.

Oh dear. Issy hadn't meant to scare Kurumi, but it appeared that she had. Placing a hand on her back she grinned by way of an apology. But it didn't seem to quell the girl's nerves. What on earth was wrong with her? She knew that the Gryffindor could be wary of melting things sometimes, but never as nervous as this.

Frowning with concern, Isabelle looked over the hair and nodded. It was different, yes. But something was telling her it wasn't all down to the spells. "We can have it whenever you like. I have time after this lesson, shall we go out onto the grounds? It's quieter. In some places." And she was quite eager to hear what Kurumi had to say and ask her.

Having set a time with Kurumi for their meeting, Issy turned her attention back to the lesson.

"Okay everyone, I'll give you a few more minutes to have some fun with your hair, then I'll wrap up the lesson." Isabelle smiled at them all and went to sit in her seat. They seemed to be getting along with it better now, appearances and vanity had taken a back seat for most.

" Okay, Professor. " Said Justin as he turned to his friends and continued practicing the spells that were covered during today's lesson.

Penny was nervous, sure that Launna would do something wicked, because she, Penny, had turned Launna's hair a curly bubblegum pink..... Closing her eyes she waited for the axe to fall...so to speak

Hearing Launna do the spell, Penny opened her eyes and pulled her compact mirror out of her back pack -

Penny nearly had heart failure, then immediately burst out laughing... Her hair was the most ridiculous colour of blue and it was literally standing on end - Penny had the idea that she could almost pass as a mad scientist...

When she finally stopped laughing, she looked at Launna, tears still streaming from her laughing eyes..
"OK how about we fix these heads"... focusing her thoughts on fixing Launna's hair she tapped her wand twice on Launna's head said "INTARIS", and thankfully it went back to it's old style and colour..

Ashley looked up with surprise, having been a little lost in his thoughts. With a small smile, he nodded, deciding against saying anything about his little problems for now. They weren't that big a deal, and he could get over them. He just needed to concentrate. No need to bother the professor about it.
"Oh, sorry. I was just trying to decide on a colour," he said, sort of grabbing at his wand again, as if to say that he would definitely be getting to work in just a second.

And as soon as he was left alone, he did just that, with the head-tapping and everything. At least if it looked like he was trying his best, perhaps there wouldn't be any problems. At any rate, he was going to be a blond in a moment. Hey, clowns didn't always have a super crazy colouring, did they? Or maybe they did. But he liked the blond.

Josephine gaped at her, had she just gave her a thumbs up?! This was her favorite teacher ever! "Thank you!" she said, before turning her hair indigo and in a pixie-bob.

Selina started to play with her now blonde curls as he spoke. It felt weird having hair like this. Every once and a while Selina would curl her hair, but the color was not something she was not accustomed to. She loved her red hair and having something else besides the red color made her uncomfortable. The same went for Gideon's hair. She liked his untamable dark curls. They fit him. The straight, red hair was not terrible- just not Gideon. "Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of it either. But hey once class is over we can change back to our other hair. I like your other hair better anyway."

Then she heard that the lesson was wrapping up and she said, "I don't know, maybe we should change into the clown costumes now?"

Alyssa looked over when she heard Penny laughing. She saw her and another student and realized immediately what they were laughing about. The other student had hair the color of pink bubble gum and Penny had hair the color of the most outrageous blue. Alyssa started laughing and was disappointed when Penny changed the color.

"Penny, you should have kept that color. It's so crazy but at the same time, that color is what a clown would have." she grinned at Penny. Like this "Ris-Ta-ris" and Alyssa hair color changed to the same outrageous blue color as Penny's.

Kurumi nodded her head. The sooner the better, right? No sense in avoiding the subject. Kurumi thought for a moment about where they could meet. Being outside and away from the castle would probably be a good thing and give her a chance for a, literal, breath of fresh air. Most of the Hogwarts grounds were pretty crowded, but the Black Lake was vast enough that she was sure they could find a quiet spot somewhere. "Thank you, professor, I really appreciate it," she said with another small nod. "Would...somewhere around the lake be alright?"

Em just stood there, biting her lower lip. For some reason, these spells made her a bit nervous. She really liked her hair, and didn't want to mess it up. Plus, she was sure she would get in trouble if her parents saw her with hair that was any color besides her natural red. WIth a frown and a small shoulder shrug, she decided to get to work. "Felintas, Felintas" she muttered to herself several time until she was comfortable saying the incantation. And then tap, tap, tap went her wand on her head.

After a few moments she decided she was ready to attempt the spell, so she thought of a hair style. Since her hair was usually pretty straight, the puff decided to go with girly curly hair. Closing her eyes tight, she concentrated on curls, gave her head a hard tap as she said "Felintas" opening her eyes, she rubbed the spot on her head that she had tapped. It had been way too rough of a tap. Grabbing a mirror, she gasped when she saw her hair. Instead of the soft curls she had been thinking of, a frizzy mess topped her head. Giving her head two much softer taps, she said "Intaris" and her hair went back to normal. LEtting out a sigh of relief, she felt more determined than ever to get the spell right. Thinking again about the curls, She tapped her head lightly while saying the incantation. The girl grinned when she looked in the mirror. The curls were exactly what she had imagined.

Now, on to the color. This she was still incredibly apprehensive about. What if she didn't get her natural color back? Would it stay the color forever? Trying not to think of that, she practiced the incantation for changing the color. "Ristaris, Ristaris",she said again and again, getting the feel of the work. When she was finally ready, she though of her favorite color. Deciding of the proper hue, she closed her eyes and tapped, as she said "Ristaris" quickly checking the mirror, she smiled. Her hair was a curly jade green.

Seeing her success made her wonder about what else she could do with the spell. Could you do something that you would usually have to visit a hairdresser for? "Um, Professor Magnus," she said "Is it possible to only color a portion of the hair? Like do hi-lights, or like a inch wide strip. And does the color have to start at the roots, or could you do something like make a two inch band of color at the ends of the hair?" Because if that were possible, that would be so awesome, even if her hair did stay this green color forever.

A few more minutes to have fun with their hair?

Well, if professor Magnus said so... Nora tapped her head once again, and muttered "Ristaris." She held up the mirror to see her new hair, which was still long and curly, and... electric blue.

... her hair was blue.

Fun enough?

As for the length and style... no, she wasn't risking that. If something went wrong, she could live with blue hair. For a while.

Class was almost over, and Desiree wanted to try one last thing before they left. Looking in the mirror she wanted something.. bigger. Her crimped hair was nice but she wanted something more clownish. She began to tap her head "Felintas" "Felintas" "Felintas" until she felt it was big enough. She giggled a little at how ridiculous it looked especially still a bright blue.

It was almost the end of class so she decided to make it her regular blonde again. "Intaris" she said, looking in the mirror she frowned just a light blue. She was not being stuck with blue hair. She tried again "Intaris!" there. Perfect.

Hmm, ...okay. Seeing as she only had a few more minutes to try and get more house points experiment with her hair, Sierra decided she better get a move on. At least class seemed to be ending soon. She hated the clown clothes, hated the clown make-up, and even hated the hair she was currently raising her wand to change.

She tapped it once on top of her head and said, "Ris-TAR-is!" With her mind on a certain shade of blue--sky blue, to be exact--she waited a few seconds for the change to hopefully take effect. She reached for her mirror and peered into it, pleased to see that she'd at least done the spell correctly. She tapped her wand another two times, pictured her normal shade of brown hair, and then said, "Intaris!"

She picked up her mirror, and...

...blue?! ...but she... Almost in a state of panic, she tap, tapped her wand again and then stressed, "Intaris!" Blue. Why was her hair still blue?! It'd change back, right? ...right?!
