Danielle went to search for her costume, she found a really cute clown dress , now she needed to found a partner to help her with her make-up and with the charms. Just then she saw a girl doing her own make-up, She walked towards her with a smile and patted her shoulder gently "would you like to be my partner?" Danielle said happily, she liked the idea of dressing up as a clawn, maybe she would even get the opportunity to perform as one! "let me help you to finish your make-up, don't worry i'm pretty good at this, i've done make-ups since i was little!"

Nika had been staring at her professor the whole lesson. When the first question was asked Nika honestly had no idea how to answer it. Can't all wizards change their appearance like that? CAn't you do that if you're magical? Or does magic have it's bounds too? Well this is why she should do some extra reading over the summer. Only she finds TV to distract her so that's out of the question.

Two spells? Well that shouldn't be too bad... Hopefully. So Nika continued to stare and then began to take some more notes as well. This way she could practice on her own incase she can't master the spells during the lesson because that always ends up being the case.

After some students had raised their hands to give the meaning of the spells Nika listened to Professor Magnus for her confirmation that their answers were indeed correct. She quickly began to copy what was on the board and VOALA! her notes were just about finished. She even added a nice border of doodles to go around them.

OOOH! They are going to become clowns! Well this sounds like a fun lesson! YAY! Nika jumped up and looked around the classroom. Well she'd need a partner. Who to pick? Hmm...

But it seems as if everyone already has partners so maybe Nika will just stick to doing her own make up for now. She walked up and grabbed a costume, mirror, and paint then went straight to work!

Recognizing the Hufflepuff girl from her own common room Minerva went over. "Alyssa isn't it? I like your hair you did a great job."
Minerva went and got a mirror. She looked into it she studied her blonde hair that was poker straight and hit her shoulders. She raised her wand and said "Fel-in-tas" Minerva was excited to see her hair get very curly.

Kurumi nodded slowly, deciding not to speak on the matter. She simply bowed and returned to her seat.
Still frowning something fierce, Kurumi almost didn't hear the small voice of a first year say hello. Kurumi slowly turned her head, and hoped that her expression wasn't too dark for the situation, and smiled at the girl. "Sure," she nodded glancing around the classroom and spotting Eino looking ridiculously uncomfortable with the whole task at hand. Judging from the girl's robes, she was in Ravenclaw as well, so perhaps she could turn this into an opportunity for the girl to meet some more people from her house?

But before she could speak to Eino, Professor Magnus spoke to the entire class.





Kurumi sat and listened as Professor Magnus spoke, writing notes here and there. She didn't really WANT to change her hair or eye color...it was something that happened all the time and not of her own accord. Kurumi suddenly felt like she was the dragon in the room, the one that everyone was looking at, and she wanted to just blend right into the chair she was sitting in.

Forgetting all about face painting and being partners with the Ravenclaw girl, Kurumi merely picked up a mirror and looked at her reflection. Her violet eyes appeared empty and it was a wonder that her hair wasn't doing something by now. All the anxiety and fear revolving around what she was came flooding back. The bullying. The questions. The lies.

Kurumi began chewing on her bottom lip in earnest while she fumbled with her wand. She ought to try and practice the spell...but her heart just wasn't in it at the moment. She peeks out of the corner of her eye and saw...
EINO!

Merlin he was always good and helping her take her mind of things. Perhaps it was his seemingly endless imagination that did the trick. No matter what is was, Kurumi could certainly use a dose of her best friend - especially since she hadn't spoken to him at all this term.

"Eino...you missed a spot," Kurumi laughed as she picked up some of the white face paint and began applying it to his cheek. The white face paint and his essentially white hair brought a stark contrast with his dark eyes. It was almost angelic.

Hmm. She was taking it without too much fuss. Honestly, Ryden had expected at least a groan and a snappy retort. But perhaps she was just as desperate as she was to get this over with. Who knew one day the blonde would find something that both she and Louisa agreed upon?

This was certainly an eventful day.

RIGHT. Felintas. Well, it wasn't hard for Ryden to figure out which hairstyle she wanted back. Erasing all thoughts of the way her face looked and concentrating on how she'd looked before Bridget had come and ruined her hair, Ryden closed her eyes and pulled out her wand. "Felintas!" Ryden cast, tapping her head once and grined as she felt it tickle her chin.

Her brown hair was back! Her normal, long, sle- WHAT? Looking down with horror, the fifth year stared aghast at the PINK lock of hair in her hands before hastily grabbing a mirror. OH GOSH WHY WAS HER HAIR PINK??!?!?! "FELINTAS!" she cast again, tapping once more, concentrating HARD on the pretty BROWN hair she used to have and hesitantly reached for the mirror.

HA. THERE. Wasn't she awesome? "Merlin I've missed this hair," she commented, IGNORING the horror that was her face and instead focusing on her hair.

Ivory had not looked up once since that first question had been asked. No, she had been much too busy not looking up and nodding and writing notes. Writing great detailed, extensive, elaborate notes that did not require one to look up as the topic took a personal note, at least for her. A personal note she'd worked hard to keep under wraps, hidden from public scrutiny.

Her breath escaped in a huge release as the lecture moved on to spells and face paint and clowns. All much more safer topics. Topics she could safely look up without the stricken look in her eyes giving her away.

Lashes casting long shadows against her cheeks, the female prefect followed everyone's lead to the front strategically averting her iridescent eyes. Like there, was that a floating dust mite?!

Her fingertips worrying her charm bracelet as she waited for her turn to pick up her equipment, she glanced up quite suddenly as a voice in front of her seemed to echo her thoughts. Blinking owlishly, Ivory couldn't resist the urge to eavesdrop ever so slightly as she herself picked up the needed face paint and attire. The question sounded too...too direct to be asked nonchalantly. Could it be that-

Pushing her thoughts to the back of her mind, she concentrated on the work at hand. With easy movements, Ivory slid on the garment and used one of the provided mirrors to paint her own face complete with a star shape over one eye and a moon on her cheek, enough paint to camouflage her expression, to hide it effectively. To be safe.

Listening the instructions, Ivory began to murmur the spells under her breath to get the pronounciation right maybe then after stalling with practicing the wand movements she'd try the spells out.

He began to protest about getting pink-ified but ugh, too late. She already started to slather his face with paint. The little giggle she let out scared him a bit. Being painted as a clown was funny enough on it's own, he didn't want her to go all out and beyond.

The motion of the painting brush on his face tickled him and a chuckle escaped his lips. "You're applying a hell of a lot of paint." Ezra remarked, gripping the edge of his bench.

And ew. A small amount of the gooey paint sneaked in his mouth and he accidentally swallowed it. "I got pa--" He started but then she slapped some more paint, then more and more and MORE! "Are you done?!" And right when he asked her, she announced the completion of her face painting job. "I WANT A MIRROR!" He yelped, opening his eyes to tiny stars dancing before his eyes which soon faded. "How do I look, Princess?" Handsome, of course. Nobody would've ever set their eyes on a clown as handsome as Prince Ezra.

Now time for more fun.

"Please take a seat." Motioning her to sit, he tucked a paint brush behind his ear to get that artistic vibe and then proceeded with his task at hand. For a good five minutes or so, he studied her face from every angle possible. To kick things off, he drew a large, red circle around her nose followed by a generous amount of red paint on both her cheeks to give her that perfect clownish blush. Using a combination of white and black, he nicely decorated her eyebrow area and threw in some pretty eyelashes for the girl look. A heart shaped lipstick and a ring of white paint around her mouth topped off her look. "And we're done!" He said, clapping his hands together in appreciation of the masterpiece of their era. "Aww, you look so cute I could eat you up." He commented in a babyish tone.s

Bahahaha. Now that would be some place to be! A whole classroom filled with clowns! Kynthia was almost laughing out loud on her own as she did her make-up, already in her clown costume. After the Proffessor's directions she proceeded to try and do her hair as well.

I just have to imagine myself with that hair? she thought to herself. She was kind of worried she'd get embarassed. She was afraid her imagination run wild to topics that had nothing to do with clown hair. She could end up with cat ears for all she knew! Taking a deep breath and try not to think about cat ears, she concentrated on her hair's reflection on the hand-held mirror she was holding and muttered the incantation.
"Felintas."
Slowly she saw her hair curl and shorten until it resembled the Proffessor's hair. Well not quite. It was her first time casting it after all. It would take time to reach that kind of skill. Happy with herself, she let the mirror on her desk and while she waited for everyone to finish, took her quill and started adding on her notes.

Louisa watched Ryden change her hair to... pink? She giggled, rather forced one since her outer look didn't encourage a genuine giggle, and then saw her change that to... brown. Hmmm. Now that was the true Ryden. "So, you really changed your hair. I thought you looked... odd." Different or prettier was the true adjective but let's not get carried away with this seaweed-handworker.

Louisa's hair wasn't any better than the pink one Ryden did though, a ball of black wool looked really out of placed with her face painting - not to mention the costume. But who cared, right? Joao wasn't here in the front of the class playing dress-up.

Moving on. Louisa closed her eyes, pictured her pretty WAVY long hair and said, "Intaris." Tap and..

BOOM!

Louisa's fizzy ball grew larger. The girl had felt it even without a mirror! She touched it and could sink her hand into the thing! Like.. reeeally sink. HOLYMERLINSPANTS! "Gosh! What did I do wrong? What?" She was freaking out, this kind of silly mistakes were so not welcome in this silly class. Looking at the board, she noticed the two taps she should've given her head. Quickly and concentrating REAL hard on her original hair she almost shouted, "Intaris." TAP, TAP.

Poof.

Her hair was back to normal and the end of the world was delayed once again, today. She'd sat on the desk OVER the evil mirror and sighed in relief. The face painting and the costume were not as horrible as that double wool ball.

"Aww, it looks so good, Thank you so much. This class is turning out to be really fun. I wonder what's next?" She said looking around. Turning back to Alyssa she said, "What color are you going to change your hair to? I think I'd like mine blue."

Eino flinched when he heard his name. The last thing he wanted to happen was for someone to recognize him. Oh, it was Kurumi. Not too bad since she was a close friend. She was right, maybe he should have paint his face all red. Still, he didn't find it very funny and as she proceeded to add more paint to his face he just stared at her. No words, no blinking, no expressions, nothing. However, if his eyes could speak they would be saying: Avada Kedavra. She was having too much fun with this, and his face.

Carter hurried over and grabbed a set of face paint before returning to his seat. Destiny was already there waiting. "I'm supposed to wear this?" he asked poking the costume with his wand. At least it was red. He waved his wand and was now wearing the ugly red clown suit. Now he was glad to be partnering with Destiny. She was sure to make him unrecognizable. He wanted to not look like himself as soon as possible.

He set the paints on his desk and leaned toward Destiny. "Okay. Give me your face." he instructed her. He wanted to paint a sheep on it.

A sheep saying "Baaaah!"

Because that's what sheeps say.

"I think that I'm going to make mine purplish pink. Have you picked up your mirror and tried playing with the length of your hair yet. It's really fun. I've tried all kinds of style before I settled with this one. Do you like it?" Alyssa showed off her new hairstyle which was short in the front tapering to long at the back. "I'm trying for a tapered clownish look," Alyssa winked at Jesifur.

"Let me know if you need help with changing your hair. I think for now we're only supposed to change our lengths. The color comes later."

"Thanks, Minerva. I like it too. Who knows I may actually keep it, although I'm sure my Mom would have a fit," she laughed. "Hey I like the way you did your hair. It's so nice and curly. Are you going to stay with that one, or are you going to keep trying other styles too. Let me know if you need any help," Alyssa offered.

William listened to the prifessor.William called out Felintas, concentrated and tapped his head once with his wand. William now has short black hair. William called out Intanis,, concentrated on what his hair looked like, tapped his head twice with his wand. "Willaim now has long red hair down the middle of his back.

Merlin, the Prince sure was fidgety! "Oh hush," Tori had to tell him multiple times as he squirmed on the seat and got as tense as if she was giving him a shot or something. Geez.

She started laughing the moment his clown face demanded a mirror. "Here," Tori giggled, fishing one out of her purse for him. "You look SUUUUUUPER handsome, Prince," she assured him, "though kind of like... this real famous clown, though I can't remember where I saw him...."

Huh. Anyway. Next thing she knew, it was Tori's turn. She closed her eyes and remained perfectly still, like the perfect subject in contrast to fidgety!Ezra.

Tori wasn't sure what to think, though, when the Prince announced that she was finished in that weird, mothery tone that she only ever heard Lola use. "Ummmkaaaaaay," she drawled slowly, making grabby hands for the mirror. "Lemme see!!!!"

Clowns?

Did he just hear that one correctly? The Professor wants them to change into something silly? And great, to make matters excellent he bought costumes as well.

Jonathan knows how to paint but painting peoples faces is new to him. He didn't even agree to paint his face during the summer in the carnival. He just starred and looked at the other students get there faces dirty or whatever. And right now, Jonathan didn't expect for this to happen.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE though, he did change the color of his hair. That's why it's blonde when he came back to Hogwarts. Jonathan smiled as the professor taught them a spell to change hair colors. That means, he could change his hair back to the way it is. Beams.

He stood up and took some face paints as the Professor had suggested and now all he needs is a partner. Sighs. He looked at the classroom. Partner... Partner... Partner... He needs a partner...

Oh dear...maybe she shouldn't have said anything. Eino looked even more uncomfortable now that she had come over to him. "Maybe you will feel more better if your face was more reflective of your house?" she suggested as she finished repainting his face entirely white. She then grabbed some gold and began to paint his nose with it. It didn't exactly look like a beak, but it was the best she could manage for the time being. After all, this was a class to practice spells and not face paint.

Her hands found the blue and she began to apply that, taking extra time around his forehead and blending it in here and there to try create a nice shading effect. Now...for one last final touch. She applied a bit to his lips and then spent a good 5 minutes or so on his right cheek.

"All done," she smiled as she handed him a mirror.

Clowns? Merlin this class was going good by far. Nikolas didn't fancy the idea of painting his handsome face, but who cares? After all he wasn't the only one doing it.

Grabbing the face-paint and a clown costume, he looked for apartner. Too bad there was no one he knew. Pity. But someone's voice caught his attention, a girl was asking if anyone wanted to be painted. Hmm, why not? He walked towards the girl and said "Well, what about me?" he asked. Nikolas hadn't seen her before "Let's see your artwork on my face" he chuckled "I'm Nikolas by the way" he told the girl while he put the clown costume over his clothes "This clothes are pretty, don't you think?" he said sarcastically.

Looking at the paint kit, the Slytherin started at it, thinking of which colors to use for a honey bee. That's what Marilyn wanted right? Oh the Slytherin was so lucky to have Evelyn's artistic skills for the painting part! At least a honey bee won't turn out to look like a dog.

After Marilyn read the back, which was making Evelyn wonder just what was written on there anyways, she took the 'paints' and looked towards her partner. Smirk. "That would actually be really nice." she grinned, resisting the urge to glance over to her boyfriend. He was still there, right?

Now...with the painting...

"Honey bees, honey bees..." she muttered, picking out the black, yellow, and white paints. The Professor wouldn't give them anything that would be permanent or do weird stuff to their skin, right? She trusted Professor Magnus. "Alright, hold still." DON'TMOVE!

Hmm, a few small bees around the eyes....maybe two larger ones on her cheek. One on her nose. She would've gone on and made Marilyn's lips black and yellow striped but, she figured they were running out of time. "Done!" TADA! Not that Marilyn could see Evelyn's work. Yet.

Desiree had been listening to everything the Professor said, she had been quiet for the first two questions as everyone else had answered before her. She scribbled in her notes metamorphagus.. and the two spells to change appearance..

She looked up when the Professor mentioned CLOWNS! Now Desiree knew why she had been so excited for this class. She tried the spell a couple times before succeeding in changing her hair a bright aqua, and ran up to get some face paints. She even put on the silly outfit. Smiling like the little girl she was. It faded, she didn't have a partner, well that wouldn't do.

Then she saw... this guy. Well, he was a slytherin, but older and intimidating.. oh well. She approached him somewhat cautiously and smiled "Hey there, do you need a partner?" she then realized he probably didn't want an eleven year old painting his face, but it was too late now.

Nika looked around the classroom really not wanting to do her own clown makeup. It honestly wouldn't be as much fun as doing someone else's. So she continued searching for someone who looked like they wanted a partner. AHA! There's a tall Slytherin standing up just looking about. Maybe he needs a partner?

Nika walked up to him and realized that she recognized him. Oh. This was the same boy she had bumped into that one time last term. Well that was actually really embarrassing. "Hi," She said smiling sheepishly. The thoughts of bumping into him were back to haunt her. That had been real embarrassing on her part. "Erm... Jonathan right?" She asked hopefully. If his name wasn't Jonathan that would be even more embarrassing. "So would you like to partner up for this face painting thing?"

Carter.. he really needed to lighten up and stop being a party pooper! Destiny was almost regretting wanting to be his partner for this. But then she remembered she was going to be able to draw on his face, and she didn't feel that regret anymore. She even knew what he was going to look like. "Yes, you do have to wear it." Not only was Carter a party pooper, he was lazy! Using magic to dress himself. Scoffing, she stood up and put the costume on over her uniform before sitting back down.

She already looked awesome, and as long as Carter knew how to draw a sheep, she'd look TWICE as awesome.

Scooting her chair closer, she leaned closer to him and closed her eyes, ignoring what he said about giving him her face. That was not even possible. "Have you ever drawn a sheep before?" It had to be perfect!

"Well I don't know. I like it, I have never had curly hair before but I am loving changing it so I might just try some other styles. I would like to try some colors as well. This is fun!" Minerva was having fun with this. She got it on the first try which hadn't happened yet with magic.

Oh. Heh. Right. She should have known. Then again, you could never be too sure. Plus, what would happen if she got the spell WRONG? How HORRIBLE would that be? She blushed a bit before nodding her head. "Right," thank Merlin.

With a grin upon her face, Brooklyn wandered the room, paint kit in one hand, while the other held a pain brush. She was looking for a first victim partner. But of course, she wasn't quite sure she'd let them do her own make-up.

EEEEEEEE! Lookie! Ickle first year! How CUTE. From the opposite side of the room, she waved at him, before of course actually heading toward him. "Hi there!" she grinned. "Do you have a partner yet?" Because she wanted to paint his face. She was still uncertain as to whether or not she'd let him paint her face. Probably not.

WHOA. Was this a line forming before her? Now she had two victims boys to paint on. How COOL. "I don't see why not." She grinned at him. She was a sports player. Let's see just how good her art skills were, shall we? "I wouldn't necessarily call it artwork, i'm certainly not an artist, but shapes are easy." She dipped her brush into the white but paused before putting any on the boy's face. This was.. somewhat awkward. Painting on some kid you'd never met before. Eh, whatever. She started painting his entire face white. "I'm Brooklyn. Nice to meet you," She replied, still concentrating on her painting.

Arya had her costume slung over her shoulder, and was looking for a partner. Only she wasn't. Did she really want someone else painting her face? What if they did a terrible job? Meh. After a while of searching, she decided she didn't care. Glancing to her side, she spotted Destiny about to get her face painted.

Heh. This could be fun.

"I can paint a sheep on one side, and you can do the other." Or a Chicken. She'd paint a chicken on one side, while Carter painted sheep on the other. Same difference. The prefect made no hesitation as she pulled up her chair beside Carter and facing Destiny, the free side of her face. The girl got a sneaky glare, but Carter got a small smile. "Mind having two partners?"
