The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Harvey walked into the Great Hall for the End of Term Feast. This made him realise more than ever before that his first year here at Hogwarts was over faster than you could say Banana Peel or something he didnt really care. All he cared about was missing his friends over the summer, sure they would meet each other over the holidays but it JUST wasnt the same as hanging out here in school. One of his friends was going to out of the country half the time. He then reached his table and sat down, he looked at the Hufflepuff table and saw Minnie was sitting there. He was going to miss her alot! She had been his first friend, girlfriend and best friend in this school, how could he NOT miss her.
Her blood pressure was slowing down and going up every two minutes. Even after staying two long hours at the common room hesitant about coming down to the Great Hall or not, she couldn't leave Hogwarts and her friends without coming to the feast, right?
Marie gulped, slowly moving herself towards the Ravenclaw table, where only a few students had shown up. The rest of the school was slowly coming in and gathering at their tables, excited about summer, and some saying their goodbye to Hogwarts.
It was...different.

Walking into the Great Hall for the end-of-term feast, Stella felt like she should feel differently. Exams were over, and she'd gotten through finals as well. All that stood between herself and the summer, including her plans with Matt, was the feast and the train ride back to London. She was having a hard time not being influenced by the mood of the room, though. The excitement of the Slytherins, as she'd glanced at that table when she'd arrived to see if Matt was there yet, the seventh years sad that they were graduating... She found herself not really sure what she felt. At least she'd survived Potions class, and not failed it miserably.
Arriving at the Ravenclaw table, she sat next to another girl, who seemed a bit depressed. She didn't look like a seventh year, but maybe other things were going on. She remembered the people who had tried to help her during the aftermath of the hate potion, so she wanted to help now. "Are you alright?," she asked. It was a start.

Jayden entered the Great Hall, taking a seat and taking special care to save a spot for Cael when he finally would make his way down.
Was it really the end of her first year already? It felt as if they had just gotten there.
A lump formed in her throat and tears began forming in her eyes as she thought of all of the good times that had been had there. Jayden hated goodbyes.
"Well guys, we made it we survived our first year!" She said with a smile after wiping away the stray tear that had made it down her cheek. It had been a wonderful year.
"Does anyone know when the food will be coming?" She whined.

Jez bit her lip as she walked into the Great Hall and to the Ravenclaw table. She'd promised herself she wasn't going to cry. Crying was for old grannies, and little kids, and mothers at weddings, and leaving seventh-years ... and her, if she'd let herself. So she was trying her best not to.
The truth was, Jez was scared to leave the safety of Hogwarts. Her family's murderers were out there, and her brother and sister were still in hiding. She had no home to go to. Not true, thought Jez. I'm going to Nate's place for the summer. She couldn't help a rush of pleasure at that. She, Nate and Pam would have a lot of fun this summer - they could show her all the Muggle things she'd missed out on as a kid, because of her parents' aversion to Muggles. Time to rectify that.
Jez sat down near Harvey and Jayden. "Hey!" she said to both of them, smiling, then looked puzzled. "Jayden, are you okay?"

"I'm alright." Jayden answered Jezabel softly, tears starting to well up in her eyes again.
"Merlin's pants! I feel like such a wimp, crying at the end of the year feast! I told myself I wasn't going to.. but... here I am!" She wailed. "I'm going to miss you all so much!"

So much for not crying...
Jez patted Jayden awkwardly on the arm. She wasn't all that great on the emotions front, although Nate had tried to convince her otherwise. She glanced around for Cael - he was Jayden's boyfriend, right? Where was he when she needed him?! "It's okay. I'll miss you all too," said Jez sincerely. "But you'll see everyone next year." Her brow creased. "You will be coming back, right?" If she wasn't she had an even bigger reason to cry ...
Nate's arms landed on the shoulders of Jez and Jayden as he approached them, willing himself not to feel sad at all. Jayden's tears weren't helping. "Hi girls," he sighed, smiling back and forth between the two.
Looking at Jez now, Nate saw mixed emotions written all across her face. He was actually familiar with that, but this time there wasn't any suave move he could pull to fix it. He felt the same way too. "By the way, from what I remember of the Room of Requirement yesterday, that was really fun. I still have a headache, though..." he said, rubbing the back of his head. Then he turned his attention to Jayden. "I haven't seen you in a while, Jay. What's been going on in your life?" Nate inquired, taking a spot next to Jez at the table. He wasn't ready to go, but he was definitely ready to eat.

"Yes, I will be coming back." Jayden answered, her voice shaking a bit as she struggled to regain her composure. "What are your plans for school shopping? We should all go together to Diagon Alley as a group!" She said excitedly, trying to think of happier things. Shopping made her happy.

"Not too much, I've been busy with studies.. Cael and I are still going strong and I'm happy with that." Jayden smiled at Nate, absentmindedly playing with the necklace Cael got her for Christmas. "What's new with you?"

"I'm not surprised you have a headache," said Jez, with the tiniest hint of huffiness in her voice. She smiled at Nate though. She couldn't be mad at him, least of all because he hadn't asked to be knocked out. Jez tended to overlook little details like that.

Jez was glad Jayden was coming back - after the earlier tension, she found liked the girl. She smiled when Jayden suggested a group shopping trip. "That would be great, but I'll be in America for a large majority of these holidays. I'm staying with Nate and Pam," she explained. Speaking of Pam ... where was she? Jez glanced around for her friend, but not seeing her, returned to the conversation.
"That's a really pretty necklace," she commented, pointing at Jayden's neck. "Let me guess, Cael got it for you? He knows his way around jewellery, I see."

Nate bit his lip, almost like Jez did so often. "Well... Funny story... Wait, didn't we already tell you about what happened in the Room of Requirement a few weeks ago? I could've sworn you knew what happened there..." he mumbled. He really had set himself up for that, though.

Jez rolled her eyes at Nate's conversation with Jayden. "I doubt it," she said dryly. "I haven't been shouting it from the towers, Nate." Too scared that Faina might get wind of it before it could be broken to her gently, otherwise Jez most certainly would have ...
"I kissed Nate in the Room a few weeks ago," she told Jayden. "And he seemed to enjoy it." She grinned at Nate. Seemed to. Yeah, let's go with that.
Jez then stared at him when he asked for a recount of yesterday's episode in the Room. Merlin's pants, do I have to? Well she wasn't telling him how scared she'd been, for him mostly. No way. Nope. Never in a million years would she admit she'd been frightened. "You tried to do a Patronus Charm," she said carefully. "And you actually did really well, you got a poof of silver smoke," better than Jez had ever accomplished, "but you slipped backwards, hit your head and knocked yourself out. I had to drag you behind cover." She smiled. "For a small kid, you weighed a ton when you were unconscious!" Her smile faded slightly. "You don't remember anything?" she asked. "Really nothing?"
Pam skipped down to the Ravenclaw table. "Hi guys!" She said to Jez, Nate, and Jayden. "Can you believe the terms already over?" She used all her energy not to look at Jez or Nate, because she didn't want to have to explain what the two ghost like figures were. Or why they came. Well, the latter, she didn't really know.
Nate smirked back at Jez. "You seemed to enjoy it, too. Let's not forget that," he joked. He could have sworn he'd told Jayden, though... Ah, the Room of Requirement story. he thought as Jez recounted the previous night. "I remember the patronus, and that's all. So what happened, how did we get out?" Now Nate was genuinely interested. After all, he had missed it in his state of uselessness. "Oh, and did you get my wand? I haven't seen it all day."
Then there were four. "Pam! Glad to see you survived your first trip to the Room of Requirement," Nate greeted. In hindsight, that probably wasn't the wise thing to say to such a traumatized girl. But, Nate was still a bit out of it from the blunt force trauma to the head.

"Yeah, Cael got it for me." Jayden answered sheepishly, a slight blush forming on her cheeks. "He should be coming down here soon. Oh really, America? Cool! I'll be spending most of my time in England with my parents, but I'm hoping to also spend some time in Wales with Caelius."

"Oh yes... I heard about that." Jayden mumbled, slightly embarrassed to hear about Nathan's love life, due mostly to the fact that they had a history together.
But then he started acting... strange...
"Wait, Pam's what? You didn't finish!"

Jayden looked up as another voice called out to her friends. Her eyes narrowed as she took note of the fact that she had been completely ignored.
People these days.
She forced a wide smile, and extended her hand. "Hey there... Harvey right? I've seen you around. I'm Jayden."

Jez bit her lip and plunged a hand into the pockets of her robes. "Has to be here somewhere ..." she muttered, turning out the front ones. In the end, she took out her own wand and said firmly, "Accio Nate's wand!"
A few second later, as Jez fretted silently over the fact that she might have lost her best friend's wand, a small stick-like object came whizzing into the Great Hall and over to the Ravenclaw table, hitting Jez in the side of the head. "Ow!" she yelped, then held up the wand triumphantly. "Got it!" She presented it to Nate with a flourish. "Your wand, good sir." She smiled, and then got back onto the subject.
"The Room was weird. Awesome, but weird. After you got knocked out, Pam and I hid behind some of the fallen weights, and I was thinking we'd be stuck there forever when the Room started helping us. It merged the weights together to create a barrier, then the wand I got from it started doing spells on its own! It did the Patronus Charm, and made a cabinet appear, and gave us a suggestion for a spell we could use to help you." Jez suddenly had a thought. "Hey, what memory did you use? You know, for your Patronus Charm? I might use something like it next time I want to do a patronus, it seemed quite effective." She grimaced. "The one I used in DADA was finding Hardhoof, but it didn't seem strong enough."
Jez saw Pam come in, and patted the seat near her. "Hi!" she said happily. "Pull up a seat. Then she waved to Harvey when he returned her greeting. "It feels like the start of term feast again, although this one is way less awkward!" she laughed.
Nate smirked back at Jez. "You seemed to enjoy it, too. Let's not forget that," he joked. He could have sworn he'd told Jayden, though... Actually, Ellie didn't much mind that it was the end of the year. OWLs were over. Summer was almost here. She'd be a sixth year, meaning no torturous exams. And she could only think of a couple people she'll truly miss after they go on their own way in life.
Mainly, Mina. Who the redhead scanned around for upon entering the Great Hall. She was officially the person Ellie'd know the longest. And she was leaving. So, yeah, it was a bit sad. However, she knew that because Mina was such a good friend, they'll still be communicating, and seeing each other, so there really was no reason to be too upset.
Not seeing the seventh year yet, Ellie sat herself somewhere near the center of the table. Position didn't really matter to her.

Jordan was bored at the Gryffindor table, and he had noticed that most of his friends at the Ravenclaw table. He walked over to them, smiling and sitting down next to them. "Hey guys!" he smiled at them all, "You okay?" he asked. At this point he noticed that pretty much all of his friends were Ravenclaws...

Pam looked over at Harvey. "hi!! I can't wait to go home!" then she turned to Jayden. "hey girl! It feels like forever since I've seen you! Ive been good.. Ive got so many things to tell you about! I'll need to dind you on the train."
Harvey smiled as Pam said she couldnt wait to go home.. and Harvey couldnt wait to come back. He wanted to be around ALL his friends, especially some that were very special to him. He looked around again at the Hufflepuff table when he heard someone call him, Harvey looked towards a fellow housemate who had met only a few times. He became nervous, how could he have missed saying hi to her. He rubbed the back of his neck and then extended his hand and shook hers "Yeah you got it right. Yeah I remember now.. its a shame we didnt get to hang out more often." he smiled weakly... what WOULD Jayden think of him? why didnt he say hi to her as well? so what they didnt know each other,, she was.. IS his housemate, so he SHOULD have said Hi. He hoped Jayden wouldnt dislike him for his mistake.
Orr walked into the Great Hall for the End of the year feast. She couldn't believe that her first year at Hogwarts had come to an end. And what a year it was!!

The STB fifth year Louisa Carter walked into the Great Hall with a big smile on her face. Last year, she'd walked into the same hall at the same time of the year with a wish that eventually stabbed her in the chest - not this year! She was completely free of disappointment and expectations. She only wanted to hear what Tate had to say and then dive in the feast!
.. speaking of which, the silverware seemed clean enough unlike the start of the term. With a satisfied smile, the girl sat down randomly on her house table. One sad fact was inevitable tonight though; Kita was graduating.
