Alyssa ran....or at least she tried to without further injuring her knee. Breathlessly she stopped in front and Minerva and presented a small little box wrapped in yellow paper with swirly decorations on it. "Happy Birthday, Min. I just received your invite and so I came running up to make sure that I didn't miss your birthday. I hope you like the present. I didn't know what to get you, so if you don't like it, you can always return it to me and I'll find something else for you, the next chance I get." Alyssa told her still trying to catch her breath.

"UMMM Alyssa" Oh no Alyssa read the invite wrong.."It's not my birthday. It's Violets I'm throwing this for her. She had a big fight with her twin sister who is not in our house, so I decided to throw a celebration for her! I'm sorry I confused you, but thanks for being so nice. Is it something we might be able to give Violet?"

Someone else walked in. Yes people got her owl. "Hello Louise glad you could come. The Birthday Girl will be here soon!" This was going to be a big success. Minerva moved to the table and turned on the music.

it's ok this party is going to be great, she saw another girl Alyssa she knew her by name but not by face, " hi my name is louise i is my fist team here"

Alyssa turned red with embarrassment. She should learn to read properly. Thank goodness the gift would be appropriate for Violet so at least she didn't have to get another present.

"I'm sorry. I did misread the invite. Yes, the present could be given to Violet."

Alyssa then turned to the girl who had said hello. "Hi Louise nice to meet you."

"Oh Alyssa it's ok. I'm just glad people got my invites. I hope Violet likes the party." Minerva gave her friend a quick huge. "How is your knee my dear?"

Salima waled into the common room 'Happy birthday' she said as she walked through 'sorry I can't stay but I am just too tired' she finished as she walked up towards the girls dormitories'

Violet was ready in her party outfit, checking to see if she looked OK. Satisfied she did, she smiled and opened the door, running down into the common room and beaming. 'WOW! Minnie! This is amazing!' she gaped. It was beautiful! Violet was still shocked that Minnie had done this for her, but she was glad she had! She felt really special! Like Violet! Not half of a whole, she felt like her own individual. And it was at that moment when she realised she was. She was a twin, but she didn't have to be half of a person. She'd be her. Violet. She grinned and hugged Minnie, before greeting everyone. This was amazing!

Late.

Kita was running late... AGAIN! And this was for a PARTY! Violet's birthday party! What if the girl was already there? And Kita would just come bursting through? That wouldn't be very nice, now would it? No! Especially to the birthday girl.

So the seventh year closed the door to her dorm and ran the length to the common room. That's where the party was being held right? The common room? Meh. She could at least check on the way to wherever it is the party was being held.

Kita opened the door to the common room... and stopped. Merlin, it looked lovely in here! A smile spread across the seventh year's face as her eyes wandered from the decorations to the- wait, was that FOOD?!

Teehee! This was going to be a great party wasn't it? But there was no use standing at the door that linked the common room to the girl's dorm! No, no! Kita started walking forward, clutching her gift for Violet in her hand.

Wait... Was that... NOOOOO! She WAS late! How in the name of merlin had she managed to be late for the birthday girl? Hmph! Actually, she knew why. But... making your hair perfect was a NECESSITY! And so was picking out the PERFECT outfit!

But hey, she could just style this out, right? Well, it was something she was going to do. "HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY!" she squealed, holding her gift up in the air.

... She was mad.

Violet looked up and saw someone come in, and grinned. 'You have Minnie to thank! She made a party for me!' Violet beamed at Minnie. 'I'm Violet!' she smiled, sticking her hand out. People were actually coming to her party? She felt rather happy about that... She thought no-one would come...

"Oh you are so welcome. Violet you are one of my closest friends I wouldn't miss your birthday! Go get some food and have some fun!" Minerva was happy that Violet was excited. Everyone seemed to be having fun. Minerva went over and turned up the music. Wondering where Aaron could be it's not a party without his craziness, but oh well. "Violet it's time to get your dance on!!"

'I am?' Violet asked, beaming widely. She was one of Mnnie's closest friends! Awesome! Minnie was one of her closest friends. She didn't have many friends. But the friends she did have were amazing. 'Dancing, huh?' Violet grinned, doing some sort of crazy dance. 'Now we just need Aaron, and it'll go kerazy!' Violet laughed.

Minerva laughed as she danced with Violet. She was so glad she put the celebration together.

Violet laughed and puffed her cheeks out, before pretending to swim. Mad dances... Kerazy.

Janice ran into the commonroom right after she got the owl from Minerva about a birthday party for Violet. Who is Violet? Just then, she saw a girl, first year probably, being congratulated by a LOT of people. She studied her face, and remembered that she is Rose's sister with whom she had shared a compartment with on the Hogwarts Express. She quickly put a grin on her face and ran towards her.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VIOLET!!!"

Violet jumped as a new person addressed her. She was seriously too easy yo scare... She'd have to work on that. She smiled at the girl coming towards her and screaming and laughed. 'Thank you! As you know, I'm Violet!' Violet smiled shyly. Depending on which house she was talking to, this was how she acted. Hufflepuffs she acted shy, Gryffindors she acted mischievious, Ravenclaws she acted friendly and Slytherins... Well, she acted like she did with Ashley. She'd only met Ashley as a Slytherin. And she was very fond of the boy. She blushed as she thought about this, and snapped back to reality.

Minerva had left the party to get a breath of fresh air. She was so happy when she left, because her friend Violet was having such a good time, but as she came back into the common room she was now sad. She went over to a chair and decided to pull out her egg. She need to check on sparkles. She names the egg sparkles for the glittering metal. Minerva had become attached to the egg taking it everywhere and always looking at it or doing a spell on it to make sure it was comfortable. As she took it out of her bag she noticed the egg felt cold. "Aww Sparkles you cold?" She whispered to it. Yeah people would start thinking she was crazy talking to an egg. Minerva took out her wand. "Argentum Calidus" Minerva said and she could feel Sparkles getting warmer. That's better she thought. Then Minerva decided to polish the egg "Excolo" Minerva said as she moved her wand around the pretty little egg. She then placed the egg back into her bag she didn't want anything to happen to sparkles and knew it was safe in her bag.

Cassie couldn't help but smile a little when Treyen started laughing. She was glad he was amused but she wasn't and her fellow year mates weren't either. In fact they were pretty ticked at her, especially Evelyn.Shrug. They would cool down hopefully...right?

She nodded.

"It was I suppose, though mostly we were just setting up. Vindy owled us later in the day and informed us to meet in the owlery. I just knooooow we're going to be scooping owl poo." She groaned miserably. Nevermind, the she-snakes were going to be mad at her indefinitely. She supposed Josh and Carter were barely ruffled, but they were boys and little seemed to bother them much.

Cassie smiled at the pleased/happy look on Treyen's face after she assured him she would deliver his message."I'm sure he would love to get an owl from you though." Yep James was probably the sort to keep those owls too.

She noticed the smile that had now formed on Treyen's face and knew the boy's thoughts had gone to Ella. Sooo cute. These two really knew how to do this go slow stuff though jeesh! She thought they would have just out with it and been a couple already but to each his own and this was probably saving them both a lot of heart aches and mistakes in the relationship. Treyen was a smart boy after all.

She chuckled at how flustered he had become at her question and smirked, really smirked, when he said he had been kissing facing with Ellie.

She sat up straight in her chair and grinned/smirked at the boy for a few seconds before fixing him with a proud mama look.

"Oh so you've just been kissing Ellie eh?" Smirkity smirk smirk. "Have sparks been flying?" She just had to know, Treyen was growing up so fast.

Penny arrived and discovered she was late...again...The party was in full swing, the music was playing, people were mingling and talking....

Now all she had to do was locate the birthday girl, Violet.

Alyssa walked in and realized that she had too long to do what she needed to do. The party was already in full swing. She walked over to Violet, and gave her a big hug. "Happy Birthday, Violet. Are you having fun? I got you a present, but don't open it now. Hopefully you'll like it, "Alyssa told Violet handing over a box wrapped in glittering yellow and black stripe paper.

Honestly, she didn't even have to complain about it. "It won't last more than a day, I'm sure...and it'll be over quicker than you think," probably, but it really couldn't last as long as she thought...and once they were done, they were back to their old selves, no?

Ah. Treyen would get to writing soon enough, yet the list of letters to write was becoming rather large by the second. The one for Neptune wasn't even done yet. "I will."

Oh, man. He hated that look.

He shouldn't have said anything about kissing Ellie. Now Cassie was looking at him with that smirk on her face.

How. Incredibly. Embarrassing.

"Just her." That's what actually mattered, no? That he wasn't kissing anyone else. Never mind how awkward he felt by discussing this, the smile was still there, and the blush probably increased by the second. "I like her. A lot." Cassie knew this. "And...wait, what?" what sparks was she talking about? And what did that have to do with anything, really?

Minerva was sitting in a chair relaxing watching others dance when she say Penny and Alyssa come in. "Hey girls bought time you get here!! Come dance with us." Minerva got up and went to turn up the music again.

Alyssa decided that after that weird incident at the lake, she decided to pick a safer and warmer environment, the Hufflepuff Common Room. “I hope that the ‘dunking’ in the lake, hasn’t affected you in anyway, my friend,”Alyssa quietly whispered to the egg, looking around to make sure that nobody heard her. She didn’t want people to think that she was crazy talking to an egg of all things.

She took the woolen sock out of her bag, and unwrapped the egg from it. Then it happened again. The moment Alyssa held it in her hand, the egg ‘bounced’ out of her hand and rolled away from where Alyssa was seated on the couch.

“Look out everybody. Look out!! Don’t step on it!! Watch out!!” Alyssa yelled out to everyone who happened to be in her path as she gave chase after the egg that continued to roll all over the place. “Now where did it go?” Alyssa lost track of it for a moment and couldn’t see where it had rolled to. She would have used the Accio spell again but since she didn’t know where it was hiding, she couldn’t accurately summon for it. 'Chances are I’ll end up with everybody else’s egg except mine!' Alyssa thought to herself.

She looked under every table and chair in the Common Room and then noticed something glistening under the other end of the couch. She ran over, looked under the couch and breathed a sigh of relied when she found the egg. 'Now how did it roll all over the place and end up back here again?' Alyssa thought to herself. She was really puzzled by the egg’s behavior. 'If I didn’t know better I would think that this egg has some form of intelligence'. She recalled the other time when the egg had done the same thing, and was now sure that she hadn’t dropped the egg. The egg HAD bounced out of her hand, like it did just a few minutes ago.

“First let’s get you out of there.” Alyssa reached out to grab the egg, and it moved to the right dodging her fingers. “So you want to play huh?” Alyssa decided that two could play the game. She moved her fingers to the right feinting that she was reaching for it but quickly moved them back to the left, successfully catching the egg when it moved back in the opposite direction. She pulled it out from under the couch and it remained very still in her hands. Squinting at it, Alyssa noticed that it had picked up some lint and wiped it off. Then she noticed that its metallic shine was starting to fade a little. So taking out her wand she said “Ex-CO-lo” while tracing and moving her wand all over the egg. Just like before a yellow light engulfed the egg. When it disappeared, the egg was shining brilliantly again in the glow of the fireplace behind her. It still felt warm to touch, like it usually did, so it wasn’t necessary for her to warm it up or cool it down.

Alyssa tightly cupped the egg in the palm of her hand, placed it back in its woolen sock and tucked it safely back into her bag. 'After all that activity, I need to grab some breakfast.'Alyssa thought to herself leaving the Common Room for the Great Hall.

Violet beamed at Alyssa and hugged her back. 'Thank you! I'm having loads of fun!' Violet smiled happily. 'You did? You didn't have to!' Violet smiled, looking at the present. It looked so pretty! She took it carefully and beamed at it. 'It looks like a bumblebee!' she giggled.

"I'm Janice!! I believe that we met at the Hogwarts express. Right?" She smiled.
