Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Carriwitchet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

So that was the feast over with. And as Tom made his way to the Gryffindor Tower for the first time in his life, he felt very alone. He was surprised by how much he was missing his ma already. He didn't spend much time in their flat, nor in her company.. and he wasn't always very nice to the poor woman, but just knowing she was always there when he needed her was a comfort to the lad.
He followed into the common room behind another student, relieved he didn't have to utter the password. It was a long, unfamiliar word and he'd forgotten it already. He was going to have to devise a way to remember in future.
The common room was certainly grand and where the open fires and large sofas were supposed to be inviting, Tom found it all a little intimidating and overwhelming. He was used to the concrete jungle of the estate. It was his home. This place seemed so foreign to him.
He took a seat in an armchair, not really knowing what to do with himself. Maybe he should just go for a stroll outside. Get his thoughts together.. but that was unfamiliar too: he had a feeling he would feel just as lost out there.

Lucy entered the room, with a great big smile on her face, it was good to be back she thought looking around at everything. This was her seventh year in Hogwarts and she still felt like it was her first. She was very excited about this term. She hoped it would turn out to be a good one. Last year wasn't much fun for her.
She came near a seat and sat on it and relaxed herself t get ready for the classes which would be starting any time.

Kurumi was feeling crushed. The kitchen?! Her precious kitchen! How was she supposed to fulfill her cookie que for the term without it? She already planned on visiting Professor Magnus in the morning, although she wanted to discuss other more serious matters than how to transfigure a proper over. But, cookies came first. Well, second if you counted her trying to figure out what was wrong with the house elves.
After speaking the password, and blushing as the Fat Lady congratulated her on becoming a prefect, Kurumi entered the common room for the first time of the term and was immediately enveloped by the warmth radiating from the fire place and the glow of the gold and crimson decor.
Trying to erase her concerns from earlier in the day, Kurumi put a smile on her face and took several steps forward. "Evening everyone," she smiled, bowing her head to each person present. "I hope you all enjoyed the feast. If you a still looking for something to eat, I have cookies left over." She set the box of remaining Gryffindor cookies on one of the tables and sat down on the sofa closest to the fireplace. Walnut, pleased that his mistress had returned, the cat waddled over to her and promptly jumped onto her lap, demanding her undivided attention.

Oh no. Now the Slytherin argument was coming. "Sorry! I just mean... Well there's at least 2 mean people I've met here and they're both from Slytherin. But that's probably just a coincidence. I know a lot of nice snakes..." Yeah, she was rambling now. And embarrassing herself. She could never seem to catch a break. "Um, yeah. So your a gryffindor! Happy about that?" She was trying to change the subject. And failing at it.
At this Emily smiled widened. "I'm a third year too." she nodded, pleased to meet someone her own age. Then a thought struck her. How could she be so rude? "I'm Emily by the way." she said holding out her hand for them to shake. Why did she never introduce herself anymore?

Gideon was thankful when the feast was finally complete and they were allowed to head upstairs. It may have took a bit of effort with the many flights but it was worth it to be back in the more comfortable surroundings of the Gryffindor common room. Giving the password, he stepped through the portrait hole and walked into the large room spotting several students already there including Kurumi and the boy crossed over to the couch she was seated at with her cat...Walnut he seemed to remember on her lap.
"Interesting start wasn't it?" he mused as he took a seat in the chair beside.

Progressing inside the room, she felt a delicious smell teasing her nostrils. Trying to locate its source, her eyes fell upon Kurumi's trademark cookies. 'Mmm. I remember those. They were the most welcoming thing when I started my first year.' Ariadne smiled, approaching Kurumi. 'I'm sorry we didn't get to talk more at the feast.' she blushed, hoping the older Gryffindor wasn't upset. 'I didn't get to ask you about your holiday. How was it?' the second year wondered.

Emily walked into the common room and sat next to her younger sister, she (the sister) yawned and told Emily that she was going straight to bed and said good night.After a few minuites emily did the same.

After eating in the Great Hall with his two best pals, Ronnie and Rose, Jordan decided to march down to the most comfortable place on earth. The Gryffindor Common Room. He remembered the first time he ever took step, in the common room. The room smelt like fresh Cologne, and had the most impressive furniture he had ever seen. If only he had this setup at his place. And he loved the warmth he captured on a cold, wintery night. Believe it or not, he even missed the Fat Lady. Although she had a God Awful singing voice, it reminded him of a place to be. Like a vacation spot, because for him, the Gryffindor Common Room, was out-of-this-world. And he loved it.
As he walked in the Common Room, he immediately rendered a vision in his mind, what it was like to step forth, in the Common Room, just a year ago. And he looked at himself then, boy had he come a long way. After relaxing and looking around at everything, Jordan decided to take a seat, and maybe one of his friends would stop by to talk to him, before he could take a nap! As he always needed sleep.
