Hugo backed away with a priceless scared look on his face and his arms ready to protect his body. After realizing he was standing there like a lunatic, he used the cowardly backing away as an excuse to plop down on a seat next to his backpack. He was not going to touch that kitty... It looked like it was going to murder him. Breeeeathe in. It was only a bloody cat. "Um, sorry for that..." he said and eyed the devilish part of the cat's head that was peeking over the edge of Eino's back pack. "Three months?" Hugo repeated and rolled his eyes up and mouthed the numbers he was counting back. "Blimey, that's a long time," he said after he was done with his calculations. "My summer? It was... Okay. I went to France, but I didn't really do anything exciting," he told Eino. He mainly... Slept. A lot. "It was a bit boring, really. I'm glad to go back to school," he gestured his head towards the window, but they were still in the outer part of London, so school was still a long way ahead.
"And how was yours?" he asked after looking back at Eino. He didn't really know a lot about Eino's plans for the summer. Well at least he knew he didn't get attacked by a bear this time. Silly Eino.
Eino and Ino both listened attentively to Hugo but for different reasons. Eino was genuinely interested in how his friend had spent his summer, and Ino was interested in knowing when the staring boy would leave. She quickly poked her head out, then back in. Nope, she wasn't leaving until he left. Eino, on the other hand, had listened to everything Hugo said. "France does sound like a delightful place to spend the summer." He finally said, slightly disappointed that Hugo hadn't done much, thus having nothing more to report. However, he could agree that being back in school and London was much better than summer anywhere.
"I did have quite an eventful summer, I should say." He began as he now closed his book and placed it on his lap. "I left to Finland the day after the last day of school, I do recall, and only returned seven moons past the last." He recounted with the intention to report every single day he had spent away from England, but that would take an awful long time, so he would skip to the most exciting parts. "Let' see, I did win first place in a fencing tournament in Finland, and second places in Germany and Sweden." Yes, that had been very exciting. He hadn't participated in any fencing tournaments last summer since he had lost one arm, but all was well now. "Oh, and I did see a Swedish Short-Snout dragon while I was in Sweden! Sadly, it was dead... It had been terrorizing a wizard town, and the wizards were forced to kill it because it would not be driven away. They later found that it was a female and she wouldn't leave because she had nested nearby. They did capture her eggs, two of them, and I believed they planned on sneaking them onto a different dragon's nest." Eino had finally realized one of his dreams, but he would have preferred if the dragon was a live. Still, it was fascinating to see a dragon in person, even if it wasn't up close. "Besides that, I worked in my grandparents shop and I also found out that my father isn't my real father and that my name is Philip. Curious things." He said at last as he shrugged. He realized he had been talking for an awful long time.

Then he noticed a different student enter the compartment. It was a girl, and she looked like a first year. He could tell because everyone else usually had House crests on their trunks and other objects, but she had none. "Hello, there!" Eino called her attention and waved. He had noticed her speak to her animal carrier, and hoped that it would be occupied by some sort of animals. He probably should have gotten one for his cat, but she hadn't proved to be mischievous so he didn't worry too much.

Adam figured he would just take the first open compartment that he could find, and by his luck it just so happened to be in the front of the train. Filing inside with JB Adam threw his back pack in the luggage rack above him before sitting down. JB hopped up next to him, curling his little body into a ball before closing his eyes to sleep.
At least one of them could...maybe Adam would see someone he knew.
Ellie passed many compartments as she made her way to the very front of the train. She had only been glancing in them, but someone in one of them caught her attention. There was time to spare before the train would leave and she'd go find Treyen, so she decided to go in and say hi for a moment.
"Adam! Hi." Sure, it hadn't been THAT long since she'd seen him, but they were bestfriends so of course Ellie was excited to see him.
The dog, however, went unnoticed.

At least, she hadn't had to drag her trunk far before she found an empty compartment, and then she somehow managed to boost the heavy trunk up into the luggage area before dropping onto one of the seats. That was tiring, but she wasn't about to try and use magic when it wasn't allowed. Although she wondered if the train counted as part of the school, and magic was allowed there. Beauxbatons had been easier in that regard, as there hadn't really been travel like this involved. Especially since usually her mother had taken her down near the school every year to avoid that sort of thing. But she was on her own now, which was part of the excitement factor. Even if it also meant having to deal with her trunk on her own too.
Reaching a hand down to stroke her kitten's fur as Lyra crawled out of her basket, which she'd left down on another of the seats, to curl up next to her side, she glanced down at the furball with a smile. "Well, we're this much closer to Hogwarts now, Lyra," she said quietly, before turning to her purse to pull out a leather-bound copy of "Dr. Faustus" and opened it to where she'd left off last time she'd been reading it. She might as well occupy herself somehow, while she was still by herself.
Paulie really should not have been this late to the train, but how could he help the fact that Archimedes was in an uncooperative mood this morning? As he hurriedly boarded the trian, he gave the owl one of those narrow-eyed looks, but when he found that Archimedes was already staring back at him with big, intense owl eyes, Paulie quickly diverted his attention to the aisle in front of him.
He passed by compartment after compartment. Occupied, occupied, occupied. The next one that's somewhat open, he told himself, he was going to sit in. And, lo and behold, the very next compartment had but one student in it.
He slid the door open and knocked on the frame to get the girl's attention away from her book for a second. "Hi, uhh.. do you mind if I sit here?" Huh.. she looked a lot like this girl who went to Beauxbatons with him. Then again, maybe he was just bleary-eyed from a lack of sleep last night.
Shifting his weight a little, Paulie stood waiting for her approval.

Ohh wait, she looked familiar.Approaching the compartment door the blonde peeked through the glass and a huge smile apparead on her face.It was Nika.Yay.Opening the door the Slythern stepped in and plopped down on the opposite seat."Heeeyyy beautiful",she smiled,"how is it going?I missed you."
Nika let out a small yawn as she lifted her head up from the seat. She put her feet back on the ground and blinked a few times trying to get used to the light. It was a short nap yes, but she got some sleep anyways. That's what counts. Nika turned towards the compartment door hearing it being opened. It was always nice to have company. Riding alone is never fun.
A big smiled practically took over her face as she saw who the person walking in was. "FEEE!" She let out a small squeal and smiled to herself seeing her friend take a seat in the compartment. "I like your dress!" She let out a small giggle and looked at her own excuse for an outfit. "I wasn't wearing this sweater before I got here... It's just really cold." Well for Nika it was cold. Then again, she's always cold.
"Oh, pretty much same old same old." Nika smiled as she pulled back a peice of hair, with her oversized sleeves, that was getting into her eyes. "I missed you too." It had been a whole summer! And even though she did see a few familiar faces in Diagon Alley she hasn't talked to most of her friends since the last school term. "How are you doing?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. The two had some catching up to do.

Getting pretty immersed in the chaos that was happening in the play, Stella occasionally reached ahand down to pet Lyra. The kitten wasn't exactly liking the train ride, she thought. At least, she could feel her trembling as she tried to curl into even more of a ball next to her leg, but she didn't want to shift position to cuddle her right now. Maybe closer to when they'd be arriving at school. Either way, between reading Marlowe and worrying about her kitten, she'd hardly paid attention to the people passing by in the corridor. Of course, so far nobody had asked to come in, either, which was kind of annoying especially since she'd thought Hogwarts students would be friendly and everything. She hoped she was right.
But then she heard a knock on the compartment door, and she glanced up for a moment. Oh, doorframe, she mentally corrected herself, as she saw that the door was in fact not closed anymore, then a bit of a quizzical look crossed her expression at the boy standing there. "No, of course I don't mind," she responded, still thinking about how he seemed familiar. "Will your owl have any problems with my kitten?," she went on to ask, closing the book as she decided it was more polite to not be reading if there was someone talking to her, but leaving a finger marking her spot anyway. Besides, that weird familiar thing was way too distracting, and finally she couldn't hold back her curiosity. "Did you go to Beauxbatons?," she asked, "I'm sorry if that sounds weird, but you just look like someone I remember from there."

Selena had brought a pillow on board. She had learned after three terms that the Hogwarts Express was a great place to be comfy, talk, nap and eat. So should she get bored of talking, she was going to take a nap with her polka-dotted pillow. Selena opened the door of a compartment and sat herself down, excited to be back at Hogwarts in a few short hours... if the company was good, that is.
She dropped her bag down on the seat next to her and unwrapped a giant lollipop. Sel liked lollipops, especially the big ones, they were colorful and pretty and sugar-filled lovelies. Mmmhmm. As she looked outside the window, she saw students buzzing around. Ahh... Hogwarts, the term was going to start again soon and Selena couldn't wait.
This was it. Today was the day he's been waiting for since his fourth year. It's time for Hogwarts. His first and last year. The Seventh year walk all the way to the front of the train to look for Fee but he couldn't find her so someone else would have to do because he just didn't know that many people...yet. So he found a girl. She was rather short but he thought he was short but he guessed wrong because he was taller but not six feet...yet.
Jasper looked at the girl and cleared his throat. "Hello." his deep southern american accent spoke.

Mina was about to open another box of peppermint toads when she heard the compartment door open and then a voice. A faint voice, but a voice still.
Looking up, she smiled. It was strange to see another person in her compartment, but she kind of liked the idea at the moment. She had planned on sitting alone and eating all the chocolate she could, in turn making herself sick; but maybe having some company would be nice.
"No harm, no foul." she replied with her trademark friendly smile. "Sure, it looks like a battle zone out there and it's safe in here." Seriously, each year it seemed to get progressive more pushy out there and it wasn't a place for the younger students.
"Do make yourself at home," she added as she opened her treat and set her bag next to Diana's cage. The little owl hooted at the newcomer and hide behind her wing. "Don't mind her, she just restless to get out of her cage and be free to fly around again." The little scop owl was just missing her friends.
"Oh my, where are my manners?" she giggled before extending her hand. "I'm Mina. Jasmina Bennett, but everyone calls me Mina."
Yeah, the chocolate was starting to set in.
Toni felt a little eased by the girls smile... but friendly smiles could be untrustworthy ones as well. Yet, Toni felt rather comforted by the smile no matter how much older this girl was. And she was right, people were quite aggressive in the corridor.
She picked up her bag and walked in completely, before shutting the door to keep out the havoc in the corridor.
Toni took a seat and put her bag next to her. She looked at the older girl and then to the owl. "She's cute." Toni said in her usual small voice... but she really loved owls, she beg daddy to get her, her own owl... instead of the family owl.
But for now she simply smiled at the owl. It really was adorable.
Manners? She let her stay, wasn't manners? But then the girl extended her hand... oh... that silly thing. She had never understood the whole, 'shake my hand' thing. What was the point... just squeezing someones hand, who you barely knew was awkward.
"Toni" she said, and took the girls hand for a moment before letting go. She then took out her wand, rolling it between her fingers, as was habit when she was nervous. She looked out the window, hoping to see a first glimpse of this Warty Hog, and prepare herself for the Dementors. She really hated those things, and their terrible chill.
Walking down the corridor India spotted a nearly-empty compartment. Nervously she knocked on the door.
"Excuse me? Er - might I join ya?" She asked, her accent hitting its familiar australian twinge as she spoke. It wasn't something she wanted to 'wear' as a badge. Transfer girl. Right that was lame she was nearly a seventh year and she was in a new school.
As she stood in the doorway she fidgeted with her necklace.
Selina could feel her eyes starting to drift off into a dream land in the dark compartment when suddenly the door slid open. Her blues eyes shot open at the light and she put her hand up to block out all unnecessary light. Who was bothering her? She hoped that it wasn't Kurumi, that conversation had ended quite awkwardly and she did not want to talk to her just yet about what had transpired on the Platform.
Once her eyes focused she saw a new girl that she had never seen before asking if she could join Selina in the compartment. Nodding her head slightly she replied, "Sure, come on in." She gestured to the seat opposite of herself and said, "Sorry, I've never seen you before. I'm Selina Skylar."
"No, I didn't get to go to the Joke Shop. I didn't have time and my mother wouldn't have approved," Aviva shrugged. She wouldn't have approved either, if she'd been her mother. She was going to school to learn and bringing along items intended to cause trouble could only be bad news, "I guess it could be fun though...Did you get to go, Carson? How was it?"
Aviva's smile faded at the thought of the carnival. Her cousins had been insufferable, showing off cheap prizes and bragging about how brave they'd been to go on the rides and showing up to dinner with candy still smudged on their faces. They were never going to let her live this down. She'd just proved that she was a completely and utterly boring, they'd said, even if they hadn't known that before, "Yes, my cousins went. They said it was unbelievable and I'd probably never see the like again, but they were probably exaggerating. They do that. Do either of you have any cousins?"
Aviva was surprised Mathias' dad hadn't wanted to take him. It sounded like he'd been invited. Even if he didn't care about his kid, wasn't he curious about the Wizarding World? How could he not be? "Yes, I am a first year and that's too bad about your dad. Perhaps he'll come another time."
Aviva left it at that, getting the feeling it wasn't a topic Mathias wished to linger on, "What's your mother like? I take it she's a Witch. Where does she work? Perhaps my mum knows her. That's nice that she was able to take you. Was this your first time in Diagon Alley?"
"No I didn't. My dad doesn't really care about pranks as long as they don't kill anybody so I'm sure that he would've approved. And I'm a first year." Carson said

Kourtney paused outside of a compartment, getting to be a little frustrated at not finding her friends. This was kind of ridiculous. There were way too many people on the train. Maybe she should have stayed with Matt....Her thoughts were broken into by a shout and a few moments later, Indy appeared at her elbow.
"Hi!" She exclaimed, relieved that she had found one friend. Smiling now, she gestured towards a compartment. "Want to sit? You haven't seen Brady, have you? I've been searching for you two forever!"
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

So this was it. The Hogwarts express. For some reason, Daniel was leading the way, even though his cousin was a sixth-year. Lucas had told him to pick out a compartment, preferably one with people in it. Interaction was nice. He spotted an open compartment door. Perfect. He poked his head inside to see if there was any room.

With his bag dragged behind him, Marcelo wanted to scan every part of the train before settling down somewhere. So he had been travelling since the back, thinking there would be a little peaceful since it was the... back. But he had admitted the first minute that that place was even more noisy than the machine of the train itself, so he was now looking for a seat at the front.
Where to sit, really? There were too many options.

Oh, good. She wasn't so engrossed that she didn't pick up on people talking to her. His mum could be like that with her romance novels sometimes.
"Okay, thanks," Paulie smiled and proceeded to push his trunk into the compartment. Whoaoa, she had a kitten? Blimey, the thing was so teeny tiny that he didn't even see it there. "Oh, your cat's cute," he commented, fighting the urge to squeeze it real tight or something. Anyway, the owl. "Nah, he'll be fine, so long as he's in his cage." If he were let loose, that'd be another story.
He took a breath, then hoisted his luggage up above the seat. When she mentioned Beauxbatons, he turned around again. "I did! And you know, I was thinking the same thing." Finally, he plopped down on the seat opposite her. "Paulie Foster ring a bell..?" Probably not, 'cause he wasn't on the quidditch team, nor was he particularly brainy or popular. "I'm really rubbish with names, so what's yours again?" He felt embarrassed having to be reminded, but now was the time to find out.

"Yes." It meant a good three uninterrupted months of Treyen. So, yes, she was excited. "Excited to be going?" SHE was excited he was going. And anxious to see what house he'd be in. Her fingers will be crossed for Ravenclaw.
It was when she walked further into the compartment that she saw the dog. Itwassocute! "You have a puppy?" she asked. The Ravenclaw went over and sat on the other side of the canine, reaching her hand out to pet it.

Harlow was finally ready to sit down and the back of the train was already crowded and full. So with a slight pout on her pretty face the diminutive Riddle made her way back toward the front of the train.
She found a refuge in a empty compartment, but she didn't want to sit alone. There was a tall boy coming up behind her looking for somewhere to sit as well. Clutching Legalos she turned to him, "Would you like to sit with me?" she asked with her dimples twinkling merrily.

Gwen entered the train with a cross between an excited and an apprehensive look on her face. Her brothers had told her how great Hogwarts was and quite frankly the girl couldn't wait to advance her magic but she knew no one. Absolutely no one. And she didn't want to end up sitting alone, or being friendless, especially as she was new like a lot of the first years. Even for a thirteen year old it was scary, leaving her home in Ireland, going to somewhere completely new. Though the escape from her younger brothers was definitely most welcome. Peace and quiet, that was what the third year deserved.
As she walked on through the corridors, she tried as hard as she could to find an empty compartment, one where she could sit alone and read the book that Jude had leant her for the journey. Finding somewhere that looked fairly empty and wasn't surrounded by a load of excited first years, Gwenyth slid open the door and entered, seating herself on the seat furthest away from the door, pressing her cheek against the cool window and reaching for the book she had in her bag.
She straightened the top that her mother had so lovingly packed into her bag without ironing, she had always said that the creased look was quite effective and fiddled with the fishtail plaits that her hair was scruffily placed in, trying to read the book but failing with the amount of distractions on the train. She was used to a lot of people, life in a hippy commune wasn't exactly the quietest of places and with the amount of kids and various adults running around the household, Gwen rarely found any time to be by herself but Hogwarts would be a change. She could be in the 'Common Rooms' her brothers had talked about, or up in her dorm, and during these quiet times she could read or study or do anything that she wasn't able to find the time to do back home.
She moved back to her back, trying as hard as she could to visualise the words and pictures in her head whilst the various calls and noises of the other students echoed across the train.
Right? So this was what she would have to get used to for the next few years?

It was when she walked further into the compartment that she saw the dog. Itwassocute! "You have a puppy?" she asked. The Ravenclaw went over and sat on the other side of the canine, reaching her hand out to pet it.
Adam gave Ellie a little smile before a weary looked place across his face. "Yeah, I'm pretty excited...just a little...uh...overwhelmed." Adam was trying to stay calm and relaxed about the whole thing, but he couldn't help but feel slightly freaked by the number of people around him. Hogwarts was going to be even bigger than he had been imagining. He couldn't stop the name Treyen from coming into his thoughts...who in the world was that? Ellie knew he was different, but he didn't want to freak her out, he figured he'd keep the observation to himself.
Adam looked down at JB who had slightly uncurled from his little ball like position, his nose reaching up towards Ellie's hand. "Yeah, I just got him at Diagon Alley...his name is JB." Adam gave the puppy's back a little rub. So far he had managed to hide the dog from his parents, and he felt like that had a lot to do with JB being...gifted...so to speak.

Fee giggled a little as she heard her friend squeal.Aww it was cute that Nika was happy to see her too. They hadnt seen eachother all summer that was really stupid.Sometimes summer wasnt the best time to meet up with your friends. That was probably the only bad thing about summer holidays. The Slytherin smiled happily as the redhead complimented her dress."Thank you",she grinned,"you are cold? But its summer, love."Taking a closer look at Nika's sweater the blon de couldnt help but chuckle a little. Now she knew why it seemed so familiar."Guess what?",she wiggled her eyebrows,"i have the same one."They should definitely wear it together sometime, that would be fun.
Same old?Oh come one Nika Adler couldnt tell her that nothign had happened over the summer?!There were always things happening over summer."Did you go on vacation?",the fourth year asked,"i havent seen you all summer."Or it was something else.Grriiiiiin."Ohh wait did you met someone?",the girl wiggled her eyebrows,"come on you can tell me,lady."Mhhh... now to her summer.Well, what could she tell about it?!There wasnt too much this time."I met a lot of transfers and showed them around",Fee smiled,"they are all pretty nice.Unfortunately i didnt get to spend much time with Hugo though."

Where to sit, really? There were too many options.
Fee was sitting there just combing her hair to do it into a bun as she noticed a familiar looking guy outside, looking kinda lost.Peeking out the compartment door a bit more a grin spread on her face. Now look who we have here.Opening the door the blonde stepped out and tipped the guy on the shoulder."Well hello mister",she chuckled and leaned on the door frame.
Just as he was thinking about going back and find a compartment of his OWN in the middle, a small girly voice seemed to be adressing at him. He wondered whether he should ignore it at first, but the girl was looking directly at her and he just... couldn't ignore it. Even though he was free of any emotion, he just couldn't help but notice her dimples. Yeah, he would sit for a few minutes, then he would move on.
"Yeah, okay, thanks," he said, trying to smile at her as he dragged his bag into her compartment. "I'm Marcelo." Better to be as fast as possible and exhaust all kinds of possible topics to excuse himself, right?

Upon hearing a really familiar face, it was easy to see a huge grin on Marcelo's face as he half-turned to face the girl. It was such a pretty coincidence to run into her on his first train ride. And even better, she was calling him to sit with her. So that meant she did liked the time with him, and she wanted more. Well, that, he could promise.
Bowing slightly, he said "Hello there, schöne." That was the right form, right? Right. MUST be, he couldn't have forgotten German that fast. "Long time no see." Even though they had met in the Muggle London not very far ago, he missed her smile.
Heh.

She smiled at him, was everyone going to Hogwarts a giant. This boy towered over here, but she wasn't scared or anything. He was just really tall. She slide open the door to the compartment and walked in. Legalos scrambled out of her arms to grab the first seat and Harlow had a time climbing up into the seat herself. And once she was settled she looked like she was sitting in the middle of a cloud with her poodle skirt and petticoat flared out around her on the seat.
Harlow rather liked the effect. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Harlow." she told him with a nod. She pulled a pinwheel lollipop out of her little purse and began to unwrap it. Legalos swiped at it with his pure white paws. She giggled and dodged him. "Are you from England?" she asked asked noting he spoke with a slight accent.

Ellie held her palm up for the puppy to sniff before reaching behind his head and scratching the back of his ears. "Hi, JB," she crooned. "Does it stand for anything?" she asked, looking back up at Adam.

Fee wiggled her eyebrows as she saw the huge grin on the guys face.Awww how cute."Missed me,huh?",she chuckled and got into the compartment again,"wanna join me?"Patting the space next to her the blonde smiled at her friend over there. It was really nice to meet him here at the train, its been what? Two weeks since they've had rocked London for the last time. She wanted to know if anything excited happend.Hehe.
The Slytherin couldnt help but giggle and smile brightly as she heard him complimenting her in german."Hey there handsome",she winked,"where did you learn that, huh?"Long time?Well that depended on what you saw as a long time but nontheless the girl nodded."Yees, what have you been up to all the time?",she asked raising an eyebrow.
The compartments were filling up quickly, as they always did. Levi sidled into the first empty one he found. He took a seat and emitted a wide yawn. He hadn't slept too well the past few nights, mainly because he was so excited to be heading back to school. He had been a total ball of restlessness. His familiar, a bat called Vlad, was perched on his shoulder, sleeping peacefully like a baby. The Gryffindor wished he could do the same right now. It was tempting but he had to stay awake, in case someone decided to join him. It would be so great to catch up with his friends again, perhaps make a few new ones on the ride.
Levi glanced out the window, watching the scenery roll by contentedly. Just think, he would only have three more times to experience this come next year. Best make the most of the rest of his time at Hogwarts. Levi really wasn't sure what he'd be like when he finally reached his seventh term. Would he be wiser? Maybe a little bit, but not an entirely different person. He knew he'd definitely be taller. He had grown nearly a foot since the year before. His voice was already starting to deepen as well. It had moved past that scratchy mode it was in last year, thankfully. Growing up could be so weird but in a way, it was exciting too.
Levi rummaged through his bag for one of his muggle comics. He figured he needed something to pass the time while he waited for his companions/students he hadn't met before. He flipped the book open to the middle and started to read, getting sucked into the usual world of crime-fighters and over-the-top villains. He knew tales about superheroes could be a bit corny but they were his guilty pleasure. They always had been, even when he was a kid.
