The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.

Nika nodded slowly, "Yeah, I really miss them." She sort of regretted staying at the castle, but she did it for Emily not for herself. "Yeah, actually it does make me appreciate them more." She hadn't really thought of that before. Being away from them for almost a whole year made her realize how much she truly loved them. True sometimes they fight, but family is family and now Nika sees that more than ever.
Shaw is more than just "crazy". He is totally and utterly insane! Chainshaw must have something messed up in his head. "Latin?" She repeated dumbly. Oh, right that's what they used to create the spells and stuff. "That's right! You were helping us with the latin stuff because you can speak it." She pretty much answered herself. "I think Shaw is insane." The one word can pretty much sum up the man. "But I guess he's a fun sort of crazy, but he's also the sort of crazy you want to run away from." Eh, yeah.... Because that totally makes sense. "I guess I like him better than the foreign guy though because I can't understand a word he says." What was that guys name again... Well he taught Runes and that in itself was already confusing then he has to add some impossible accent and weird words...

Nika shrugged slowly. How did Raven know this stuff!? "Wow Raven, you know your chocolate!" She let out a small chuckle as she looked around the common room. "So how have you been?"
Raven grin, chocolate make his tummy always fullfil, his Muggle Mom, always giving some to him, saying this will replenish your strengh.
"Strollin' everywhere here, nothing else" he said, not to mention attending classes, make it up.

Maybe if she went and asked the headmaster about it she could bring one next school year.
Thea's eyes were wide. 'Ooer! You'll have to write me a letter or something with it!' Thea grinned, and laughed. Maleficent went stiff as Nika's hand touched her.
Oh dear lord.. She's letting somebody touch me.. No.. no.. wripping her hand off will not be a good idea. Hisss. Shudder..
Thea frowned. 'Sorry, she won't bite you.' Actually, Thea was uprised she hadn't bitten Nika.. 'She's a meanie!' Not for the first time that day, Thea put Maleficent back down on the floor. Ronnie sighed. Sophia wasn't showing up, so she decided to read the letter herself. She walked to a chair near the fire, and tore open the letter. She took it out and read. . . . . . . Ronnie,
We have news about your father...although...it's not the best news. We found out he killed a few wizards a couple weeks ago with his wand, and he is now in Azkaban jail. We're terribly sorry, Ronnie. I love you!
Love, Mom.
Ronnie stared at the letter. Her face was hot, and very red. Her ears turned red too, and she felt very hot. "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" she said, stomping away to the Girl's Dormitories.
Nika rocked back and forth nervously. She wasn't sure if Levi would know it was her and either way it just felt way too embarrassing to even try and admit it. She only smiled at him because he was sitting alone and he looked like he needed someone to talk to. Maybe Nika should have just left it and let someone else go up to him. But no. Of course she smiled and that just made him respond. She felt a rush of blood and looked down at her feet. All she needed to do was avoid the subject of her fellow second year friend and then maybe she'd be able to have a nice conversation with him. A conversation that didn't end in endless blushing and apologies. Now the only question was... How was she supposed to talk with Samira. The slytherin even called out her name a few times. That would be a different problem all together.
"Hey, Levi." She started off nice and smooth. Thank goodness her voice wasn't shaking because that would just give it away. "I-I'm alright." She realized her small stutter and gave herself a mental slap in the forehead because if she kept it up he'd surely realize something was running through her head. "How are you?" She brought back one arm behind her back and crossed to delicate fingers. For good luck. "Don't bring up Samira, don't bring up Samira, please please please Levi...."
Nika's face seemed to have reddened within a span of a few seconds and Levi wondered what was wrong with her. He glanced down for a moment. Did he spill something on his robes in an embarrassing place? Was his fly unzipped? Nah, everything in his appearance seemed to be okay. She was starting to make him a little nervous, though. Normally, she was a pretty mellow person but something had to have been off for her to act this way. Did she knew she might have been caught. Maybe it was best to sedate her worries.
"Uh, Nika, was that you back on the first floor a few days ago?" the Gryffindor asked tentatively, keeping his tone level. "Because if it was, it's okay." He paused. That didn't sound right. "Well, I mean...it wasn't okay back then but I'm not mad anymore. It just wasn't a good idea to, um, watch...you know?" That had been the second time they had almost kissed before something got in the way. It was starting to bug Levi a bit. He beginning to wonder if he was a jinx.

" Everyone heard me about the meeting right?" Wiliam asked the boys and girls in the common room. "At least I will be at the m eeting " William told everyone. " Willaim is not really used to all this silent treatment from his housemates. He knowa the real reason, but Willaim will jsut have to get over it.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?
'Ronnie?' Rose called back to her friend as she ran out of the room. 'RONNIE!' She shouted as she ran towards her. Her friend (hopefully) needed her. Dang, she'd lost her...

Nika nodded and listened to Raven carefully. She was starting to get a bit tired so she let out a small yawn and covered her mouth quickly so that it would look rude. "Yeah it's pretty much the same for me. Trying to get homework done, attending classes, and seeing friends. It's all the same." The homework bit was not any fun, but she may as well do it and get house points in the process.

Nika was a bit surprised by the way the cat reacted. When they were in the corridor the cat seemed to like Nika and even Thea had said it herself, but maybe the cat forgot her. She quickly drew her hand away and looked up at Thea. "Yeah, I would really like a puppy. I'm more of a dog person, but I love all animals really so I don't mind if I have to get a cat." Maybe if she could talk to Tate or something she'd be able to bring a small puppy next term. "I might just go and talk to Tate about it or something?" Maybe.

"Uh, Nika, was that you back on the first floor a few days ago?" the black Gryffindor asked tentatively, keeping his tone level. "Because if it was, it's okay." He paused. That didn't sound right. Nika could feel her face getting pinker. To the point where she was actually thinking about running away from Levi until the usual color came back. Now he's going to know for sure. Nika wasn't sure how she'd explain things. In her mind it wasn't necessarily her fault. She was just simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was actually going to go there because she told Levi she'd have herself and Nika meet up with him, but Nika should've just stayed in the common room. Maybe her plan was to stay the whole time in hiding after she made an excuse to leave, but still.... That's besides the point!
When she arrived she was late because the two were already their and Nika didn't have any where else to go. The only way to the common room was past them and Nika didn't want to go the other way and have to go throughout the whole castle. She'd probably just end up getting lost, she's only a second year after all and her sense of direction is awful. Nika rocked back and forth slowly as Levi opened his mouth to speak. Oh no... Oh no... Here it comes... Brace yourself... Don't run.... Stay calm.... Don't lie.... If needed stretch the truth, but don't lie.... He knows.... They both know.... Then he said it, well more like he asked it. Nika wanted to shout, "IT WAS ME!! IT WAS! YOU'RE RIGHT! I'M SORRY!" But she was able to manage a straight face as he continued. But that was just it. It wasn't okay! Levi was just being nice.
She opened her mouth slightly as though thinking of an excuse or something to say, but she didn't know how to word any sort of response. What could she say? She didn't want to say sorry and then make it extremely awkward, well because that would be awkward. Extremely awkward for the both of them. She looked down at her feet and paused again before saying anything, "I-I'm... I-It..." What was she supposed to say!? Was he expecting an apology or was he expecting her to admit that she did wrong? How was she supposed to word this!? She wanted to put the blame on the care taker, but that would only lead to bigger lies.
Here goes everything."I'm really, really sorry Levi and you've got to believe it. I didn't mean to see what I saw and I really didn't mean to ruin anything. I was going to leave, but the only way out would have resulted in being seen and I thought that would just make things worse. So I decided to stay until you two left and I really didn't mean it and I'm truly really really sorry and it's okay if you two want to hate me because I deserve it and I shouldn't have even showed up but I did because I wasn't even thinking and I was being a bloody pain and I really really am sorry for everything and if you want I can set something up for you two again and I won't even show up this time and I will make sure that it's completely private and I heard that Hogsmeade is open and maybe I can ask Samira, if she's even going to talk to me that is, to go and meet you in the three broomsticks or maybe you can even ask her and I just didn't want any of this to happen."And breathe.

After working out for Defense Against The Dark Arts, Jordan heard about an urgent announcement that was going on soon. "Urgent? Wonder how urgent. Hopefully nothing's bad has happened." Jordan thought to himself while reading his Book of Spells book.

"Oh. They've been supportive. We don't really get to talk about it much though. I have a little sister who doesn't know about magic... so they haven't been too involved since my first term." Which is why he was so glad to be lucky enough to have friends that were always there for him. There was a lot of times that he depended on them to help him out.
"With most of them, no. I expect we'll be friends forever." But with others, he wasn't so sure. Sometimes he wondered if it was proximity that kept some of his friends close. He'd find out soon enough though.
He chuckled. "Well... you could always look into getting a house elf..." he suggested. He wasn't sure what the process was behind that... or if they all knew how to cook. The ones he'd met though had been fantastic cooks.
He chuckled. "Oh, of course." he said. "I doubt I'd be doing anything that is remotely as exciting though." he said with a smile. As of right now he had no idea what his plans were at all. No, that's what this summer was for. He was going to check out a few quidditch teams. He also planned on making a trip to the Ministry to see if it appealed to him at all. He'd never been before and was rather excited.
Ari's grandma had been from Surrey, but after she got married all the family lived up in the north. 'Football, eh? All the muggleborns I know like football, even the girls.' Ariadne smiled, thinking it was probably as popular as Quidditch and wondering if her father had ever played.
'So your sister is not a witch then?' Ari thought how difficult that must be. She couldn't imagine having a non-magical sibling, who would possibly envy, or worse, fear her. It must've been pretty hard on Carter.
'That's good. My mum always said that the friendships you make at Hogwarts are the ones who last forever. I suppose it's true.' the young lioness commented.
'I don't know about that. I like house elves, but I'm sorry to see them working so hard. Everyone says it's in their nature to do so, but I don't know if I believe it or not.' Ari mused.
'I'm sure you'll do great. As a professional Quidditch player, perhaps, with lots of fans queueing for your autograph.' Ariadne smiled. She suddenly remembered she had to meet Gwen outside. 'I need to go, I'm meeting a friend in the courtyard, I hope to see you soon, it was nice meeting you.' the girl told Carter.

Levi waited for her to spill the beans, his face seemingly calm. He was taking this a lot better than he initially thought he would. Had this been a few days ago, he wasn't sure he would have been this patient with her the passage of time had mellowed him out considerably. He was never one to hold a grudge against anybody in generally, especially one of his friends. He extracted a couple sticks of gum from his robes, handed one to her serenely, and unwrapped his own as Nika continued talking. He never went anywhere without his gum and he heard it would do wonders for those who needed something to calm their nerves and boy, did Nika need it big-time.
Once she was finished, Levi gave her a small smile. "That was sure brave of you to admit it," he said kindly. "Don't worry, that's good you told the truth. I still you're trustworthy. It was an accident, after all and it was sort of my fault too. I should have told you I wanted to be alone with Samira but I felt bad for leaving you out. I didn't want you to feel, like...well, a third wheel or anything. It's all good now, though. Just promise you won't do anything like that again." He offered a hand, deciding it would good if she shook on it.
"Uh, as for Samira..." he said quietly. "I think I'm gonna ask her out myself but thanks for offering to do it. It'll look better if I see her in person. I don't want her to think I don't care one way or the other because I do..." He glanced down for a moment, feeling a little embarrassed. It didn't sound so mushy in his head.

Carter chuckled. "It's like the same for muggles as quidditch is here. There are some people that don't really care for it, but not many." Which would explain why she hadn't met any.
"No, she's not." She wasn't even his birth sister either. Which made the process of telling her a bit more complicated.
He smiled. "Yeah. Well, at least I hope so. It's hard to imagine life without certain people in it."
He laughed at this one. "That sounds like the life, doesn't it." A life he would have loved thinking about if it were last year. But now, with graduation being so close, it kind of scared him.
"It was nice meeting you too Ari." Carter said with a smile. "And don't forget. Anytime you need help, I'll be glad to help."

Nika let out a sigh of relief. It was as if a whole weight was lifted off her shoulders. It was nice knowing that he wasn't going to stay mad at her. If only Samira would be the same way when Nika went to talk to her. Of course the snake would probably be a little harder to talk to, but it would have to come to it eventually. Nika raised her eyebrows when Levi handed her the gum and she took it very reluctantly. "Thanks."
Nika listened to him as he talked a bit and Nika only nodded in agreement with it all. She didn't want to have to say anymore because it was already embarrassing enough. Then she saw that Levi outreached his hand to shake on their "agreement". "I, I promise." She brought out her hand and clutched Levi's and gave it a small shake. Hopefully that would do.
Then he talked about Samira and Nika's first thought was to run and tell the slytherin the good news. But suddenly she remembered what happened last time she meddled and decided against it. "Not going there again..." She looked at Levi and let out another long sigh. "It-it's been a long day." Well not really until she started to talk with Levi. "I think I'm gonna go up to the dormitories to get some rest." She started to walk towards the stairs slowly turning back to say a small, "See you around." She would have something along the lines of "It was nice talking to you" but that would probably make things a bit awkward considering what they were talking about.

Jordan heard William announce about the meeting. "Yeah, I heard about that. What do you suppose the meeting will be about?" Jordan asked William.
" Posibbly about the two professors who left in the middle of the school term" WEilliam told Jordan. " The meeting could be about how well Gryffindor is doing in the house cup" Willaim said to Jordan. " Honestly, I really do not know anything about the meeting" Willaim explained to Jordan.

'I don't know about the meeting, but it'll probably be, 'We're winning keep getting housepoints, or win the Quidditch match...' Rose said uncertain. She was worried they were gonna get told off!
