" Raven, I want you to come to the wedding" Rex told him. " I overheard you, but you might want to go so far in the back of class" Rex said to Raven. ' You seem very smart and would help Gryffindor a whole lot" Rex explained to Raven.

"We should go and get that butterbeer! Where do we get it Rex?"

"I don't like reading texts books too much either. But I always end up forgetting the information that we learned in class. I have to have just about the worst memory," she admitted.

"We get the butterbeer at The Leaky Cauldron" Rex told Nika. " It is not open at this time" Rex said to Nika.

Isla walked into the great hall and quickly walked over to her houses table. She was quite hungry so she quickly took a seat and put some food onto her plate and began to eat. She sighed happily as took a mouth full of food. She couldn't see any of her friends, only other Gryfindors who she hadn't had the chance to speak to. She quessed she would be eating alone today.

"Oh, when will it be open?" Nika wondered.

Nika turned and saw another fellow Gryffindor sit down at the table. She looked around Nika's age. "Hi, I don't think we have met before." she said to the girl. "I'm Nika, Nika Adler. I'm a first year."

"Well, hopefully it will open this week-end" Rex told Nika. " I will check if The Leaky Caulderon will be open sooner than this week-end" Rex said to Nika.

Selina's brain still ached from her late night studying for her test in Potions. She had been up all night in the dormitry trying her hardest to understand how to brew a mere five Potions. Yet, like everytime before, it was pointless. She was still in the same unknowing place she was before. Potions was so frusterating. It seemed like every other class was an "O" for her, but Potions was a solid "T". It was unfair.

She plobbed her butt down on her chair and hugged her robe close to her body for warmth and also to hid her very worn appearance. She was, for lack of a better term, exhausted.

Isla blushed and swallowed the food in her mouth. "Hi. I'm Isla, Isla Williams." She smiled. " I'm in first year too. Uhm... So are you enjoying being here? At Hogwarts I mean." she said trying to make conversation.

" You seem very tired" Rex told Selina. Classes get you tired?" Rex asked Selina. " They do seem hard this time" Rex said to Selina.

Selina pulled her head up to meet the eyes of Rex. He seemed to be in a good mood, his energy was too much for her. She mumbled, "Eh- too tired to communicate. And yes, very," she yawned, "very rough."

" I think you need some sleep" Rex told Selina. " You should go to the girls dorm" Rex said to Selina. You could eat and get your strength back" Rex explained to Selina.

Selina shook her head no, "I have Lafay. I just need to perk up with...". But her words were cut off with a long yawn.

"Oh, Okay. Let me know if it is!" She really wanted to go. Any place by the name Leaky Cauldron was bound to be fun!

"Isla" She repeated, "What an interesting name. Isla. It's very pretty!" Isla. OH! Another firstie! "Really your a firstie too!" Nika smiled. She was very excited. She hasn't met many other firsties in Gryffindor yet and she really wanted to make some more friends. She would be with everyone her age for seven years, so it's a good idea to make friends with as many of them as you can. "Yeah, I love it here! It's a lot cooler than my old school! How do you like it here?"

" Oh lafay tired you out" Rex told Selina, " Get to bed" Rex said to Selina. " You need a lot of sleep" Rex smiled.

" I promise to let you know immediately" Rex told Nika. " I can't wait to have some butterbeer, too" Rexsaid to Nika. " Shall we dig in and rat?" Rex asked Nika.

Selina could feel her eye's beginning to drag down and close. She had to fight it. In thirty minutes she had to be in Potions for Lafay's test. No way could she afford to skip out on her exam. The Professor was already not fond of Selina because of her inability to perform well in her class.

"I have an," cue yawn, "exam today. I need to at least get through that..."

"We shall dig in!" Nika replied.

Raven smile to Rex, he didn't want to become a liability in Rex wedding, and sure thing he is like back to his home town that time. "well, then, I thank you, for that sense, but I have some business too to finish..." Raven say to Rex.

"No wonder at that, we both gryff, we are instinct-ish, but if we need the help of written fact, we also do books" hehe

" Well, get through the exam today" Rex told Slina. " Then promise me you will get some needed rest" Rex said to Selina.

" I agree, lets dig in" Rex laughed. There is steak, a baked potato, string beans and he snuck in a cola," This is good" Rex said to Nika.

" Ok, well, thanks for telling me about your business" Rex told Raven." I will miss you at the wedding" Rex said to Raven.

"Well, I'm from Scotland and I guess it's a Scottish name." She said awkwardly. "Yeah, I'm a first year. I really like it here, it's like nothing I've ever seen before.." he said looking around the great hall. She had never knew about any of this until she got her letter from Hogwarts, It was such and awesome surprise. "What do you mean your other school?"

Rowan entered The Great Hall and discovered that Rex had already arrived. Good, she thought to herself. It would have been awkward to sit at the Gryffindor table first. She walked over to Rex and sat down across the table from him. "Hi," she said. "You must really be hungry. You got here really quickly," she laughed.

Nika grabbed some of the potato. "I think I'm going to gain a lot of weight this year." she said as she looked down at her plate full of food. "I don't think I have ever eaten this much in my life!"

"Well I'm not... Well I wasn't... I didn't know... I am a...." Nika struggled trying to think of the correct way of phrasing this. I thought I was normal? No then it would sound like wizards aren't normal and I don't want to say that. I was raised by regular people? That sounds odd. Err... What was the word for it again? Nika was trying to sort out her thoughts in the best way as possible. "What I mean to say is... Oh Yeah! Muggles! They are called muggles!! "I live with a muggle family and so the school I went to before wasn't at all magical in anyway. So it's a lot better here!" plus I have friends here. Nika thought about it for a moment and a question had formed in her mind. Do wizards go to normal schools before they go to Hogwarts? Hmmm...

"Seriously? Thats so freaky. My parents are muggles too!" Isla said, happy that she had somthing in commen with Nika. "My cousin, Aria, came here too but my parents didn't tell me incase I turned out to be 'normal' as they called it. But its so much cooler being here and being a ... Witch." She was still getting used to saying the word it still sounded so strange. "And Diagon alley as well is just out of this world. How did your parents react to you getting your letter?" She asked hoping she wasn't being too nosey.

"I agree Diagon Alley is really amazing too!" Nika was truthfully in awe when she first saw the place. Taking a deep breath Nika explained her parent's reactions, "Well... Let's just say we were all very surprised. An owl delivered it and it was during the day. My mom thought the owl must have some sort of disease or something. They were freaking out a bit truthfully." Nika had never expected she would end up being a witch, but she is so glad that things turned out the way they did."So, what do you think of the classes so far?"

"I think there great." Isla told her smiling. "It is a little hard to keep up with them and the home work but I'm starting to get the hang of everything." she said. "So what's your favourite thing about being a witch?"

"I agree it's hard keeping up! The professors don't hold back on the homework." she returned Isla's smile. "Hmm well so far my favorite thing would defiantly have to be the magic because there is no limit of what it can do!" Nika loved being a witch, it was a lot more fun than being a muggle. "What's your favorite part?"
