Sorry, Professor," she said quietly. Pointing her wand at the bowl, she said, "Accio Egg Shells," over and over until she was sure all the pieces of the egg shell were out of the bowl. "I... suppose I should go get another egg, then," she said in her quiet voice. Her spirit was now being smothered by her embarrassment as she ran back to the room with all the ingredients and grabbed another egg. When she returned, she handed it to Torin. "Maybe you should do the eggs, Nirot," she said with the tiniest of smiles. "I'll put in the special ingredient."
And with that, she grabbed her rainbow sprinkles and began adding them to the slowly stirring batter.
He burst into laughter as she teacher came over and talked to her.
"Smooth move, Cadence." He smiled at her. But he wasn't trying to be mean to her or anything. He was just having fun.
He waited for her to remove the egg shells from the bowl, and grabbed another two eggs. Cracking them carefully, he worked to separate each one from the yolk and poured the whites into the bowl.
Although her eyes were glues to the eggs, her eare picked up every word that Santi was saying. The motion and incantation was easy enough, it was the whole concentration thing that she knew would stump her. Focusing on one object at a time wasn't really her strong suit. When he layed his hand out flat, the egg tilted to the center and layed still. And that's when a whirlwind of thoughts started to run through her mind.
Focus on the egg, picture the egg....the white egg....lying still, not dancing.....dancing egg.....crazy egg.....crazy dancing egg.....crazy dancing cracked egg.....humpty dumpty. Arya grinned at her thoughts and tried to flush them from her mind as she pointed her wand at the egg. "Accio egg." It didn't move, but her head did, tilted to the side it did.
She didn't expect the egg to move on the first try, still she was slightly dissapointed. Pausing for a moment, she tried again pointing her wand at humpty dumpty the egg. "Accio egg." The egg still didn't budge and she sighed softly. "I guess I'll have to practice more.....after class."
OOC: I don't want her to be successful with this just yet, so we can just keep on with the baking. Maybe meet up latter if he still wants to help her.XD
"Ah well, that's okay, it was good to try. At least you know what to do to learn it. That's always the first step. So!" he said sweeping up the whisk before moving forward and cracking the last two eggs, putting them in. "Now we have to whisk it," he held it out for her. "Then we can add vanilla and the two other mixtures, and mix those. Then we're pretty much done."

OOC: Fine by him.
Taking the wisk, she watched as he cracked the last two eggs with ease. Whisk it, that was the same as mixing the ingredents right? It had to be, she knew that cooks had all these fancy words for mundane task. Placing the whisk in the bowl, she stirred her wand clockwise and a normal pace and said, "Locomotor whisk." The whiske began to follow the movement of her wand so she turned her body to Santi while her eyes were on the table. "So what's the vanilla?"

Selena wanted to see what happened. Maybe the whole room would catch on fire? That would be bad, really bad. But Selena grinned anyways. "Here's the ingredients, shall we split it?" Selena asked as she showed him the ingredients.
There was quite a bit of ingredients. All she hoped was that the oven wouldn't explode. Knowing her, it might. Selena looked up and saw the blue canaries. "They look so cute," Selena giggled as she looked at them circling his head.
He nodded. This did look like a lot of stuff, but he was up for it. "Yeah we can split this stuff up." he turned around and started looking for some of the ingredients. He giggled along with Selena. The canaries were really cute and funny, "They will go away in a few minutes I hope," but they kept tweeting around his head. He didn't mind though.

Lexi just sort of half-smiled, half-laughed softly at Dillon. She was glad to see he was okay, but at the same time, his reactions while coming out of his knocked out state were amusing. "I'm glad you're alright then. Let me know if you start feeling a little funny," she said. When both Dillon and the Crumb Girl partnered up for the baking, Lexi turned and walked in the opposite direction.
"Oh, yes, definitely," she said, nodding her head. "Go ahead and work through the entire process." Lexi had been so busy with Dillon that she hadn't thought to make sure her directions had been clear. She glanced around the room to see if maybe anyone else looked like they had a question.
Lexi eyed the Hufflepuff girl as she thought about the answer to her question. Hmm...students adding their own ingredients could be...well, dangerous. Tate would surely not approve if Lexi unintentionally allowed a student to burn the place down. Then again, it wasn't like the girl could add anything too terrible, right? "Hmm...go on ahead. Besides, I'm interested to see what you'll come up with," she answered. Lexi just...wouldn't look as the girl worked. She just couldn't bare to watch just in case disaster was about to strike.

He nodded meekly at her trying to remember to breath before he passed out and they really made him go to the hospital wing. "Ye..ok." he squeaked out. He wasn't sure if that was English but hopefully she would know what he meant, because he sure as Merlin didn't.

Alex sighed she needed to clean up and unfortately she didn't know the cleaning charm.. She knew it started with an S..maybe Siggerly? hmm.. Santi smiled at her question, almost laughing, but refraining. What's the vanilla? He picked up the bottle from the counter. "Have you ever had vanilla ice cream or white cake? It's flavour comes from this which has been derived from an orchid," he held up the bottle to his eye level.
"Wingardium leviosa," he swished and flicked his wand at the tablespoon, the levitate it in midair. "Fixate," he tapped it. before pouring the vanilla extract in. He held the measuring spoon in his hand and tapped it with the other, "Finite," and poured it in as it was still whisking.
Pointing them out in turn, he said, "Now you can add the cocoa mixture, and when that's blended, add the flour mixture. After that's all mixed, you can pour it into the lined cups filling approximately 3/4 of the cups," he indicated the muffin trays which he had lined with cups, "and put it in the oven for 20 minutes or so. "Oh, thanks," Selena said as she looked at the recipe.
Quote:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or paper-line 16 muffin cups.
2. Microwave 1/2 cup morsels in small, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 45 seconds; stir. Microwave an additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth; cool to room temperature.
3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
4. Beat sugar, oil, egg and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until blended. Beat in melted chocolate; gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with water (batter will be thin).
5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt in small mixer bowl until creamy. Stir in 1 cup morsels.
6. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling 1/2 full. Spoon filling by rounded tablespoon over batter. Spoon remaining batter over filling.
7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. While still hot, sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup morsels. Let cool for 5 minutes or until morsels are shiny; spread to frost. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Selena turned on the oven correctly. "I surprisingly did that without making it blowing up," Selena said solemnly, "it is a new accomplishment," Selena smiled. She looked at the next step. "I don't think we have a microwave here," Selena pointed out.

"Ugh. Well, you get the eggs and cream of tarter. I'll get the sugar and salt." Since, sugar and salt look exactly alike, they'd have to be in the same spot right? She didn't want to have to go an a giant scavenger hunt the entire lesson.
It was too bad they didn't have music playing in the background while they cooked. That would have made it more fun.
Now that Destiny knew what she needed, she just had to find it. She knew what eggs looked liked, so they would be no problem to find. The cream of tarter on the other hand, she had NO idea what that looked like. It sounded like something a fish would eat, and Destiny was no fish. Only in the bath tub did she pretend to be one.
"The eggs are over there." she said pointing to the ginormous stack of eggs before walking over to them. She was not going to carry twelve individual eggs, so she just grabbed a container, one that had twelve in there, and walked back to Evelyn. She quickly checked to make sure none of the eggs were broken and lucky enough, none were. "Eggs, check!"
Now to find that blasted cream of tarter. Placing the container of eggs on an empty counter, Destiny quickly glared at everyone in the class telling them not to touch her eggs. Pfft, they can get their own, they were only right there. After she was sure the class got her message, she turned back to the ingredients and started rummaging for this fish foody sounding..thing. "Not it. Nope. No." she said, picking up all different kinds of spices and whatnot. None of which was what she was looking for. "Maybe we can skip the tartar stuff?" she asked Evelyn, as she was still picking up random ingredients. Evelyn had baked all during the summer, so maybe, just maybe she would know if they could skip that.
Picking up the littlest jar she saw on the counter, she shook her head at the question she had just asked. "Nevermind. I found it!"
Cream of tartar--check! Now Evelyn just needed the salt and sugar and they can start on their CUPCAKES!

Really, how hard was it to find the sugar and salt? Destiny, from the looks of it, had already found the eggs. Hmph.
With her hands on her hips, she looked at EVERYTHING at her eye level, but still had found no sugar or salt. Or even stuff that looked liked sugar or salt. Seriously, they could not make these cupcakes without sugar!! They may be able to do without the salt, but, non-sweet cupcakes? That was like, unheard of!
Looking over at Destiny again, when she asked a...rather jaw dropping question, the Slytherin was just about to answer when she was cut off. Oh good, so Destiny did find the cream of tartar. Of course they couldn't skip that ingredient! Evelyn had no clue as to what it was, but it probably would be like if they didn't add sugar in the cupcake. Disgusting.
Now, back to finding the impossible sugar and sal- Oh. There they were! Well, there was one of them. Except, it was out of arms reach. Darn it! One of these days, she was going to have a growth spurt and wouldn't have to deal with this shortness. Grabbing a chair, she slid it over and quickly checked to make sure the teacher wasn't looking before standing on it and grabbing the sugar. Well, what do you know?! The salt was there too!
WOOT! "Got them." she said, stepping back down from the chair and turning to face her friend, holding both the sugar and salt. Eh, she'll just leave the chair there. Someone else might need it.
"Hey, I'm Kel," Kel whispered to the girl that had just joined him. He shook her hand, looking over his shoulder, hoping the professor wasn't looking. But really, he had to introduce himself, since the Rae had introduced herself to him first. But! Now to look busy and good-student-like. He gave Rae a small smile before standing up behind his desk.
"The charm would be helpful so you could, um...multi-task?" he suggested, raising his hand. "I mean, the spoon could mix the batter and stuff, while you went and did something else."
Now, for the magic. He eyed the bowl in front of him for a minute before going for the spell. Wingardium Leviosa was an easy enough spell, it was getting the spoon's speed right Kel was a bit iffy about. Well, might as well start now. "Wingardium Leviosa." he muttered, swishing and flicking his wand at his bowl. He watched as it rose to about a foot above the table, and said "Fixate." His eyes widened in dismay as it continued to rise. He quickly checked the chalkboard, and sighed. "Fixate." he said again, this time tapping the side of the bowl. Tada! It worked.
Now, for the spoon. He started moving his wand around in a circle, at a speed that he thought would be good for the spoon. "Locomoto spoon." he said, nodding to himself. He smiled as he watched the spoon start going in a circle. Looking around, though, he realized that it was going slower than the other spoons. With another sigh, he tried again.

Not only for being brave enough to ask that question in front of the whole class, but for knowing what other things it could be useful for. He knew more about cooking than he'd thought.
With the question off of his mind, he returned his attention to the bowl and spoon in front of him. "Finite." he said, holding his left arm underneath the bowl, ready to catch it. It fell, hitting his arm, and slipped onto the desk with a clatter. Groaning, he set the bowl right-side-up, and put the spoon back in it.

Of course with washing dishes, there was a way to charm the dishes to put themselves away once they were clean, but that would be another day and another time. "Good thinking..."
Heaven...Lexi sort of wanted to answer that with a yes, but only because there were cupcakes being baked. She studied the Greenwood for a minute, trying to decide if he was alright or not. He seemed okay...if he could ask about being in heaven and all. "Are you alright, Mr. Greenwood? Do you need the healer?" she asked. Seeing that Dillon seemed to be alright, Lexi decided to go ahead and get the rest of the class started on the baking process while she tended to Dillon.
Lexi levitated a stack of Enchantments in Baking around the room. "When the books pass you by, please grab a copy and turn to page 317. This is where you'll find several cupcake recipes. Find a partner or a small group to work with---or work alone if you'd prefer, and between or among yourselves, decide which type of cupcakes you'd like to bake," she explained.
She took her wand and motioned towards the back of the room. "All the ingredients and equipment you'll need are in the back of the room. You can go ahead and get started when you're ready, but remember, I want to see you making use of the combination of charms we've just practiced. If you need me for anything, I'll be circulating the room," she said. She waved her free hand in the direction of the ingredients and equipment, encouraging the students to go ahead and get started.
OOC: The cupcake recipes I linked you to are just suggestions. If you can find a different recipe online that you'd rather use, feel free to go ahead and do so. Just remember to use the charm for full credit. Just prepare/bake as you normally would and incorporate the charms when you need to stir. Also, the lesson won't start to wrap up anytime soon (to allow all timezones a change to participate), so take your time baking your cupcakes and using the charm. For full credit, it should take you more than a few posts to roleplay baking your cupcakes.
If you're trying to catch up and see what we've been doing, there are links in the first post. Have fun!
Rae turned to Kel after the instructions and everything had started. "Hey so, im pretty okay with charms, but i hope you know how to bake. Because even with magic im sure i'll fail." Now she had met enough people to where she was now more confident about talking.

"Hey" Nymphy said, walking over. I didn't see you were here! Can I join you guys?" he asked.
Willow gathered all of her ingredients for the cupcakes and brought them back to her station. She practiced saying the Wingardium Leviosa charm several times because she had trouble saying it properly.
Willow took a deep sigh pointed her wand at the bowl with her spoon in it and said "Wingardium Leviosa." The bowl hovered for a moment, then dropped back onto the table with a thump. Hmmm she thought to herself I don't think my wand movement is proper. She readied her wand once more, gave it a swish and a flick while chanting "Wingardium Leviosa." The bowl hovered in the air again and she said "fixate" to keep it from falling a second time.
Next, she pointed her wand at the spoon and turned it clockwise with the incantation "Locamotor spoon." The spoon wiggled for a moment and stopped. Willow pointed her wand at the spoon again a little irritated, turned it clockwise and said clearer this time "Locomotor spoon." The spoon began to turn at a decent speed counter clockwise.
"Finally, now I can start baking red velvet cupcakes! Wingardium Leviosa" she said pointing at the flower. She slowly and carefully moved to the measuring cup pouring approximately 2 and a half cups. She looked to be a tad over with some flower getting on the table. She would have to practice that a little more. After setting the flour back down with a little plop, she once again said "Wingardium Leviosa" to the measuring cup and dumped it into the bowl.
She continued this process with the Wingardium Leviosa charm while swishing and flicking her wand with the sugar, cocoa, backing powder and soda, and salt. The still moving spoon began to mix up the dry ingredients. Willow was still a little messy with levitating the ingredients, but was doing so none the less regardless of how some of the ingredients were not fully getting in the bowl.

"Finite"
With a flick of this wand his wooden spoon stop dead in its tracks and just in time, Patroclus reached out to catch his falling bowl. As the book came round, he perused the choices in the bock but rather one of his mothers homemade recipes; Chocolate and Cherry Cupcakes.
He saw others around him partnering off and hoped to find someone without a partner, but for now he would just get started, but there was one question that had yet to be answered.
"Excuse Me, Professor, just a quick question. With most recipes the first step is to pre-heat the oven. Will we be doing so or will we be using a charm to bake our cupcakes." He smiled at the Professor, he knew it was very important to have the oven hot by the time the batter was done, so he though it best to ask.
Put the spoon in the mixing bowl.
Direct your wand to the bowl. Swish and flick then say "Wingardium Leviosa."
When the mixing bowl is about a foot or so in the air, tap your wand against its side and say, "Fixate."
Point your wand at the spoon, then turn your wand in the direction you want the spoon to go in and at the speed you want the spoon to go in. Then say, "Locomotor spoon."
The mixing bowl and spoon will continue to work their magic until you point your wand at both and use finite.
Sophia placed the spoon in the mixing bowl. With her wand out, she took a deep breath, whispered the spell Wingardium Leviosa a lot of times, and then finally directed her wand to the bowl. Swish and flick.. Swish and flick.. Swish...she did it. Then flick...swish and flick. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she said and the bowl rose. Sophia was nervous, it was her first time levitate something. Though the bowl is not yet a foot away from the table, Sophia tapped her wand against the side and said, "Fixate!" It took a few seconds for Sophia to realize that she forgot about the 1 foot thing. Uh-oh. "Uhh, Professor, what will I do if it's not yet a foot away from the table? Can I just bring it back to the table with my hands?" Sophia asked the Professor.

Sidney finds an apron that fits her perfectly. White is fine with her. Sidney's grandmother Quinlivan prefers her to wear white. Something about being able to bleach the cake batter stains out easier with a white apron. Sidney is happy wizards don't have to use bleach to get their clothes clean. The stuff irritates her nose.
Sidney sees the bowls and accios one over to her. Amazingly the spell works the first time. She's on a roll she hopes. Let's see. I perform the Wingardium Leviosa Charm to raise the bowl up, then I tap it with my wand and use the Fixate Charm. That will keep at the height I want. Sounds easy enough. Sidney places the bowl on the table and points her wand at it. She swishes and then flicks her wand at the bowl and says, "Wingardium Leviosa!" The bowl floats off the table. Unfortunately it floats a little too fast. It's over Sidney's head before she can perform the Fixate charm. Sidney points her wand in the air directly below her bowl. "Accio Bowl!" The bowl flies back to her. She grabs it. Concentrate Sid, concentrate. You've got to focus on what your doing okay? Sidney tries again. She swishes and flicks her wand again and say, "Wingardium Leviosa! but slowly this time please." The bowl starts floating again. When it reaches the height Sidney needs (which isn't very high), She taps the side of the bowl with her wand and says: "Fixate!" The bowl stays in place for a few minutes just long enough for Sidney to turn her attention to getting a wooden spoon. Then she hears a crash. The bowl has fallen to the ground and broken. Sidney does not let this setback ruin her class. She gets another bowl and starts over again. This time things work perfectly.
With her bowl where she wants it to be, Sidney starts on learning how to make the spoon move. She accios a wooden spoon and places it in the bowl. Sidney checks her notes. I need to perform the Locomotor Charm on the spoon to make it move. I think we're going to use the spoon to mix the ingredients in the same way muggles use a hand or electric mixer. I knew I should have practiced cooking with mom or Grandma Marlowe. I only know how to cook the muggle way. Okay, stay calm. You can do this. Sidney points her wand at the spoon, says "Locomotor spoon! and moves her wand in a clockwise direction. The spoon moves in the same direction as the spoon. Unfortunately, Sidney gets a little too aggressive with her wand movement. The spoon flies out of the bowl. She looks around to make sure no one was hit by it. Sidney then accios her spoon back to her (She is really getting a lot of practice using the accio spell in this class.). Sidney tries again and again until she gets it right. Practice makes perfect. When the cook books go by, she grabs one. Now that she's confident she can try this with the ingredients, Sidney finds herself a cupcake recipe.

Snickering at the sight of Evelyn grabbing a chair to climb upon, Destiny lent against the counter and re-counted the eggs in the container. She didn't want to leave without the right amount, and then have to travel all the way back here for one lousy egg! Yup, there were twelve eggs, the exact amount they needed. That's what she thought she read. Maybe she should take a few extra, juuuust in case.
As Evelyn continued to climb, Destiny grabbed a few more eggs, but seeing as the container was already full, she had nowhere to put them. Pockets! That's what they were there for; to carry things. Shoving three eggs in each pocket, she nodded at her friend as she finally climbed off the chair with the sugar and salt in hand. Huzzah! Now they could get to baking! "Back to our table we go!" she said, picking up her ingredients and walking back to thier table.
Once back, she placed the container of eggs and cream of tartar on the table right next to the abusive flour. She ran a finger over the book, reading what the first step was. Preheating the oven..well, they could skip that part..for now at least. "Place egg whites in a LARGE mixing bowl and beat at high speed." she read aloud so Evelyn knew what was to be done. "Do you want to do this part, or should I?"
Destiny hoped Evelyn would say she would, for she wanted to see her friend break an egg.

Hermione was trying to decide what type of cupcakes she should make, and finally decided on vanilla cupcakes with strawberry icing, she was never much of a chocolate kinda of girl. She added the basic cake ingredients to the bowl and took out her wand. She did the swish and flick motion and said "Wingardium Leviosa" to make the bowl rise. When it was the correct height, she tapped the bowl with her wand and said "Fixate". So far so good she thought. The final step was to stir it so Hermione said "Accio Mixing Spoon" which came flying into her hand. Finally she took her wand and said "Locomotor Spoon" which successfully made the spoon start to the stir the batter. Hermione thought she had a good start, and continued to stir the batter.
Sidney looks at the cupcake page. She decides to make some Red Velvet cupcakes.

Red Velvet Cupcake Recipe
Red velvet cupcakes are a big hit at any holiday party and especially at Valentine's Day parties. Kids even love them without frosting. A traditional cream cheese frosting tastes absolutely incredible on these cupcakes, but feel free to experiment and find a perfect frosting and cupcake combination just for you.
Ingredients
• 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup baking cocoa (powdered)
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 sticks butter at room temperature
• 5 large eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk (see note at bottom)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon red food coloring
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl. Sift dry ingredients three times.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy Add eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each egg.
Add 1/4 of dry ingredients to creamed mixture then approximately 1/4 of buttermilk alternating until mixed well. Mix in vanilla and food coloring.
Fill lined cupcake pans 1/2 full of red velvet batter. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool cupcakes in pans for 5 to 10 minutes then remove from pans. Cool completely on wire racks before frosting.
NOTE: If you don't happen to have buttermilk on hand you can try this simple substitution. Place one tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar in an empty one cup measuring cup. Fill with milk to 1 cup. Let stand for 5 minutes then use in any cake recipe that calls for buttermilk.
Sidney reads the recipe carefully. She then gathers up the ingredients she will need and places them on an empty spot at a table. Sidney also accios measuring spoons, a two cup measuring cup, and another mixing bowl. The recipe says I need to sift the dry ingredients together three time. I know Grandma Quinlivan uses a sieve to sift her dry ingredients. I guess I would use the same thing. Sidney accios a large sieve to her. She then fixes another mixing bowl, so it floats properly in the air. Sidney levitates the sieve above the bowl and then measures and pours the dry ingredients in the sieve. How do I sift the ingredients using magic? Grandma always just shakes the sieve from side to side. I guess I could use the Locomotor charm to do that. Sidney points her wand at the sieve and says "Locomotor Sieve!" She then slowly moves her sieve from side to side. Everything is going fine until Sidney decides it's taking too long. She speeds things up with disasterous results. The sieve moves too fast and flower, cocoa powder, and everything else starts flying everywhere. "Professor, help!!"

Mina frowned slightly, it appeared she would just have to make the cupcakes alone again. Shrugging it off, she took her list and made her way back to gather all the things she needed.
Quote:
• cake flour
• sugar
• cream of tartar
• salt
• large eggs, separated
• lemon juice
• almond extract
• cupcake pan
• cupcake liners
• small bowl
• measuring cups and spoons
• whisk
Standing in front off all the equipment, she started to gather her needed tools. Most of them were just within reach, basically at eye-level. Cupcake pan...check. Liners...check. Small bowl...check. Now she just needed some measuring cups and spoons, plus a whisk. Craning her neck slightly, she got on her tippy toes and looked a bit higher for the last few tools. They had to be there somewhere.
Looking up a little higher, she spied them. They would have to be up there, wouldn't they? Shaking her head, she quickly looked around for something to possible stand on, maybe a step stool or something. Yes, a step stool would be good, but none were in sight. Not letting it get her down, she returned to her workstation and set the tools down she already had and grabbed her wand.
Walking back over to where the equipment was again, she swished and flicked in the direction of the whisk first. Wingardium Leviosa Slowly, the whisk started to levitate from its place. Moving just below it, she cast Finite Incantatem. Safely catching the whisk, she swished and flicked at the measuring cups and spoons, repeating Wingardium Leviosa on them as well as Finite Incantatem. After safely obtaining the last tools, she returned to her workstation again.
Tools need...check.
Now she just needed to get the ingredients and she could get started.

Following Destiny, she set down the sugar and salt next to all the other ingredients before leaning against the table, listening to the instructions that Destiny was reading. Egg whites. She'd never done that before.
Having witnessed the rather awkward and hilarious situation that the other girl did, by putting the egg shells into the mix, Evelyn figured that THAT wasn't the way to do it since, the girl obviously had been corrected by the professor. That didn't make separating the egg any easier though. "Umm, hmmm..." Tough choice. Either, she could learn now how to separate the egg whites from the egg and look like an idiot, or take the easy way out. "How 'bout you do the egg whites while I measure everything else out."
Yesh! Destiny was probably better at it than she was anyways. "That way we can get done faster." Because obviously, it would take her the whole class period to do 12 eggs. Eesh.
Really not wanting to be stuck with that horrible task, she moved anyways to find a measuring cup. Mwaha!
Have fun!
Aileen browsed the book and when she found page 317, she thoughtfully looked at the recipies. Hm, this one looks good.

Pam had been browsing through the book and couldn't decide which cupcakes to make. They all looked so good. She looked around and saw that many people had already decided on their recipes and some had even started. She immediately turned back to the book to choose a recipe. She decided on Applesauce Cupcakes. This was the recipe:
Quote:
• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 cup finely chopped, peeled apple (I prefer to use Granny Smith or Jonagold apples for baking)
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 cups applesauce
• 1/2 cup melted butter
Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, butter, and applesauce. Mix for 2 minutes at slow speed. Scrape bowl. Mix at medium speed for 1 minute. Scrape bowl, and stir in chopped apples and walnuts.
Your oven should be preheated to 350 degrees. spoon cupcake batter into cupcake pans lined with paper or foil cupcake liners. You should fill each cup approximately 1/2 to 2/3 full making sure you have the same amount of batter in each cup.
Bake your cupcakes for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the applesauce cupcakes from the pan, and cool completely on a wire rack.
Top with caramel topping or frosting and enjoy!

Renée was still sitting in the classroom, watching everyone answer amazing, mysterious questions. Renée loved cooking with her mom at home, but cooking with magic was going to be delightful!
