Satine felt a tapping on her shoulder and turned to see a very handsome face. She focused in on his eyes and smiled extending her hand as well. As she answered she noticed how soft his hand was. "Howzit! I'm Satine....third year....and thanks...the purple hair is kind of like a signature and of course my favorite color." she said with a wink.
"America! That's my favorite place to visit. My aunt and I go every year and I actually grew up there before my mom and dad transferred her three years back....what part are you from?" she said with her usual smile. This was a great way to get things started with a connection...two points for Satine.
"Niiiice," Tyler smiled. "Unique hair and a unique name, goes pretty well," he smirked. He did like her hair, a lot. If only he had a different color hair other then balck. But on the plus side, he could style it either way he wanted. It was what made him happy sometimes. Another US person! Yay! Tyler got all excited inside. "I'm from New York. I used to live in Spain but I moved when I was five," he tapped his chin with his index finger. Hmm, what esle? "I got sent back to Europe because I got kicked out of school. Yet my parents stayed in New York,"

"Oh hi Keeley," said Bella. She hadn't noticed her apearence being there since she was so much into her book. "Sorry I skiped so fast, this book is real good," said Bella wile looking at Keeley's leg warmers.
"Say where did you get thoughs?" asked Bella wile pointing to Keeley's legwarmers. Bella loved legwarmers- well she had only own 1, or was it 2, pairs in her life, but they were nice and warm- and Keeley's were really pretty.
Keeley glanced at Bella, who had finally took her nose out of her book. Yesh!! Someone to talk to! "It's okay, and I really love our books too. The landscaping is so beautiful in Canada." Plucking at her fluffy white legwarmers, she tried to remember where she had gotten them. "I honestly don't remember. Maybe in some second hand shop."

"Yes Emily's books that she gave us are really good, I wish I could visit canada sometime," said Bella. "Wait, a second hand shop? But they look brand new?" questioned Bella.
"I'm thinking of what I can get for emily now since she gave us these wonderful gifts," said Bella still remembering the sweet taste of the sryup.
The boy looked scared. She didn't want to frighten him. Or did she? Something to think about. With mischief in her mind Allison reached really slowly into her robes and just as slowly retrieved her wand.
Then carefully she pointed it at him. What a dummy, she thought. He didn't have any candy? She didn't need any candy. It seemed the boy hadn't heard about the Scotts marriage into the Ferreros. Better for her. The Ferreros provided Allison with so much chocolate, she was never found without any.
In her small cute voice Allison smiled at him, while still threateningly pointing her wand at him, "Wingardium Leviosa."
Suddenly a small paper plane flew from underneath the table and rose expectantly in front of her. Just as quickly Allison directed the paper towards the Hufflepuff table where it hit Arya behind the head.
Allison then gave the boy an evil grin. Oh she had him in her pocket. Hee hee hee.
Spawn of the Devil, this kid was. Yes, yes, Ian was aaaaall familiar with the cute little looks and smiles little brats took when they had something highly dangerous and that would get him in trouble (and he would get blamed for it, undoubtedly) inside their pesky little heads.
Flinching on his seat and losing all the colour of his face, which only made his freckles stand out more than they had any right to, Ian gulped loudly and nervously ran a hand through his thick and untamed brown hair at the sight of a wand being pointed AT him.
"I'm pretty sure you are not supposed to do that, kid." Nope, nope, nope.
PLUS what a RUDE little brat (there was something wrong about that phrase, was it not? Hmmm). Kids these days had NOOOOOO respect for their elders, clearly.
So, gathering all the courage he had (which was not much, admittedly) Ian frowned at the girl.

She needed to confide in Dal and see what she thought of everything. "I bet a galleon, we'll be here a while though. I mean with everything that did go down last year." she explained. "Don't you want to know who the new Headmaster is and who is going to teach History of Magic? I was really starting to love that class but I don't know if I'll enjoy it as much with Professor Truebridge gone." she pouted a little. She liked him and his teaching style. She always did enjoy her time in lessons. Giving her friend another shrug, she turned to Rex.

Starr and Katalin" Rex explained to Mina. " You adored Jason in a friendly way or?" Rex teased her.
" You are a real social butterfly" he told Mina. " Kay is my girlfriend and she is in HufflePuff." he said to her.
Mina nodded as she listened to him as her full attention was now his. "Well, I think I know Kay then. We had lessons together first year. I like her. She's really nice." she smiled as she did remember Kay from last year. They hadn't been officially introduced but she was a nice girl and Rex deserved a nice girl. "I was supposed to visit Jason this summer, but things came up. I'll have to owl him and tell him about some things." she nodded. Jason would be another person she could confide in about some changes she needed to make in her life. She was pretty sure, he knew about her crush on his former classmate and would listen. She just needed a boy to listen to her and tell her it would be alright in the end.
Yes, you said adore. Stupid voices again, laughing at her. Shaking her head, she nodded to Rex. "Of course, I adore him. He's like a big brother to me and he's with Victoria. They are cute together." she laughed softly. She had the feeling everyone thought she had a crush on Jason, but that was the wrong Gryffindor all together. "I've actually given up on adoring any Gryffindor in a way other than friends." she said firmly. "Friendly admiration and nothing else, because I have a feeling if I adore anyone in a matter other than a friend, I'll just find myself broken hearted." she added. It wasn't really her idea, but her cousin's. It sounded like a good plan though, didn't it.
"Social butterfly?" she laughed and shook her head. "I wish I really was one, you know how shy I really am." she added before turning to talk the another new person. Maybe she was a bit of a social butterfly, or at least she was trying to be one now.

"Thanks?" Hmmm. Ian was not sure what to make of this girl - she was a little one, probably around Morgan's age or something. Little girls were unpredictable and dangerous. And clingy. Never good good things, in his opinion. "I mean - thank you, Mina. I'm ... " Ian considered giving the girl his actual name for a second, but then changed his mind. Twelve year olds WERE phsycos sometimes. "I'm Colby. Colby McKensie." Heh. Well, at least Colby was real. "And have you seen some wordy little Jarvey around? I think he got lost." Another concern of his. And no, No Name Jarvey hadn't gotten lost - IAN had lost it.
Mina listened to the question and shook her head. "Well, I don't believe I've seen a Jarvey, but I'll be sure to keep any eye out for it." she said as she tilted her head slightly. For some reason, something didn't feel right. Shrugging it off, she continued on socializing. "Well, it's nice to meet you Colby. I do hope you like being a Ravenclaw." she smiled before turning her attention away to address another potential new friend. She was twelve and did have a short attention span.
SPOILER!!: Allison

Remembering Allison felt happy...and then utterly embarrassed when she remembered his exchange with her mother.
Allison sent him a big wave. She was already seeing familiar faces, and that was making her all the more comfortable.
Allison then looked at the girl who had just introduced herself. She was beautiful. With long brown hair and porcelain skin, Allison was too young to know anything about looks but she knew that this girl was pretty.
Smiling Allison unconsciously ran her hand again through her short brown hair,"Oh! Nice to meet you Mina! My name is Allison Scott. What year are you in?"
Trying to pay attention to all the other student's, Allison found it difficult with the boy across from her. He was making all sorts of facial expressions and he didn't look a wee bit comfortable. She wanted to ask him what was wrong, but talking to older kids made her even more nervous. So then she just stared.
Burned? He has just said burned. And he had grinned. Yes Mr. Kellen Stern had just grinned. Did that mean he burned down his own school? He had sounded sarcastic when he said tragically. As Allison's thoughts began going hay-wired her eyes stared getting larger and larger. "Yes..ha...ha...burn-proof." She needed to hide. To run. Oh noes, where people at this school crazy? Maybe the letter she had recieved were for crazy people, and her mother and brother had lied and had never really gone to Hogwarts.
Oh Merlin help me!!
Mina smiled at Allison. She really did remind her of herself this time last year. "Nice to meet you Allison. I'm just a second year. I feel like I've been here a long time, but in a good way." she laughed softly. This place was extremely special like that. She hadn't even wanted to return home after her first year.
SPOILER!!: Keeley

It wasn't that she didn't like people, she was just so awkward that she preferred to not speak. If only the food would come, so there would be an excuse for her silence.
Mina stood up a little and craned her neck. She knew she saw Keeley walk in. Smiling, she tried to get her friends attention. Letting out a small whistle, she waved. "Hey Keeley." she yelled over. There was room over by them if her friends wanted to join them.
"Niiiice," Tyler smiled. "Unique hair and a unique name, goes pretty well," he smirked. He did like her hair, a lot. If only he had a different color hair other then balck. "Well, I guess I'm just a lucky gal to have the hair, the name, and now a nice guy like you beside me..." she said with a wink and sip of her juice...she could feel her stomach rumbling slightly and watched the firsties quickly get sorted and knew it had to be about time for the feast to rise up...
She quickly focused back in on Tyler's eyes, "I love love love love love New York....soooo jealous that you are from there...I'm not a huge shopper unless it comes to shoes..." she said with a glance at her new blue heels to match her outfit...."and then I love shopping and New York is the center of shoes....o yes...."
She quickly mentioned, "Well, I grew up in Texas and my family moved here a while back.." but she was quickly distracted by his last statement about himself...
She set her cup down and tilted her head slightly..."Did you say you got kicked out of school?" she hesitated not sure if she should pursue this for fear she would scare him off....she pushed a stray bang back behind her right ear and decided to ask..."Was it a wizarding school or a normal one?" yes that sounded like an innocent way to start this conversation.
Boo. BOO! BOOOO! Kellen didn't have much to offer Allison in the information section. Tilting her head she giggled, still looking at the other boy from the corner of her eye, "Nope. It would be awesome though. I Allison Scott a prefect under disguise." Putting her chin on her hand she smiled, "I was just curious. You know, I've never met any people with the ability to burn stuff. So I was was wondering if...there were any on these grounds." At that Allison looked around as if they all wore a P on their chests that screamed "Pyro dude sitting right here!"
"I'm pretty sure there are charms to..." Kellen closed his mouth immediately. Do not encourage this kid, his brain was nattering at him.

Then she saw Mina whistle and wave. Keeley grinned and waved. "Hi!" she yelled over the noise. She hadn't really talked much with her last year, but they shared a dorm, so they could chat a bunch.
Georgie was not pleased. No sir. She had not seen Hugo on the train. She had not seen Hugo in any of the house tables. And she was certainly not going to find Hugo here. RAWR. She should have gone through Platform 9 3/4 with Hugo. How unpleasant!
She plopped down the nearest empty seat then folded her arms across her chest. "Does ANYONE know where Hugo Woods is?" she asked no one in particular, grabbing a fork and banging it on the table. Meeeh.

Blinking a little, she had a feeling Dal was about to say something but stopped herself. There must be something really important she was going to tell her once the feast was over. It's probably more important than your silly news. Stupid voices were seriously getting on her nerves and she hadn't even been back for a full night yet. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she looked to Dal. "I'm not sure, but I hope we have a good bunch. I want to see us win the House Cup this year," she replied with a grin. "I think it's our time. I'm thinking about trying out for the house team this year and studying like extra hard to get us like tons of points." she added.
Still every bit the over-achiever, but at least this year she would try to be social.

... WHY was this girl calling him Colby? That was the name of the clown he had for a brother, and n---OOHHH. Right. He'd almost forgotten AND told the girl his real name. Tragic. He offered the girl a small grin. "I'm sure I'll love it, yes. And it was, ah, nice to meet you, too, Mina!"
Whatever it was that being a Ravenclaw was supposed to be, he'd sure try to enjoy it.

"Dude here is right. Not supposed to point your wand at others, kid. Could have poked my eyes out!" Ian didn't have anything against girls or whatsoever (well, he didn't have anything against those older than twelve) but it was nice to see that he wasn't the only male in this little estrogen pit. And so, he offered him a nod.
Whatever Estrogen Pit meant, anyway. Ian didn't know, but Morgan had used that word to describe her muggle school that only girls could attend to. And Morgan was smart, so ... Ian liked to repeat whatever it was that Morgan said.
But that was beyond the point right now. The point was that the little brat was ... well, a BRAT. And was kind of a phsyco, TOO, so Ian's hand VERY casually made its way to his fork and gripped it tightly. Just in case. And never mind he was a wizard and could do magic and COULD protect himself. He had sort of forgotten that.
He pursed his lips. "I have no reason to share my name with a little bully like yourself." HMPH.

"Yea, your right. Its not like we will see him much. I hope we have a good bunch too. And I so want to win the house cup." Dalanie said. "Yup, I'm going to be trying for the team and study hard and do all my homework and turn it all in and everything! I was bad at homework last year. How did I ever get into Ravenclaw? I'll prove that the sorting hat made the right choice this year!" she really had to study more.

Boo. BOO!
A small paper crane flew its way over to Allison, landing gently on her head.

Dear Allison,
I can't believe it either! I was so heartbroken when I heard the sorting hat yell out Ravenclaw. I wish we were in the same house. But it makes sense when you think about it, you love history and learning in general. Just think about how much your fellow Ravenclaws can teach you.The hat didn't put you there cause of your family its cause your brilliant. I think you'll do great. And don't worry we WILL hang out like, everyday. With your smarts and my wits nothing can stop us!

P.S. did I say cograts for geting into Ravenclaw? Congrats!

So, she was another flirty or was it just that Tyler attracted so many girls as soon as he stepped into London. First Isabella, then Victoria, Lucy, Cadence and now Satine. This made Tyler smirk and smile at the same time. "I guess you are a pretty and very lucky girl," he smirked again. "Really now? Well, people from New York do have an extreme style," he pointed to his skater-like clothes. Then again, Tyler was one of the veryyyy few people who didn't dress like a city person.
"I would like to go to Texas, I've heard so much about it but never got the chance to actually see it," he admitted. The only states he's been in were New York and New Jersey. Sucks for him. he won't be able to go until he graduates from Hogwarts. "Yup, I got kicked out for hexing people. They made jokes about me being part Mexican, and when I told my parents, they didn't believe me," "It was a wizarding school as well," he said. "But much smaller than this one," he chuckled. His old school was probably like ten times smaller than Hogwarts.

"Someone's cousin? Well, yeah. Tammy Wood, she was in Hufflepuff but she's graduated now." It wasn't that hard, talking about her cousin. She was slowly getting used to the idea that she was not going to be around.
The remains of the pie has slowly disappeared off of her face...what a relief. Lucy shook her head and blinked her eyes to make sure she, herself, was okay. That was utterly disgusting. Seriously. PIE. The grossest dessert on the face of the planet had come into contact with her face. She feared that it would stink up her face considering the fact that...well, pie stinks. It had a horrible stench to it which she could not stand. No wonder the smell was one she recognized and made her feel uncomfortable. "Yes...I think so." Lucy responded to the girl. She seemed kind, and caring and helpful. Natasha...
"TAMMY WOOD?!" Lucy nearly choke on her own saliva as she heard the name. "Of course...Tammy Wood's cousin. She mentioned you once or twice." Yes, yes...of course. It was long ago but Lucy definitely remembered the time she asked if Tammy had any siblings to which she responded no but added the fact that she did have a cousin named Natasha and the conversation went on to something else...
"Interesting. I knew her! She was so cool!" No wonder she was kind like Tammy. They're cousins! Duuuuuh. "So, what house are you in?" she asked. Hey, this was so bad. This whole small-talk stuff. It was nice. Definitely not scary, either.

After listening to what Mina said she was about to answer when she was distracted by the boy across from her. Really now what did she do?

Whatever it was that being a Ravenclaw was supposed to be, he'd sure try to enjoy it.
Suuuuure.
Merlin, ANOTHER girl? Did they GROW in trees around here or something??? Well, at least this was was actually NOT a little brat.
"I'll tell you where the Woody chap is if you tell me where's my brother AND my jarvey." Not really, but Ian DID wanted to find Colby and the nameless pest he had for a pet.
Allison was breaking into laughter again on the inside, but this time managed to control the grin that wanted to spread out. She had never been called a bully, but the thought of it slightly pleased her. However, the boy didn't want to say his name. She had overheard him call himself Colby to Mina, but something didn't seem quite alright.
If that was his name, and it was pretty obvious she had heard it, why would he refuse to give his name to her?
It was all very odd to Allison, yet what Mysterious possible Colby didn't know was that Allison always got what she wanted. Giving him a nod she murmured just loud enough to hear, "I'll find out anyways."
And then a paper crane landed on her head and Allison clapped in happiness.

Smiling warmly to it Allison looked towards the Hufflepuff table and waved. She'd go sit with them sooner or later, but it was the Start of the Term Feast, perhaps it was best to wait until some other day to join them.
With a tinge of sadness Allison stared at her plate. It was still empty. She was sort of hungry, all of those chocolates were starting to make her stomach hurt, and then the hunger was starting to make it growl.
That's when the white butterfly landed on her plate and flew to her nose. Making her go crossed eye, Allison laughed.
Immediately the butterfly flew and roamed around Mysterious Possible Colby and Kellen's head.

Natasha grinned happily. "She did? So you were friends with her?" She asked, because clearly she was. Lucky wouldn't have recognized that name, let alone said it like that, if she wasn't, right? "Well that's me."
"I'm in Slytherin." She found once again that she felt a bit strange saying that. Not because she didn't like being in Slytherin, but she didn't exactly fit what was thought of Slytherin. She was... Nice. She was just particularly ambitious, or something? She didn't understand it herself. "And your in Ravenclaw, clearly."
Looking at both older boys from left to across Allison burst out in a hoot of laughter that sounded much like her mother's. Oh her mother would be so proud if she saw the weird boy's face.
"I...I" Trying to find air from so much laughing Allison began to cry of laughter, "I have nooo...idea what you are talking about!" Giving her most innocent look, which was eerily convincing, Allison blinked.
Seeing the pale boy across and his frown Allison's concentrated innocent look broke and she laughed even more, "Oh please stop! You're killing me!"PFFFT! PFFFT! Even in her mind Allison laughed.
Her small charm had been innocent and was really only to send a letter to one of her friends who had, sadly been chosen as a Hufflepuff. The only harm done was scaring the boy in front of her out of his socks.
Giving Kellen a grin, Allison turned to the other boy and gave her natural smile, "The name is Allison Scott. And I'm bloody sure you won't tell me yours."

He nodded back, but his words were for Allison, "Guy just wants his food, Allison. It was a long train ride, and we're all hungry."

Excited to be around, for the first time, she let out a sigh and began to write down on her diary her previous experiences at the train, something to make record of. She felt that way.
Aaah, it was great to be back in the castle again after the summer. Though really it seemed that it was only yesterday that he had been at the ed of Term feast. Everything was the same now with the exception of his two best friends missing. But what could he do about that when they weren't ever gonna come back?
Sighing sadly at that thought, he started to make his way towards the Hufflepuff table when he saw Annie writing something. And being him, he just had to go over to her and see what she was doing.
He walked over to her, took a seat beside her, and peered at the book she was scribbling in. "What you writing about?"

Allison What's-Her-Last-Name was slowly beginning to remind Ian of the villain from the really, really old movie Greer, Ainsley and Morgan would watch on Saturday mornings while having breakfast and waiting for mum to take them to ballet lessons. What was it called again? The one with dogs and a really crazy lady with an obsession with clothes ... ?
... Cruella De Vil. Yep. Her. Although, the witch from Snow White could also do the job, too, could she not?
Ian shuddered and shook his head.
"Good look with that, kiddo. What are you? Some kind of stalker?" Riling up a stalker was probably NOT a very clever thing to do, especially if you momentarily forgot you were a wizard. But then, Ian wasn't very smart himself. Still frowning at the girl and wondering why on EARTH was Colby not here so he could use him as a shield to protect himself from the both freaky and creepy child, Ian turned to look at the guy. He was smart, it seems - why he even TALKING to the stalker then? Maybe they were related. Shudder. "Yes, listen to him, you little psychopath - I'm hungry and a hungry I-- I mean, Co--I mean, just stop bothering me!" Snapped the boy at last with both exasperation and annoyance. GRRRR, he'd almost given her his NAME.
Mum was right. He wasn't READY for Hogwarts.
