The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.

Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!

"Oh no," whispered Thomas putting his elbow on the counter next to the couch. "Now before I'll get depressed I'll go and do something which will save me from depression like... Er... Practice my spells in the dueling arena. Join me?" he said getting off the couch waiting for reply, and hopefully she'll say yes because he didn't ask.

Sighing, she turned back to look at him, seeing the smugness in his eyes. He was, enjoying himself. That little poo stain! Should she lie? Finally, she descided that honesty, was the best policy here. "Yes Kel.....I was dreaming about you."she whispered, gulping. He was probably going to laugh at her now, tell her how crazy she was, then walk off. Maybe she prefered that....but another part of her was almost hoping he would look at her lovenly, put his arm around her and give her a peck on the cheek, telling her how much that meant to him. Of coarse, that one probably wouldn't happen.

His chin still resting on the arm of the chair, Kel nodded slowly as Jenn talked. "I'm sorry I surprised you," he told her chirpily, although that wasn't actually the truth. He'd enjoyed himself thoughourly, truth be told. He loved messing with Jenn, especially when she least expected it. Like, when she was asleep. He'd caught her a few times sleeping - those were usually the funnest times to mess with her.

"And what was I doing in your dream?" he pressed, giving up on the innocent, head-on-armchair look and moving to sit on the arm of the chair instead. Oh, this would be interesting; he could feel it. He could tell by the way that Jenn was blushing that it had been a good dream, and that only made him want to know better. And, plus, the dream involved dancing sugar quills: it had to have been great!

She couldn't help but roll her eyes. Sure he was sorry. Uh huh. Likily story. She could tell he was enjoying himself, more than he probably should have, but he was. At least he seemed....happy. That's all that really mattered to Jenn. ...Even if her life was about to end from embarressment. "It's okay, really." she said, shrugging. "Someone was bound to come along and try and scare me. Might as well have been you I guess." She smiled slightly, straightening up in her seat a bit more, trying not to fall asleep again. She was still quite tired.

Her eyes widdened, and her heart thudded even harder on her chest. She was almost positive he could hear it. "Well....um....at first we were just walking around, but then suddenly we were in dress robes....dancing. That's where the sweets come in and stuff."she informed him, taking a deep breath. "We then walked out of the ballroom, and were walking around a sparkling lake, and then we sat down....just talking to each other and stuff. You told me we shouldn't be doing this, cause you said I didn't love you, and I told you...that you knew I did....and stuff. And well.....I kissed you....and you kissed-gulp-me back, and...." She thought it was best to stop there. As it was....she was already embarressing herself to life threatening degreeses.

"But I wasn't trying to scare you," Kel reminded her quickly, turning around on the chair so that he was facing her. "Honestly, I wasn't. I just..." now it was his own turn to blush, and he wondered why he even started telling the truth. "I wanted to know what you'd say in your sleep, that's all." he quickly looked away from her, down at his hands. Shut up now, he advised himself.

Now, he was sure his face had burst into flames. Surely that much heat couldn't be in his cheeks and ears if his face wasn't on fire - it just wasn't possible. Kel resisted the urge to glare at Jenn as she told him allll about her dream, but he knew it was his fault for asking. But did she have to tell him that they kissed in her dream? Did he really need to know that detail? "Erm..." Awkward, "Nice dream," he croaked, embarrassed beyond extremes. How had his oh-so-clever planned backfired so badly?

Jenn looked up at him, cocking an eyebrow. Ooooooh! Now he was blushing! Now it was her turn to feel slightly smug at that fact. Of coarse, then she had to blush even deeper.....if that was even possible. "You....wanted to know what I'd say in my....sleep?"she asked, feeling something stir in her heart. It was a odd emotion......but it felt good to. Maybe it was satisfaction?

She had been staring at the fire, when she looked back over at him, almost wishing she hadn't. He looked.....embarressed...and upset all at once. His face and neck and ears were redder than a tomatoes, and she whimpered soflty. Why oh why did she have to be so....honest? "Yeah, sure."she scoffed, resting her face in her hands. She felt....horrible. "Maybe....I should go.....you know....to um...yeah."she started getting up, picking up all her books and other things that had spilled out of her bag from when she set it down.

"Okay then... Meet me in the dueling club in about five minutes," he said to her exiting the common room. He was going to give her a surprise in the dueling arena, he was going to give her the present he bought for her.

Walking into the common room, still completely stunned, about the announcement, he sinks down into one of the couches.

I need to order a broom...I can't use the school ones, I've seen how some of them have acted... he thinks quickly to himself. Seeker! Oh my gosh... still stunned, he doesn't really pay attention to who's in the common room with him.

Anya ran into the common room, JD was seeker for the team!!! She ran up to him, smiling. "Congratulations!" she said, out of breath from sprinting the whole way. "You made it!!!"

Looking up as Anya ran into the common room, and came directly over to him. "Thanks!" he says with a smile. "I didn't think I could do it, but after the flying lesson, I knew I wanted to try."

"I wonder if they'll let me fly upside down..." he adds with a sly grin.

She laughed, sinking down next to him and sighing. "And you made seekr!! That's the most important person. I know everyone talks about how everybody is equal, and its true, but seekers play the biggest part. In my opinion." she added as an afterthought. She liked everyone, but maybe it was only because her mother was a seeker.

Looking at her horrified, he realizes she's probably right. From what he had read, the seeker is the one who usually decides the game. Oh, no! What have I done. I wonder if Willow, can change her mind. I don't know if I want to play seeker now...

Worriedly he looks down at his hands. "Ummm, yep I guess so..."

"I...I guess I just didn't realize how important the seeker was." he replied looking down at his hands.

Shrugging, "I read the rule book and all, but maybe it's gonna be a lot harder then I thought." Looking up at her, he looks nervous, "Maybe I should wait...I mean I did just ride a broom for the first time last month."

"You really think so?" starting to feel a little better, he smiles "maybe the practices will calm my nerves more." Reaching back to rub his neck, he realizes it's really tense. Definitely must be nerves

Listening to her stumble over her last sentence, he grins slightly. I guess we all have our hidden secrets. he muses thinking about his real name, and why he goes only by JD.

Grinning at her, he adds "I just might need a little coaching."

Scratch. Scratch. Scratch.

Broccoli walked down from the boy's dormitories and across the common room scratching his basically bald head. There were small patches of hair that was getting long enough to notice them and a small red spot which he was scratching. It wasn't enough that Broccoli had lost his hair at the end of last term because of his antidandruff potion he had used on himself, he was now contracting a rash from - Merlin knew what. He had a sneaking suspicion that it was from someone's pet, but he wasn't entirely sure.

"Sigh." Scratch scratch... He wasn't sure if he should go to the library to look up things on rashes, or just head to the hospital wing. Both had their advantages and disadvantages.

Watching as Anya blushed, he bit back a laugh. This was too much fun, and he knew he shouldn't but, he liked seeing her blush. Tracing her finger with his, he grins at her.

"So how did the homework go?" he asks remembering what she had been working on when they met.

Laying his head lightly on hers, he remembers the last time they sat like this. Looking at the fire, feeling comfortable, he sighs contentedly. It was nice to feel warm and safe inside the school, and not out in the howling wind. That was a cold night that's for sure...

"Maybe next time, I should help you with the homework. If you help me with the spells, I can help you with the homework." he murmurs. "If you'd like that is?"

"Mmm," she said lightly,"That would be nice." She watched the flames dance and lap into each other, casting shadows on their hands.

Closing her eyes briefly, she gets a flashback of the night in the maze, they were positioned the same way. Opening her eyes, she realizing they had only known each other for around 2-3 days, they had moved so fast. Sighing contentedly, there was noplace she would rather be.
