And no, I don't think that you should talk to him about it. I wouldn't want you caught in this mess when I'm trying to stop it." Who would have ever thought Fyo capable of this? Never him.
And for once in his life he was getting good advice from Reese. It was something that he had wished he could record on film because he wasn't sure that it would ever happen again in his life. "Reese... your advice actually makes sense for once!" To think that he would ever tell her that.. |

Rafe took her hands. Her sweet delicate perfect hands. "I could shout it from the rooftops..." Rafe was off his chair and knelt down beside her, "...ask me anything my love and I will do whatever it takes to make you forever happy!"

Lucy smiled at him sadly. She knew the potion was really good because Rafe would never tell any girl he just met that he loved her. "I...love you, too Rafe." Lucy smiled at him yet again, wondering what everyone else would think when they saw Rafe and his crazy obsession with Lucy.

"In the greenhouses, hmm? What'cha been doing there? I'd help out, too, but I'd probably kill everything I touched," she joked. LouAnn was a good student, but she just didn't have a lot of luck with things like succeeding with flying colors. "Oh, yeah! Gryffindor is second! Imagine that! I think I just overheard someone say we're back to third, though. At least we're not last anymore."
Then he asked how she'd been, and if she was being honest, she hadn't really been doing too well. "Hmm...I don't know, Chris. I've been going through a few things that I just need to figure out and get past. I'm sure it'll be okay, though. Professor Lupa's been helping me out a lot...Mr. Masterson, too," she explained. "How've you been?"

"Oh I'm sure you wouldn't kill them." he said as he took another bite. Chris then heard the unfortunate news of Gryffindors slip into third place. "Oh well that's still not too bad, its better that fourth." he nodded. He was proud of the Gryffindors for coming back so close to the other houses.
Chris listened to LouAnn talk about her recent problems. He smiled sadly at her. "I'm sorry LouAnn, I really am. If you ever need anything or any help you can ask me ok?" he patted his hand on her shoulder. He didn't want his good friend and someone he cared about so much to be afraid or scared. At least Lupa was helping her out.

Rafe stared at Lucy with such adoration and couldn't wait for her to speak, just one word. She was so perfect! Lucy started to walk towards the door when she heard singing behind her. She whipped around and couldn't believe her eyes-- he was singing for her. Her eyes bulging, she quickly looked around to see who else was in the restaurant--not many she knew, *whew*, but then she spotted LouAnn and Chris. She quickly pulled on Rafe's hand and dragged him to the door, hoping neither LouAnn or Chris had spotted Rafe singing to her. "Aww, that was so sweet, Rafe, thanks for singing! You are so adorable!" Lucy said, pinching his cheek again.

Despite the fact that someone was singing (was that Rafe?), LouAnn continued to eat her ice cream sundae. It was often that she got to take a break from the chaos of school and sit and enjoy ice cream. She'd have to consider taking an outing like this more often. "Yup, I have been to Florean Fortescue's. I went just this summer when I was buying my school supplies. I bought my first wand from Diagon Alley way back when I was eleven, though, so I'm sure I went then, too," she replied.
She smiled sadly when he offered to help her with the problems she'd mentioned having. She appreciated that so many of her friends kept standing by her side no matter how insane she sometimes seemed. If any had been around during one of her blackouts, they'd probably just assume she'd gone mental. "Thanks, Chris. I'm working on figuring out a solution now, but...if you'll just promise to stand by my side no matter what, that would help me the most," she admitted. The last thing she wanted was for her friends to turns their backs on her.

With one additional look at Rafe, LouAnn blocked out the sound of the boy's singing and focused on her own conversation...and ice cream. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy Rafe's singing, but that was part of what was meant to be a private conversation between him and some other girl. LouAnn didn't want to be rude to Chris either.
She nodded when he mentioned how great the ice cream at Florean Fortescue's was. "It really is! I think it's cool how they have real candy inside, like chocolate frogs and jelly slugs. The Bertie Bott's is really awesome, too! It's cool how the ice cream tastes different every time you get a scoop," she remarked. LouAnn finished off her ice cream and tossed the spoon back into the cup. "That was really good. Thanks again. I'd forgotten how nice it was to just get away and come and enjoy ice cream."
LouAnn smiled just a little but then glanced away, hiding the sad look that crept up on her face. Chris was claiming he'd stand by her no matter what, but if LouAnn had really done what she was afraid she'd done, Chris would probably turn on her in a heartbeat. She thought it'd be safe to say there'd be no more ice cream sundae dates.
