Tall bookshelves are scattered throughout the library, the smooth wood gleaming brightly in the sun that shines in through the stained glass windows. Tens of thousands of books rest upon the shelves, all waiting to be explored by eager minds. They stretch along the walls, filling each shelf and dark corner. A catalogue system has been put in place to ensure that finding and retrieving a book becomes a simple task, for the sheer amount of books can be overwhelming, particularly to the youngest of students.
At the end of the first few bookshelves in the front of the library sits a pedestal. An open book with a soft golden light emitting from it, has been placed upon the pedestal. As you approach the book, you hear a rustling and then a gentle pop. “Come closer, come closer. Don’t be afraid.” A jolly voice speaks.
When you finally do peek into the pages of a book, an elderly gentleman peers out at you, one hand rising to adjust his spectacles. “Now. What book is it that you seek? I can give you a general location or a more specific one if you know the exact title of the book.”
Once you speak your request, the man ponders for a few moments before scribbling on a piece of parchment. Squinting at what he has written, he looks back up and smiles, before speaking the location of the book. “Happy reading!” He exclaims before settling back down into a still, flat image. OOC: Please note that the jolly man is for entertainment purposes only. I will not be RPing him each time a student approaches asking for a book.  | |

He was so adorable sometimes and this was one of those moments, but Fia was not going to tell him that. "Whatever," she rolled her eyes with a smirk as she wasn't going to tell him that he was right either. Nope! There was nothing he could do for her to admit that.
"So what? Well, I think it's time to be nosy again. Something is going on and I want to know." Yup. That meant she was going to come out of her hiding once again. Look out.

How DARE he imply that he was better than she was! Sylvia put her hand o her hips and scoffed. "That's very unlikely. Quidditch is my anger management. You would loooooose." Sylvia sang the last word and giggled to herself. Though, not making the Quidditch team in the first place did show she wasn't great at it, she just liked hitting things.

Bontecou... there was something about Bontecou. Jake recalled that day he and Anna had turned up in the man's office without remembering going there... that day he blacked out in there and was missing something afterwards... the day he'd been talking to Kaz and Bontecou in the office and Anna had showed up. The fact that Jake KNEW the password.
Crap.
Saying nothing more, but with his eyes going wide, Jake immediately sprinted from where he stood. He needed to a). talk to LouAnn b). think and c). hide again.
And then he was gone. This was weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird. Why was this man looking for the headmaster in the Library? And WHO WAS HE? It sort of made her proud that so many students had...surrounded the stranger. Who knew what or who he was and what he was here for. Yeah, their mothers and fathers didn't teach them to be careful for nothing!
Arching a brow, she watched Jake walk to stand besides her and, if she could, she'd cross her arms at the man. But then the stranger sort of ran off. Well... the teachers would take care of him. She turned to speak to Jake. "You know-" What the...?
Yeah, Jake was a snitch allright, the boy had dissapeared as fast as he had appeared. Humpfhing, Miranda held the book firmly in her hand and decided to go and check it out and leave the library.

Nataly was searching through the long bookshelves in the healing section. She felt really strange that day, as if a big part of her was missing. It was much colder than usual for her, even if it was June, and she didn't get that euphoric feeling anymore.
She was scanning through the books, looking attentively at the books' titles. Suddenly, she saw a book about werewoolves. It took Nataly a few moments to realise she didn't feel that burning hatred for them any more. Actually, she felt a strong pang of guilt in her heart. What had she done?! The posters, destroyed gargoyle, and, of course stealing documents from Bontecou's office...
But why had she done it?! Why was she so eager to hurt the werewolves? Why did she make her best to kick Lupa and the Headmaster out of school? She remembered supporting the werewolves in the beginning of the year, until the first WOLF meeting.
The sudden realisation came to her almost immediately. "I was imperiused." she whispered in horror.
Nataly ran out of the library, knocking off one of the chairs. But she didn't even look back.
