Fia raised her little hand and cleared her throat. Never before had she spoke out in class and this was a first. It had to do with something about being...happy. "Umm...sir...I like...shooting stars." Her statement was almost turned into a question as she was nervous to speak at the moment. The only attention she liked, was having Miles' attention and that was it.

Satine looked at the Professor with an awkward glare...there was something different about this one, she raised her hand, "Professor, I think it's amazing how the muggles have created a variety of space ships and satellites to help us learn about astronomy....that would be one favorite...but the best one is comets like Haley's Comet...." she said looking through a window and dreamily into the stars.

Eww gross! This class was crazy and dirty. Turning to Evelyn who was covered in well, poo, she pointed her wand 'Scourgify! Seems like we'll be using that a lot this class.'

"Oh, okay, okay. Sorry, sir," she said, backing slowly away from him. When she did so, she suddenly became aware of all the poop smells around her. She gagged a little then thought quickly and casted a few spells to clean herself up. Well now...this had been a learning experience, hmm?

Oh, and they were staring class now! Good...finally...class was good, yup. She moved around the area, looking for a part of the room that wasn't so poop-infested. She finally settled on an area a few feet away from Perry. Raising her hand, she said, "My favorite part about Astronomy is the moon. I like to sit outside, look at it, and imagine what it was like to be Buzz, Neil, and Michael. Well, maybe just Buzz and Neil. Poor old Michael just got to stay in the shuttle the whole time."

Abby was sitting down minding her own business when Professor Perry did a belly flop roll right in front of her. She looks down to find owl poo all over her shoes. Friends with Lord Borr. Taught at Hogwarts the same time as Borr did. Why do I feel like we're heading for trouble at warp speed? Beam me up Scotty. There is no intelligent life down here. "My favorite part of Astronomy is star gazing. I've always found the stars so beautiful in the sky. We are going to study the stars at night when they are visible?" I never thought I would ask that question in Astronomy class.

"I... have no idea what you're talking about," Perry just stared at her. Buzz? Bees? Bumblebees? WHAT?

"YES. GOOD. OKAY!" Perry started hopping around again. He was all excited and agitated and READY TO TEACHHOORAY! "SHOOTING STARS. Very good, Hufflepuff girl person!!"

He bound to the window and pointed up at the sky. "You all probably do NOT know this because you are not amazing astronomy experts such as I am, but today is an excellent day for viewing a... CAN YOU GUESS?"

He didn't wait. "A METEOR SHOWER! RIGHT!! I have this box of telescopes here, and we're just going to take turns at the window examining the night sky. CELESTIAL!"

In a rather rambling mood, LouAnn replied to the professor by going on and on about who Buzz, Neil, and Michael were. "They were the first men to walk on the moon. Walk on the moon!!! Can you imagine?" she asked, not expecting an answer, but rather just asking out of excitement. "Well, Buzz was the first, I think. No maybe it was Neil. Neil. Yes, Neil. Anyway, Micheal's job was to circle the moon and wait for the other two to get back..."

Was he? LouAnn heaved out a sigh, causing her bangs to fly straight upward, then headed over to where he was showing them telescopes they'd use for viewing a meteor shower.

What in the name of CANARIES was going on, the Head Boy had honestly NO IDEA!!

But what he did know was this man - though friends with Professor Borr - was certainly not as large. The disadvantage was that he was still just as, if not moreso, egotistical than Borr, thinking he was evidently the smartest man ever when it came to Astronomy. Thinking he knew all there was to know.

And he was definitely very animated and hyper.

The advantage: they were actually going to study stars! How enthralling!! After three years of Astronomy, actually able to use telescopes and LOOK AT THE STARS!!! The excitement by this Professor Perry was quite contagious, Dominic just now realized as he glanced towards the box of telescopes with anticipation.

Fyo raised a hand. "My favourite part is the exploration of things that appear, at first sight, a very insignificant part of nature," he said genially. He knew he was a little late with answer, but he had, after all, been pretty taken up with "occurrences" in the classroom. The type that, you know, bewilder.

Or don't seem very much like a class.

Turns at the window? Oh my, this had better be good.

"Thanks." Evelyn said for the second time. "I'm am so glad you are my friend right now..." she spoke, wiping invisible spots off of her sweater and skirt.

"A meteor shower?" Evelyn repeated aloud, looking towards the professor. She had seen a fair share of meteor showers out in the country side where she lived. Complete view of the sky, no one around for miles, just them. They were beautiful; something she always looked forward to. Smiling slightly, she was a little more happier now that she knew what they were doing in class, though she scooted a little more towards Destiny, juuuuust in case the Professor decided to get a little too close again.

*cough cough* not that she was going to use Destiny as a shield or anything...*queue the horns halo and butterflies.*

Destiny saluted Evelyn with the tip of her wand, along with a big smile, 'You're welcome!'

With all her attention back to the professor with the mention of meteor showers, Destiny's smile quickly disappeared, 'Meteor shower? You mean big rocks falling.. from.. the sky?'
She did not like the sound of that.

Turning to Evelyn, who seemed to be getting closer to her, Destiny whispered 'Better give me room, if a rock falls in my direction I need space to run!'

Evelyn just gave Destiny a 'look', or tried to, and scooting closer. "If a rock falls in our directions..." she started, taking her wand out and showing it to her, "...Just blast the thing." she finished, smirking, scooting eeeeven closer.

"I can tell you lot are VERY EXCITED about using the telescopes," Perry said. He stretched out his arms to herd them all back from the window. IT WAS SLIPPERY THERE. People fall out of windows all the time.

Defenestration.

Since he was thinking of slipping, it was natural that Perry would step in some owl poo. He sliiiiiiiiiid a few feet, until the box of telescopes stopped his fall. Perry did NOT fall out the window.

The telescopes did. ALL OF THEM.

"Ummm....professor would you like us to use the summoning spell for the um...fallen telescopes?" Rafe asked with his wand already out.

He didn't know why they would have class in one of the most disgusting places. Why couldn't they just have it in the observatory?

"Uh." Perry scooted as close to the edge as possible and glanced down.

OH SCARY SCARY SCARY. THEY WERE SO HIGH!

"They're broken. Gravity is a stinker, you know?"

SIGH.

'Oh wow...this is like a mix of Miss Melita or whatever her name was and...well my uncle.' she thought, staring at the Professor who skidded and knocked all the telescopes out of the window. Luckily, someone tried saving all of them. Well most of them. She guessed they would just have to share.

"Maybe we should hang tight back here Destiny." she whispered to the other girl, slightly pulling her by the arm away from the dangerous professor and window.

Jack watched as the telescope fell. Unfortuantely he wasn't in position to do anything about it...perhaps somebody closer?

If not, this class would be a bit of a dud. Bad enough they had to deal with slipping and sliding in this mess....and the smell....

"Well, we are wizards after all, we could try the Reparo spell," Rafe kindly suggested. "I would hate for this to ruin our lesson." Rafe was really looking forward to class today. They were actually with an expert. Plus, he hoped they wouldn't have to stretch and "reach for the stars" instead.

'Blast them, right!' Destiny didn't even think about that. In fact, she thought it would just be easier to run away. Sometimes she did, indeed forget she was a witch.

Annnnd, she wasn't quite sure this 'professor' was even a wizard. 'He just let them telescopes fall out the window. And now they are broke.' No wonder they were broke. They fell so high. 'Professor! Couldn't we use the Reparo spell on them?' Duuuuuuuh!

Then Evelyn started to pull her farther away from this crazy man. 'Good idea. I realllllly hate astronomy and I'm starting to hate owls!' She was now holding her nose. 'The smell would probably kill a giant.'

This... it...

Raiden was very firmly planted by the wall farthest from the window this man had nearly fallen from, staring blankly at everything that was happening. The telescopes had gone... straight out the window... What was it with Astronomy classes this term, and why had he bothered attending yet another after the Daphne Hopton Window Incident?

"Sir... would you like me to go back down and get those for you?" And fix them before coming back up, of course. Then I wouldn't have to come back for a while. "It'll be less educational to have a class with no telescopes, I think. We won't be able to see everything up close."

Or something like that. Raiden glanced at the door. Escape? It was looking like a brilliant idea, as this man seemed inclined to accidentally start pushing students out the window next.

Cedric rolled his eyes. Another annoying newbie staff? he guessed but it seems that the new school staff is a nice person, an amazing person as a matter of fact. Cedric hates childish person. He hoped that their Professor Perry isn't one.

Oooh. Telescopes. Nice. Of course, he's excited to use one cause it'll allows them to see the beautiful atmosphere above, they'll gonna see the moon, sun and other celestial bodies. So far, he's loving the new professor. But the constant disapperance of Lord Borr made him wondered. "I'm looking forward to use one Professor Perry but not that 'VERY EXCITED'" stated Cedric with a bit subtleness and sarcasticness. He used to be sarcastic and suspiscious at new person he'd met cause he doesn't trust people that easily.

Abigail watched as the telescopes went flying out of the window and her jaw dropped open. ‘Oh I was looking forward to using them! What are we going to do now?’ Things had been going so well first a teacher that wasn’t that other idiot, and one who seemed to like astronomy. It looked like they were even going to learn something.

Edem.. Was.. In awe.

So he had walked into the class expecting to see Borr and he got a.. A FREAK instead, and then they were owl skating, and what's with the telescopes? OH NO HE DIDN'T.

Professor Perry was a lunatic. Edem was sure of that. He stood with his arms crossed, frowning and biting his lips, his foot rapping against the floor impatiently. Ew. He wished he hadn't come into the class.. Oh, the smell. Owl poo. Torturing. This better get him something good..

Evelyn giggled. The smell of the owlery was starting to get nauseating, but it was bearable for the moment. At least to her it was...

Hearing a screech...a really familiar screech at that, Evelyn looked up to see a small black bird descending as if stalking a pray. Rolling her eyes, she raised a brow at the owl when it flew down and landed on her shoulder. "Long time no see huh?" she said to him, patting his head for a moment before turning back to Destiny.

"Well, would you rather have class here with this guy?" she started, gesturing to the professor, "Or class in a closed off classroom with Borr?" she said, grimacing, before whispering, "I'd actually prefer neither. I don't want to drown in spit and odor and i don't want to fall out the window either, much less be covered with poo." As if agreeing with her, No-Name (the owl) hooted softly before getting comfortable...which meant digging his talons into her shoulder.

This class reminded him of one word.

Not funny, is it, that the word was "disaster?"

The closest it came to being a lesson on astronomy was the number of telescopes that flew through the air [and out of the open window] and Fyo was pretty sure that did not count as "educational." His eyes were wide, his hands over his head. Sanity, he told himself. I need a bit of sanity.

The "bit" of sanity arrived in the form of thoughts of his Muggle Studies homework. Eyes wide as he contemplated the possibility, Fyodor Balouch grabbed his school-bag, dug out his camera and, as a telescope went soaring over his head, snapped a shot of it.

Perfect. Or was it?
