William's eyes went wide. "Oh no you don't!" he shouted, brandishing his wand and shouting "Stupefy! Stupefy! STUPEFY!" there was no way he was going to let anything get to the headmaster. He knew he had no chance of stopping her, but he at least hoped to slow her down some.

GALLOPPING GAAARGOYLES, that was Aornos?!

Cam was terrified, shivering, both from the water and the fear. He was gonna pass out soon enough, yes, he WAS going to go head-first through the water and drown all the way. 3 more steps back. And then the Ancient Runes professor came, SURELY she would be a great help right?! OMG SATINE. Merwoman. Trident. And then the professor.

Both. Unconscious. "PROFESSOR? Satine?!" They were in big trouble. VERY big trouble. Cam was shaking. He was REALLY shaking. Goose bumps. And just the fear of dying on this very day. But he WASN'T going to let these STUPID mermaids conquer THEIR school. NO. That would have been PATHETIC.

And then the key. Cam tried his very best to steady his eyes at Aornos's chest to see if he had it around his neck. URGH. He was moving around TOO much. It was... best worth a try right? He looked at the other students, especially the Headmaster helplessly. Errrrr...

"ACCIO KEY!" Cam yelled out, pointing his wand at their so called leader. And he tried all of his best to concentrate. Just to concentrate on that one spell. Oi what if he didn't even have it...

Dani, not to be outdone he her earlier outburst, to a leap at the king, hoping to semi-tackle him like she had the merman earlier. This time she shoved her wand in her holster so she wouldnt drop it mid-leap. "Bad fishy-people!!!!" She yelled as she flew toward him. Hopefully this guy wasn't as mean as the other one. As she flew toward him she realized that this guy actually looked a little meaner. Oh no. She saw Satine go down and it re-inforced her need to do something.

Aislynn couldn't take it anymore. She hated all the spells. She walked, well practically swam up to Aornos. She knew she was risking her life. She took out her wand and put it down at his feet. What she was about to do she was unsure of, but she had to try. She had been studying the merpeople's diaglogue and practicing for such an encounter. He was towering over her and she looked up at Aornos, bowed and stared at him straight in the eyes. She screeched as mermishly as possible:

A loud screeching sound echoed throughout the castle.


Aornos pointed his mighty trident at the wimpy human wizards and began speaking again.





It was a malicious grin and the merchieftain turned his back on the group. But before swimming away, he barked out another royal command:

Plymouth turned around to find his little first year buddy Dani... at his back. "Hey what are YOU doing here? You... shouldn't be here, kiddo." Plymouth frowned down at her, then at Evolette, then at Dani, then at the Merpeople, then at EVERYONE. First year baby darlings shouldn't be here! Wasn't it bedtime for them? "You just.. .stay put. No wandering off, you hear?"

OH MAN. HELLO MERPEOPLE. Err.. violent... Merpeople. Plymouth squished Dani and Evolette to the door behind him. His eyes were the size of MOONS when that big hairy looking one - SHOT LUPA WITH HIS FORK.

"HEY!" Plymouth made a grab for Dani... "KID. GET BACK HERE!"


Ugh. That kid... Plymouth was NOT a fan of all the screaming, and he didn't want to be forked, and he didn't want Evolette to be forked - up his shield went again. Protego.

Evolette couldn't believe what she'd just witnessed. Professor Lupa got hit, and hit HARD. She was really down for the count there. A tickling sensation caught in her throat as she tried to tear her eyes away, was she dead? Why wasn't someone getting her out of the water?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

Smushed into the door behind Plymouth, Evolette decided that she no longer wanted to poke the merpeople, even if they were AWFULLY shiny. She wiggled away from Plymouth, reaching for her wand once again, but the leader, or so it seemed, the one who had shot at Lupa was swimming away! She didn't even get to have one good shot at him. OR poke him!

GASP!

Yes, master! Without any further adieu, the feisty little whippersnapper of a grindylow launched itself at the the witch who was screeching at the spot where his master, King Aornos, was moments before.

Mouth open and a screeching snarl coming from its mouth, the grindylow was inches away from its target.

CHOMP!

Rave was still searching for her wand when the merchieftain appeared. After dodging the flying debris she resumed her search, until she saw one of the professor's fall unconcious into the water. If she couldnt help in the fight, she'd help the fallen.

Making her way tot he professor, she pulled her upper torso and head out of the water, so she wouldn't drown while she was unconcious, and rested the professor's head on her shoulder. She was just becoming acustomed to holding the professor up, when she saw another student fall. "Quick, someone get her face out of the water!" she called to the other students seeing as she couldnt move. 'Bloody hell I hope they dont aim for me.' was the only coherent thought running trough her terrified mind. This was an interesting first day back.

"Look out for the grindylow!!"

Chris was at lost for what to do. The King, had come and blown the door apart and then screamed and then left. But before he did so he sent his grindlyows to attack them again.

"Stupify!" shouted as they approached them faster as if ordered to. "What do we do?!" he shouted to everyone else.

The merwoman screached and make a weird sound of victory. But she was hit by a stunning spell and fell into the water.

9 other merwomen turned to the boy (William) who cast at their sister! Five spears flew towards him! Two of the merwomen went to the other boy (Cam) and covered his mouth with their scaley hands. And two others went to the (Dani) and splashed the annoying little girl.

Someone tried to speak mermish and FAILED MISERABLY.

Aislynn screeched out in horror as she felt the stinging pain of the bit from a grindylow. She fell backward, putting herself more vulnerably in the water. She tried to get it off her leg, but her wand was a few feet away. "STOOOP!! What did I ever do to you?!" She tried to pull it off, but her fingers were getting snapped at. She was in so much pain she began to cry.

ooc: i'm using it from the book that was given. eek, i see a few of the letters messed up. It's supposed to say. "Please stop! Let us resolve this peacefully." But, in a way that makes sense, she is just trying. sorry

Chris rushed over to the unconscious Lupa nd rolled her over face out of the water. that was all he had time for, beacuse what had just happened.
Chris looked up just in time to hear a screech of outrage and fired 'Impedimenta" to try and stop the spears heading towards William.

Paris saw the spears heading toward William."William!" she shouted as she threw herself in front of him. "Protego!" She shouted. They were not going to hurt her William!

Another pack of grindylows launched themselves at two of the boys (Plymouth and Chris). All ten of them had their teeth bared.

CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP!

He was breathing heavily and looked around for help. He didn't even notice 9 merwomen turn to look at him as one of his spells hit one of their own. He saw her go down and had a moment of victory before freezing. Five spears came flying at him. "Protego!" he screamed, concentrating on the spell that would protect him. Someone help me please he thought, holding the spell as he rolled and hit the wall.

Crap! As soon as he had sent the spell to stop the spears at William, he turned around to see tons of Grundylows coming at him and Plym. All he could do was shout, " Stupify! Protego! Stupify!" as they tried to grabbed at him and bite him.

"Stupfy!" She shouted at the nasty little grindylows trying to chomp on her boyfriend.

Oh. My. BITE THE ANKLES?!

Stupid Aornos. Unfortunately his little summoning charm hadn't worked. FOR SHAAAAME. He watched the whole thing, mouth opening when 3--no 5 spears flew towards this one boy. Oh who CARED if he didn't know the guy, he pointed his wand straight at the flying spears, ready to cast a Shield Charm, interrupted all of a sudden. All of a sudden.

Merwomen. Two of them. Putting their filthy fishy hands on his MOUTH. "MMMmmMMMMSHMEHMME," he tried muffling out words, all failing miserably. Oh he wasn't even gonna put his tongue out to make them disgusted. Who knew what could they have touched! He splashed one leg down in the water, looking helplessly at the people surrounding him.

It felt so weird to have merpeople touch you. SO SCALY. And they smelled SO FISHHY. He watched with wide eyes at the boy about to be hit with the spears, grabbing the scaly hands with his own arms and trying to get them off of him.

Aislynn still couldn't get the grindylows off. She desperately tried to reach for her wand, but the more she tried to reach the more they seemed to take he further away. Her head was almost under the water. She could see swirls of blood in the water around her, she only assumed it was her own and hoped it was rather than someone else's.


"AAAAAH!!!" She never felt such pain, she wondered if she even had her leg, she was terrified to even look.

Anna winced and covered her ears at the sound of the loud screeching. Merlin, no matter how many times she heard that, she'd never get used to it! It seemed liked everything started happening at once just after that. A large group of merpeople turned their attention to William, and five spears were hurled towards the young boy. "William! Look out!" she called, hoping he'd dart away in the knick of time. She'd have made a dive to help in, but she was just too far away at the moment. "Oh, no! Cam!!!" Anna grabbed the young boy by the feet and tugged him, trying to pull him away from the merpeople. She drew her wand and aimed it towards the nearest creature..."Stupefy!"

Dani gasped when two merwomen turned on her. She didn't know what to do. Her wand still sat uselessly in her holster. But then they started to splash her. So she splashed them back. What else could she do? How many people could claim they'd had a splash fight with a merperson? Hmm? Not many. She stuck her tongue out at the merwomen. They were mean. And now she was acting like a five year old. "You mean over grown fish! Why don't you just leave us alone?!"

"Relashio!" she shouted at the grindylows pulling Aislynn under. Paris put her wand in her mouth and grabbed the girls robes to pull her back above the water.

EEEP! Attacking of the Grindylows!

And NONE of them were getting anywhere near him. He would not allow it.

Waving his wand around in the water wildly, yet miraculously not hitting any students, he sent as many Stunning Spells out as he could--hardly making an progress as he did so. "Stupefy! Stupefy! Stupefy!" he cried. He'd hit ONE of them eventually, he was sure!

As if there weren't enough Merwomen around, more still, with their big pointy oversized forks as one of the juicy students had called them, rose from the water.

With a high cackling screech, one of them poked her Trident at the girl with the green in her hair (Rave Stone.)

Oh yes, fear the fishy wrath.
