You enter through a pair of massive double-doors into a room that is decorated in various shades of white. The brightness of the place catches you off-guard and you avert your eyes to the pale ash flooring that is covered in expensive navy blue antique reproduction rugs. Slowly, your eyes adjust to the brightness of the room and you look around at your new surroundings.

On each side of the entrance are the rules of Cooper's School - each rule is framed in matching mahogany frames and lined up perfectly straight. The sitting area consists of white leather couches covered in plastic since boys are known to be messy creatures no matter how careful they are. Even the masculine armchairs are upholstered in white leather and covered in protective plastic. In front of the couches, is a massive mahogany coffee table that is devoid of any decoration except for a small silver framed rule that clearly states 'Keep all feet, food and drink off the table.' The fireplace is surrounded by an elegant white marble fireplace that has an hourglass perched on the mantle. Over the mantle is a massive portrait of Minister Brennan Cooper sitting in his favourite armchair in his study with a collie pup in his lap and several more of his treasured dogs sitting on the floor near his feet.

On the far side of the room, are massive picture windows that offer breathtaking views of the grounds and more of the white leather chairs covered in plastic are scattered about the area. Massive mahogany bookcases flank each window and are filled with Ministry approved books.

As you try to take this all in, you begin to wonder if you are in the correct common room since there is nothing proclaiming that you are in Ravenclaw House. You keep on noticing signs of 'Do Not Touch' or 'Hands Off' posted throughout the room. But off in a corner and blending in perfectly with the walls is a chipped bust of Rowena Ravenclaw sitting on a white pillar.

"Help? Help with what?" Cale asked as he watched Ryan bouncing around like a loony. The younger boy turned around and addressed another boy in the room before slinking off. "What do you need help with?!" He called after him as he pointed his wand at a sofa and used a scrugify charm which didn't little more then scrub a hole into the plastic.

Sho swiped and cleaned with his wand like it was a feather duster. He watched as the disgusting mess was wiped away nicely, white returning to it's former unholy glory.

"Just leave them. No one's used to having a prefect who's nice yet," Sho said to Cale. "Give 'em 2 years."

James turned around and walked back, when passing Barry muttering..."Just wait a moment". He walked over to the prefect. "I have an invention. And I need to spread it. Direly. It just might change the state we're all at here in Cooper's school." He said. "It uses radio waves and ectracity, a type of magically compressed electricity" he said, just starting to explain. "Would you like for me to go on?" he asked.

"Compressed," he said slowly sweeping another scrugify spell around spreading the "Very worn" look around with it. "Electrismaty? What's Electrismaty?" He looked at Sho who was busy cleaning off a curtain. "Sho - do you know what electrismaty is?"

Sho looked over to Cale and rose his eyebrow. The wizarding world really needed some electric lights. Either that or Sho had to find a way to sneak in some touch lamps.

"It's... a form of energy. And it's pronounced 'electricity', Cale. 'Elek-tris-it-ee."

"Electrismasty. Right." He shrugged and continued cleaning up the sofa. "So what exactly does this electrismasty do besides being an energy?" He turned back to the younger boy and sprayed him with his scrugifying spell.

"Well generally it's used to power things... But it could also give you a real jolt," he said chuckling before realizing Cale had no idea what he was talking about.

He cleared his throat and just started cleaning a new section of wall. Hopefully no one heard his little joke... Hopefully.

"Hmm? Power things.... interesting." He turned his attention to the window. "Aguamenti." A jet of water hit the window and the mud ran down the window and puddled at the bottom of it on the window ledge. "Kinda the same idea as steam then?"

"Only far more efficient," he said, getting most of a wall clean.

The walls weren't completely white again. They were clean, but... well the mud had done it's job. The walls were more off white now from having been coated with mud. The furniture was safe though since it had all been in that horrible plastic.

"Mmm well, I don't know what's more efficient then steam. It's clean and it works wonders. " He paused looking at the curtains which were now clear of mud, but still wet. "And speaking of steam, I think maybe..." He pointed it wand at them and ran a heating charm down them.

"Good thinking on that one, Cale," Sho said, plopping onto the now clean couch. "And I'm exhausted. This was all just so... exhausting."

He waved his hands and let them fall onto his sides. His wand bounced on the couch and rolled next to him as he watched Cale steam the curtains. Such was life.

"You know what I could go for right now?" Cale asked as he finished steaming up the curtains. "A nice frozen Italian ice. Honey Dukes has a great frozen Italian ice...it's called Frog's Spit. Ever had one?" He turned around and started steaming the rugs which now looked worn and very very used.

"Frog's spit? I'm afraid I have not tried that yet. What say you and I go get some?" he said, sitting up.

He could use a nice treat right about now. All that cleaning tired him out and he needed a little recharge. Plus, Cale obviously wanted some so he didn't have to venture out alone.

"Now? Sure!" He pocketed his wand and started for the door. "Let's go. The day's a-wasting." He pulled open the common room door. "Maybe we'll run into Connie on the way down there, we can drag him a long. And where did Eddy run off to?"

"Uh... good question," Sho said as he picked up his wand and went for the door. "Should we leave a note? Let's leave a note."

He grabbed some paper and a quill on a study table and wrote out where they were going. Folding it he wrote EDDY on it in huge letters before sticking it on the mantle.

"That should do, right?"

"I think so." He scratched his nose which had started bleeding again. "Mmm...my head's starting to get a little cloudy. I think I'm over hungry. It's times like this I wish I was old enough to apparate. Although, then I'd have to know how to do it."

Sho looked over at Cale and saw the blood. He walked over and tipped his head back. Nothing else was going to stop that bleeding.

"There. Just sit back in a chair and we'll wait for the bleeding to stop," he said, guiding the boy. "And besides, apparating is weird. It feels all... I dunno."

"Huh?" He found himself being forced back into a chair with his nose squeezed. He felt a bit funny now. "Oove asperated eeefore?" He grabbed his nose between Sho's fingers and coughed. "Owww."

"Sorry," he said, grabbing a tissue from a box on the desk where he wrote the desk. "And yes I've apparated before... sort of. My uncle is the one who did the act and I went along for the ride."

He gave Cale the tissue and made sure his head was still back. Cale, of course, wanted to move his head. Sho wouldn't let him though, because he didn't want blood to be staining the floor now.

James nodded. "Then I'll see you later" he said, heading back outside. "I'll be around school...hopefully causing chaos..." he said. "If not, I'm a failure" he told them, walking out.

This was turning out to be the worst first year of school ever. No girls, no fun, no friends, and no girls. Hogwarts was nothing like what David expected. He'd been so swamped with work that he'd only left the common room to go to the library, class or eat.

He slouched down in one of the chairs near the fire. David finally had a chance for some free time, but it had been such a long time since he'd had free time David wasn't sure what to do.
