Excelsior laughed softly at Clifford's words. He always felt in a good mood any time Clifford was around, he was one of those people who could always make him feel happy. "This one is quite a beauty," he said, watching the serpent appreciately. "I'm not sure what kind it is, though, possibly some type of boa."

Flipping through his book, Shel noticed a girl a few seats away from him. "Hello," he replied in a very low voice, making sure no one but the girl could hear him - After all, he didn't want to get caught talking!

Lyra stolled into the first CoMC class of the year with her book bag drapped over her right shoulder. Although it was heavy, she had to look somewhat unnerving. Her eyes drifted from side to side seeking out any trace of her friends, but none where there yet. She knew this was going to be a fun class.

"Oiy, Professor," she calmly spat out lowering her book bag to the ground. "I hope your day has been good so far." She made herself comfortable in calling her uncle Professor around other students. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself, eventhough she had to admit, that might be a little funny if she did.

Clifford gave a shrug and started pulling out parchment and quill, expecting there would be some sort of note taking to do. "I don't have a clue - I just know it's a snake." Boa? What on Earth was a boa?

Kate glanced around the room,it was starting to fill up a bit now

"Okey professor" Ray replied to the professor as he lifted his shield charm now that he was feeling safer.

Amelia strolled into the first COMC lesson, messenger bag slung casually across her upper body and resting on the opposite hip. She readjusted it slightly, as she spotted Josh already in the room. Despite her resentment, she made her way toward the Sixth Year anyway and motioned to the green tinted desk next to him. "May I?" she asked, dropping her bag off beside it and sliding in, regardless of his answer. She pulled her dragon hide gloves out and placed them on the desk, to show she was ready to begin.

"Sir, I believe that it's pronounced hide." I say smiling, "Anyways, how've you been professor?" I continue now looking around the class for a good spot up front.

Vannie wandered into the classroom, her brunette hair hung down her back in plaits. She smiled at the professor as she took a seat in the middle of the seating area.

Loretta walked into class hanging her bag on the back of her seat and putting her dragon hide gloves on her desk neatly. She opened her notebook and took out a quill, she might have to take notes. Being bored she started doodling artistic eyes in her note book. Her grey eyes were drawn to the yellow serpent hanging on branch at the front of the class. Her blond hair lay draped on her shoulders and a small black hairband was in place pulling blond strands back from her face.

Hitachi waited silently for the professor to start class.

Xana entered the class and sat down toward the back of the class.

mathi saw a new boy coming in,she looked around,the class for almost full.She then removed her parchment and quills and got ready for the class.

Dia walked in to the classroom, taking a seat near the front of the class. Brilliant, she thought. Serpents were fascinating.

Shifting slightly in her seat, ready and patiently waiting for the class to begin; Savannah fixed her ponytail that had decided to loosen, and glanced around the room. Absently her hand played with the quill she had set upon the (unsual) emerald shaded desk. The hufflepuff looked back down, doodling abit on a corner of her parchment.

Cora slunk into the class, pulling her hair into a loose ponytail, her bag slung over her shoulder. Huzzah! A seat. By the window. With no one next to it. She threw herself into it, and waved to the Professor.

"Hiii Professor!" She greeted, grinning.

Rhiannon walked into class, rummaging around in her schoolbag, making sure she had her dragon hide gloves. She finally locates them, and looks up, her blue-green eyes scanning the room.

Noticing Amelia sitting over by Josh, she goes over, her ponytail bouncing. Finding an empty seat next to the Hufflepuff prefect, she slips into it. Placing her bag on the desktop, she comments to the other girl with a smile, "Ready for creatures?"

Ariana walked in, well half slipped into the COMC class looking slightly nervous. She wore dark sunglasses to cover her eyes and she seemed to scratch her arms every two seconds as she looked around. She stopped once she saw the snake and flinched. She hated snakes, especially what they represented. Shuddering she shook off the sad thoughts and sighed, turning away from it.

Not going to let a small thing like a snake effect her she smiled as she saw Amelia and Rhiannon and walked over to sit with them. "Hey" was all she said as she placed her bag on the floor beside her and scratched again. What ever she caught must be contagious she thought as she groaned and tried to look alert..

Claudian entered the Professor Clark's classroom and eyed the social divisions of the room for a brief second. He wanted for a moment to sit near Apedemak, but the Sudanese boy had chosen a seat a little too close to her for Claudian's comfort. Seeing that Dia and Xana were on opposite ends of the room, he moved over to where Dia was, taking a seat somewhere between her and a Slytherin boy of Japanese heritage.

Rhiannon turns as Ariana greets her and Amelia. "Hi." She looks closer at the girl for a minute, before adding, "Are you okay? You don't have whatever's wrong with Professor Dresden, do you?" She didn't think that was possible, but wanted to make sure. She still wasn't entirely certain what was going on with the Potions professor.

Ariana scratched her arm again and almost jumped when Rhiannon asked her if she was okay. "What Professor Dresden has?" She repeated, then frowned as she glanced at her over her sunglasses. "I don't think so. I think I have a rash is all." She replied, trying to sound normal. In fact she had no idea what she had. "You wouldn't have any extra snacks on you would you? I'm hungry for some reason." she added shrugging.

She pulled her sunglasses more securly over her face covering her eyes, which were starting to bother her again. Looking up at Professor Clark, she sincerly hoped he wouldn't ask her to remove them; she didn't want everyone to stare.

Willow stepped in the Care Of Magical Creatures classroom, for the first lesson of that subject of the term, The classroom was already crowded and Professor Clark was already in the classroom. She was sure she was not late though, people were still talking, and some of them looked as though, they had just arrived.

After making her to an empty table, that was thankfully, close to the window, she shrugged her bag off from her shoulders and placed it carefully on the floor, before taking sit. Willow was about to open her bag, and look for a parchment, when her eyes narrowed towards the snake that was close to Professor Clark. The animal was yellow, and in Willow's opinion it didn't looked friendly at all. After examinating it for another second, she shrugged, took out the parchment and ink, and waited for the class to start.

Laylee walked into the classroom, thinking that she was late. When she realized that she wasnt she smiled happily and looked around. It was wonderful! The whole room had been decorated for the occasion of what they were learning. Laylee very much hated snakes, but she liked creative classes. Laylee chose a seat in the middle of the class room, making sure that people who were older than her, were next to her. She would do anything she could to protect herself from a real snake.
Laylee got out her books and set them up while she waited.

Liz walks in, and looks at the board. Oh my! Snakes, I didn't expect to have to start there right away, she thought nervously...

She sat as far to the back as she could...

Qaz walked into the classroom and looked at the board. SNAKES!!! She almost turned around and left. Instead, she found a table at the back of the room...hoping it would distance her from any live specimens.

As she sat at the table, she couldn't help notice the beautiful shade of green. She absent mindedly began whistling an Irish Jig.
