| | |  Charms Class - Lesson Three
Unusually, the Charms class was empty as the first student arrived. There is something pleasant about the air of an empty class, though Professor Mao-Macdougal would put it down to the fact that there are no students in it; and the students might put it down to the fact that there is no Professor there.
However, there is a sweet smell wafting through the class, of baking cookies in addition to the normal rose-scent that the professor sometimes trails.
The table is set with a single broomstick of good quality, an almost unused Firebolt. It was all to easy to imagine Professor Mao-Macdougal sitting side-saddle, silhoutted by the moon as a black shape with flying skirts. In fact, it was all too easy to imagine her shoving a child into the oven to bake. | |

Rave gripped the sides of her table with a white knuckle grip. She looked ready to dive under her desk at a moments notice as she cast Tabby a terrified look. BOOYAH? she thought Oh Merlin shes flipped.
As the Professor mention Opteryx, Rave knew the Professor had done this herself. The Ancient Runes Professor would never do somethin to hurt someone else, Rave was sure. Her grip relaxed a bit and she resolved to go to Opteryx after class, it gave her a good excuse.

Though she was still a bit concerned about the professor's behavior, Serena smiled happily at the earning of points for Gryffindor. Goodness knows they needed it. Scribbling down the information, she chuckled to herself at the professor's use of booyah. What a rather interesting turn of events. Perhaps their beloved professor had fallen under a type of spell indeed but not a magical one.

Meanwhile, right at the same moment, an unsuspecting Professor Opteryx was ambling down the hallway outside the Charms classroom, intending to drop by and take a peek at how things were going with Andi ZiZhen's new outlook.
Even Sherlock Holmes couldn't possibly have been prepared for what beheld his senses as he heard what sounded suspiciously like Andi's voice, ringing out cheerily from the classroom.
In something akin to morbid curiosity, he had too look.
"...Oh good Merlin."
He was quite sure the rest of the student body was far too busy being shocked to notice one more shocked person staring into the classroom from the half-open doorway, but in any case...
"...That...was...not exactly...what I meant..." he mumbled incoherently to nobody.

Jen simply stared at the Professor with something akin to shocked wonderment. This was a complete turnaround from the Professor Mao-MacDougal she knew and had heard about. Not that she minded this sudden mood swing, but it did strike her as slightly off.

Emily turned around in her seat as she heard the professor talking to someone at the door. She saw another Professor at the door. Emily smiled to herself getting used to the new Professors attitude although it still struck her as odd.
