The school term started as all did, with confusion on what is actually happening in this Wizarding World of ours. Unbeknownst to anyone, the Cult of Walpurgis was slowly taking over the ministry.
The Cult of Walpurgis has been around for a long time. Elusive as they are, not many realised the existence of the Cult. They are, however, a big concern to the wizarding community as the Cult's objective is to remove the Statute of Secrecy. They wish to expose their world to muggles. They are an international secret "cult" that wish to control both the wizard and muggle worlds.
A man by the name of Ikenna Gevrik was sent to Hogwarts as a “Security Advisor.” Someone who would protect and take care of the students. He tried to befriend the students, and gifts started arriving to certain staff members who seemed to favor muggles, and taught about them. The students didn’t have to learn about muggles in muggle studies… seemed like everyone was teaching about them in one way or another.
Oddly enough, muggles wandered onto the grounds of Hogwarts. Thankfully students sent them on their merry way. Lord Berty Borr was announced as the new Senior Undersecretery, and he in turn cancelled all OWLs and NEWTs.
Gevrik mysteriously disappeared, and the professors seemed to realize they were being used.
Gryffindor took the house cup, Ravenclaw took the Quidditch Cup whilst Slytherin took the Gobstones Cup.
