A little History Lesson now, shall we?

Isobella and Alexandre Bellamonte got married May 11th , 2058. They were both very successful people and the two also had similar backgrounds. Figures right, that two people so alike would get married? Too bad it was just a marriage contract. They were betrothed to each other when the two were just born and to top it off, they had not met each other till one year before their marriage. They hated each other immediately. Isobella had threatened to run away from home and as a consequence, they moved the wedding date up. However, something seemed to click out of no where. Maybe it was a mutual agreement, maybe it was a spell or perhaps a potion. What really mattered was that, as if a miracle had occurred, the two were no longer hating each other. And then another little miracle happened - Orabelle Bianca Bellamonte let out her first cry on May 18th, 2060.

Since she was little Orabelle has been spoiled rotten by her parents. They try to discipline her sometimes but they soon figured out grounding a little girl who has everything to her room probably wasn’t the best idea. So instead they stuck her with her hyper beyond belief cousin when she was misbehaving. Which was also probably not a great idea since a lot of accidental magic tended to happen when the two were near each other. And let’s just say that their parents weren’t exactly thrilled to find that their favorite things were smashed. Perhaps Orabelle’s parents learned more from these ‘punishments’ than Orabelle did. However, just a few more years later, a letter came. And no, it was not from Hogwarts it was from Charm School.

At the age of six, Orabelle attended Charm School until she was of age to go to a boarding school. Charm School prepared her well for her life in Beauxbatons. The letter had arrived and sat on her dresser table once Orabelle got back from Charm School. Her parents were proud of her and Orabelle knew it. From then on, her parents saw little of the little girl.

Orabelle was doing well for herself in Beauxbatons. She had load of friends, great style, good grades and it seemed all so perfect. It was almost like a fairytale. However, like all fairytales, they must come to an end. Orabelle was whisked off to Hogwarts by her parents who wanted Orabelle to stop socializing so much. Needless to say, Orabelle was not happy.

So here she is now, stuck in this dratted school. On the bright side… someone had to have a somewhat decent style right? Oh she missed Beauxbatons so much… *pout*

Ohmygosh. You DON’T Know What I’m like?

Growing up the way she did has made her a bit short tempered. When she doesn’t get what she wants she will throw a fit and stomp her foot seeming more like a four year old as opposed to the little lady she’s supposed to be. But just because she reverts to the age of four when she’s throwing a tantrum, it doesn’t mean that she’s easily pacified. Maybe.

Orabelle is one to hold a grudge. She’s still mad at her cousin for braiding her hair wrong five years ago and there is no sign of her forgiving her cousin yet. Kinda. Well… maybe. It’s a bit easy to bribe her with a gorgeous bag though or a pretty pair of shoes, given she doesn’t have it yet which may be next to impossible.

Miss Bellamonte can be a bit flirty. Over her last summer she had finally broken up with boyfriend number… well… it was either an eight or nine. She can’t quite remember but she does love those presents they give her. She is convinced that she is more in love with the idea of love than being in love which is what keeps her with her current boyfriend.

Though sometimes sweet and loving, she has a mean side. Sarcasm is just one of the services that Orabelle offers and something she is very good at. She always has a rude remark up her sleeve and sometimes, completely unintentionally, she can say something mean out of no where. She claims it’s not her fault because the other person was looking terrible though, which brings her to her next point.

She hates anything ugly. She can’t stand to see poorly matched patterns and colors. It’s just not eye pleasing and she thinks people like that should not step out the door… ever.

She’s one people have feared but if you can somehow manage to be on her good side, you’ll realize that she’s a great friend. She may have secrets that hides but that just means that Orabelle will hide yours too… depending on how close you are though, Orabelle loves gossip. She’s also willing to listen… when she isn’t talking about herself that is.

Orabelle has the tendency to be a drama queen and she may sometimes say the most ridiculous things (and mean it) but she can be quite patient. Photography is something she enjoys a lot, though she'd never admit it, and she can be found with her camera, much like her cousin Selena had been. But if you pester her about it, she might hurt you... or charm you... or something or the other.

The pretty little spoiled princess Orabelle has arrived in Hogwarts and she is determined to get herself out of the school. Even if it means getting expelled.

Jamie loves his family, but overall, isn't very family-orientated. They often embarrass him and he likes to spend lots of time away from home.

Appearance:
Jamie was always a slightly porky kid, always with a shameful haircut, and his first years through adolescence were no different. He has lightish brown hair which falls to cover his ears in a sort of a bowl-over-the-head shape. He is very short and quite chunky, but Jamie knows no different in the looks department because he didn't grow up around many other kids his age. Clothes wise, Jamie hasn't got a clue. He likes to wear colourful stuff but more importantly, he likes to stand out from the crowd. What with not having perfect hair or a perfect physique, having cool clothes is the next best thing! He actually looks quite older than he is, which Jamie sees as a plus. Not because of his height, but his general facial structure.

Another defining feature of Jamie's is that he is SHORT. Shorter than any first year, despite being a third year.

Over the past few years, Jamie adopted a diet to help with his larger physique and it seems to be doing the trick. Even though he is scared of flying, he has been practising because he wants to get more involved with sports. He has also styled his shameful haircut into something that looks less lame.

Personality:

First meeting Jamie, you will find that he is not some shy, awkward outcast, unless he is talking to a girl, but a person with quite a forward personality. He will often tell things how they are and laugh it off with his regular giggle fits. However, if someone decided to criticize him in return, he gets very guarded and angry, then finding himself needing to prove that he is actually awesome. Jamie isn't a smart cookie whatsoever. He hates reading and writing, and he hates having to think about too much at once. Practical lessons are something that would interest him at school, apart from flying. He hates flying, but is trying to change that because flying is 'COOL' and Jamie must be cool and not a wimp. Basically, if he isn't angry with someone, he is a bouncy, energetic and sometimes eccentric person.

Jamie is an easy going child most of the time. He is not the best student academically but his grades are average (or sometimes below), however he is quite lazy and could often miss classes. Although Jamie is often accident prone and sometimes thought to lack critical thinking skills, he is nevertheless brave in the face of danger and can be very resourceful and clever. His major character flaw is his pride, which causes him to take unnecessary risks to show others that he is not a wimp, which in some cases, he certainly is.

Once you have spoken to Jamie for a while, you will discover that he is weird, and doesn't think about things in the same ways as others would. Being naturally funny, and knowing it, Jamie isn't worried about making friends at Hogwarts, however, he has had quite a secluded lifestyle up until now, so he may struggle with it. Girls are an iffy subject for him. He has never ever had a girlfriend and doesn't really know what all the fuss is about. That doesn't deny that he is curious, though...

Background:
Jamie was born into a pureblooded family, and lived in a small town within Ireland with his parents. They weren't particularly well off - money wise - but they got by. His mother is Irish and his father is American, so it definitely had an odd effect on his accent, although it has more of an American hint these days. He was briefly home schooled during his childhood, just to get the writing and reading skills down. Jamie has a common condition called Dyslexia, so he needed extra help with academics before being carted off to Hogwarts. Jamie has been an only child until he was 9 years old, when his sister, Rosie, was born. It caused a rift between him and his parents, because he was sure that they were replacing him for when he dashed off to school.

Jamie's eleventh birthday could not have come sooner for him and he was so excited, that was until his parents decided to home school him for two years instead. It didn't work out so this year, he is actually going to school. His Hogwarts letter arrived again when he was thirteen and he got everything from Diagon Alley almost on the first day upon receiving the supply list. Obviously, not much can be written here due to Jamie's unexciting life so far, and the fact that it has only just begun!

APPEARANCE
+Hair: Long, dark brown, and slightly curly, just like her mother and older sister.
+Eyes: Dark brown, just like everyone on her father's side. Extra big, too, which is just like no one else she knows!
+Build: Sierra has a small build, but she's actually a little taller than the average height for her age. As a matter of fact, her mother is only about an inch or two taller than she is. She seems to be taking after her father when it comes to height.
+Height: 5'2"
+General appearance: Save for her extra big eyes (her best feature, she'll say), Sierra's appearance is an even reflection of both her father and her mother. With her long, dark brown, naturally curly hair, it's not difficult to tell that she could be a twelve-year-old version of Bella Montez and Anna Greingoth-Newell. Sierra even (luckily, she'll say) inherited her mother's naturally tan skin, a trait reflective of the Montez's Puerto Rican roots. Despite how much she closely resembles the appearance of her mother and older sister, though, Sierra is extremely different, you'll see, when it comes to personality and beliefs. She's no Bella Montez or Anna Greingoth. Her facial features, height, and personality leave no doubt that she is Alexander Greingoth's mini-me, as you will soon be able to tell upon meeting her or spending any amount of time with her. More often than not, especially when in the presence of Hufflepuffs ("Puffers") or Gryffindors, Sierra is easily annoyed into an eye roll or a glare. Other times, she has an excellent poker face, and it's difficult to tell if she's content, happy, annoyed, or angry. Consider yourself extremely lucky if she passes even a slight smile or a laugh your way.

ABOUT ME
From the time she was old enough to realize that she was a real witch and what that would mean for her, Sierra has always been a very pro-Slytherin little girl. Her father, Alexander Salazar Greingoth II, was a Slytherin and has always wanted a child or grandchild to be sorted into Slytherin house. Very early on, he saw promise in Sierra and taught her what it truly means to be a Slytherin (in his eyes, of course), and she grew to admire the way the snakes are so ambitious and try extremely hard to achieve their goals.

Sierra will even admit that she's a bit on the cunning side, as well, often times tricking her twin brother into things that could very well get him into a heap of trouble. Once, she managed to secretly get out the house with her mother's wand, and although she didn't really cast a spell with it (she didn't actually know any spells back then, since she was only eight-years-old), she used the threat of a spell to try and convince her brother to overcome his fear of flying and actually get on his new toy broom (her threat didn't work, by the way). When Alex (her twin brother) asked to hold the wand, Sierra reluctantly handed it over--seconds before their mother walked out the house to join them in the backyard. Of course Sierra didn't take the wand back--why would she, when having it would get her into trouble? Deciding it would be much better on her to pretend as if Alex had had the wand all along, Sierra simply stood back and let the cards fall where they may (luckily, neither twin ever got caught and the wand was returned without their parents ever finding out).

While she does in fact consider herself a true Slytherin, it's also true that Sierra isn't intentionally a mean-spirited little girl. She's slightly mature for her age and has a very no-nonsense type attitude. She's very blunt with her opinions and most of the time comes across as extremely sarcastic; but if she isn't overly annoyed by you or doesn't see you as a threat to her own achievements, it's likely she'll at least be civil toward you. She can be nice (sometimes) and actually hopes to make lots of friends, but it's likely at some point her natural instincts--to be ambitious and cunning--will shine through, and she'll attempt to one-up you in something, be it house points, praise from professors, or just normal pre-teenager type things in general. If she considers you a friend, a frenemy, or at least wants or needs something from you, though, she just might end up using her Slytherin traits to help you, as well.

I'm super fond of Slytherin house, my family and friends (particularly my father, because I'm a Daddy's Girl), being a witch, magical means of doing anything, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, being on the Slytherin Quidditch team, my owl and kneazle, trips to the beach (I went to Hawaii this past summer, and I actually had a really good time!), sleeping late, weekends, summer break, sneaking out to Hogsmeade (even though I'm still a year too young), and hanging out with my older sister (...well, when she does get to hang out with me; she's sort of really busy with her own family).
But I do not care for Hufflepuff house, annoying Gryffindors, Kurumi Hollingberry, Lola Jones, overly-excited or overly-friendly people (no one is that friendly; they have to be up to something), Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Divination, Muggle Studies, having to ride the Hogwarts Express to and from school even though I live within walking distance, my middle name, those weird flavors at Florean Fortescue's (like Troll Bogey [ew!] or Corned Beef Sandwich [really, does anyone ever order that?], losing at anything, times when my brother acts like a wimp (Really, Alex? Seriously?), having to wake up early, homework, and Muggle means of doing anything!

History
Alexander Greingoth and Bella Montez were only nineteen-years-old when their first child, Anna Bella, was born. Although both hoped to have at least one or two more children a few years after Anna's birth, the dream was never able to become a reality. Over time, the then-married Greingoths began to accept the fact that one child was all they'd be blessed with, and by the time Anna had reached ten-years-old, they'd pretty much cast aside all dreams of any additional children. That is, until fate decided to step in. Shortly after Anna began her Hogwarts years, Bella discovered that she was finally expecting again--with twins, no less! Despite the fact that the couple was quite surprised--and quite frantic about the thought of multiples, mind you--they managed to pull everything together and prepare for the best possible life for their new babies. Sierra and Alex's family (their parents, older sister, and grandparents) all teamed together to help one another through the sudden twists, turns, and curve balls that comes with introducing multiples into a family.

Once again, Alexander and Bella proved to be wonderful parents, and Sierra and Alex grew up (or, grew to their current age, that is) having what Sierra likes to call the best life anyone could ask for! Knowing their children would be attending Hogwarts once they reached eleven-years-old, Alexander and Bella didn't bother with sending Sierra and Alex to a Muggle school. Neither parent saw the point in introducing them to Muggle-type lessons when most of it would just be forgotten and a distant memory once the Hogwarts letters arrived. Instead, Sierra and Alex were home-schooled, learning the basics plus a little bit of magic, too (by watching and listening, of course, since both were too young and too untrained to perform magic themselves).

On the morning of March 17, 2073 (Sierra's 11th birthday), she got out of bed way earlier than normal (6:51 A.M., to be exact) and waited by the kitchen window for a sign that her Hogwarts letter was on its way. About five hours later (her neck was getting really sore by then), a familiar sound, the sound of an owl approaching, echoed throughout the house. Sierra ran to the front door and opened it wide, giving the owl plenty of room to soar through and deliver the letters. From the moment she and Alex received their letters, Hogwarts was all Sierra could think about. She began wearing at least something green each day, and when she thought nobody was looking, she'd wave a twig through the air and pretend it was a real wand.

Year One; Term 27

Sierra officially kicked off her Hogwarts years by 'accidentally' wandering into the prefects compartment on the Hogwarts Express. The school's student leaders were more than understanding and even let her remain in the compartment for the entire ride. At the start of term feast, Sierra was, as she and her family expected, sorted into Slytherin house. At the same feast, her twin brother became the first ever member of the Greingoth-Montez family to be sorted into Hufflepuff house. This separation drove the already-at-odds twins further apart, as Sierra found it more and more difficult to get along with her 'Puffer Brother'. Alex wasn't the only 'Puffer Child' Sierra couldn't get along with, as she more often than not found herself at odds with most Puffers that came her way. The only two exceptions seemed to be Jake Upstead, who gave her a Slytherin ring at the start of term feast, and Treyen Lockhart, who became her Potions partner after the first Potions for Muggles Club meeting. Together, the two are working on a potion to combat the effects of Alzheimer's.

As a pureblood witch raised in a purely magical home, Sierra found it difficult to keep up in some of her classes. It seemed that more than just the Muggle Studies professor had a sincere interest in using magic to help Muggles, a concept Sierra never really could understand. She somehow managed to pull through, though, and in the end placed first points-wise in her house and second points-wise in the school. She was also a member of the Slytherin Quidditch team, playing as Keeper for the duration of her first term. At different points throughout the year, Sierra received two Flying-related injuries to her left arm; one during the last Quidditch match of the season, and the other during the Flying class final. Lucky for Sierra, her shoulder was able to completely heal both times.

Her first year ended with news that her parents were filing for divorce, ending their twenty-something year long marriage. Sierra spent the summer break adjusting to her new life with her father. Together, the two toured Hawaii with her father's new girlfriend.

EXTRA! EXTRA!
At the end of Sierra's first year, she and her brother were checked out of school one day to have a family meeting with their mother and father. It was during this meeting that the twins were told their mother and father would be divorcing after a twenty-something year long marriage. Because their parents were attempting to make this transition as easy as possible on their two youngest children, they allowed both Sierra and Alex to choose which parent they'd permanently live with. As a result, Alexander Greingoth received sole custody of Sierra, while Bella Montez received sole custody of Alex. The twins have recently spent their first summer away from one another, a separation which just might help them to get along with one another much better in the longrun. As of now, Sierra has adjusted just fine to life with her father. Alexander even has a new girlfriend, a woman Sierra surprisingly gets along with and looks up to a lot.

OOC EXTRA! EXTRA!
For those of you who have been on Snitch Seeker for at least a couple years or longer, you'll likely realize that Sierra is the younger sister of my first character, Anna Greingoth (now Newell). Greingoth was a surname I created back when I first joined the site. It's pronounced 'Green Goth' and is a tribute to Severus Snape. Green, of course, represents Slytherin house, while Goth stands for Snape's black hair and clothes. Neither Anna nor her sister (or any of my characters, actually) are goth, though (I've been asked that several times, lol). I simply used the word as part of my surname, because Snape is one of my favorite characters, and the word reminded me of his appearance. In addition, the name Bella (used as Anna's middle name and Sierra and Anna's mother's first name) is a shortened form of Bellatrix (as in, Lestrange, of course). So there you have it! A bit of OOC trivia-type material as to how I chose some of my family names!

Appearance: Helena is a tall girl for her age, reaching almost 5’3 feet. She has long, dark brown hair, which she usually keeps in gentle curls. Her skin is very pale and her eyes are something between blue and gray.

Personality: Ambitious and hardworking. Clumsy. Odd. Most of the time quiet. She might not like everything, but she never complains out loud. Not exactly open to everyone, she could be a trustworthy friend, once you get to know her. She would never do anything to hurt anyone or anything, not even a fly. Not a liar as well. Yes, she preffers to keep the comments for her, but she would never lie. She’s also a punctuality freak. It’s annoying to wait, but it’s even more annoying for her to know she’s waited for.

Background: Helena was born and raised in Lewisham, England, in a family of long generations of pureblood witches and wizards. Every member of the family was a Slytherin, well known for their ambition and always proving themselves to be the best. However, Helena is afraid that she can’t keep up with her family’s reputation, even though there’s no pressure. No one would mind if she is the one to 'change the tradition'.

At the age of four, when she first rode a toy broomstick, she fell and got a small scar on her left hand. Helena considers that scar an excuse for her biggest fear, flying. Since then, she refused to touch a broomstick. However, she started attending Hogwarts and she eventually had to learn how to properly ride on a broomstick.

Her first year at Hogwarts went well. She made a few friends and a lot of other acquaintances. It wasn’t exactly what she had expected, every class being muggle-centered. But she still enjoyed every class she attended.
