"Ah, Mr. Wordsmith. So glad you're here. We have a very important and grave matter to discuss concerning Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Now where has Chad gone? He nees to present for this too. Well, he's already aware of the basics of the situation so I'll just cover those with Syd and go into details once Chad returns, I suppose.

"Please have a seat. It has come to my attention that several students died during the term, though we are unsure of exactly how they died. Headmaster Bontecou neglected to inform us of these matters until quite recently. And to make matters worse, Headmaster Bontecou is now... missing. Mr. Stryker had gone over to the School to administer the Headmaster's regular Wolfsbane potion, as per our agreement, and he disappeared right before Chad's eyes!"

When the door opened to reveal a very tired Reagan Taylor, Bella's facial expression suddenly fell, and she gave her friend a very questioning look. She figured Reagan wouldn't offer many details about her worries and troubles right now, but Bella hoped her expression would at least let it be known that she was worried about the Minister. Being in the top spot was bound to be hard, especially during the most trying of times.

Bella made her way inside, nodding to the Minister and agreeing to take notes on whatever was discussed and decided on. She took a seat and began flipping through the papers in her briefcase, only glancing up when the Minister mentioned deaths at Hogwarts. Deaths at Hogwarts?!?! Bella was suddenly very, very grateful that her daughter was graduated and married and not back at that castle anymore.

A few moments later, the door opened again, and Syd Wordsmith joined the group. With the meeting ready to begin, Bella smoothed out a piece of parchment and jotted the date on the top of it. Murdered students? A missing headmaster? This didn't sound good at all!

Quickly, Chad knocked on the door and scrambled into the room. Oh...shoot, she is already talking! Scratching his ear nonchalantly, he moved to a free chair and took a seat.

Syd was busy taking notes, thinking this was going to be another easy case- sad, but easy. Then he heard the minister finish and Jake's not-so-quiet exclamation. He dropped his pen onto the table and looked at the Minister in disbelief.

"Hold it! You've gotta be dog'gone kiddin' me! How in tarnation does a... a headmaster of a school just up an' disappear? That school is supposed to be safe. Now I don't need to have to beef up security there because once them parents find out about all this, there ain't gonna be anyone to protect!" Syd said, looking from the Minister to the rest of the room.

She looked back into the eyes of the four people in her office, "We're not entirely sure how it happened. That's why I've assembled you all here. We're going to need to investigate this matter, as well as the matters of the deceased children. If Headmaster Bontecou wasn't missing, I'd be furious with him for withholding the information for so long. The fact that he is missing, and that he went missing from within Hogwarts itself, which before now I didn't even think possible, does not bode well for us.

The Minister was falling apart. Reagan Taylor herself was showing signs of weakness.

This was bad. Wait, no, this was DISASTROUS - and that was the biggest understatement EVER. Overcome by a sudden urge to punch something for being so lazy in the office while children were DYING out in that school. Choosing to keep his silence, Jake merely waited for Syd Wordsmith to answer the Minister's question, hoping it would be something along the lines of "in ten minutes, Minister."

But for some reason, he didn't really think that would be feasible. Ah well - at least they had a team to assemble, which was something.

"Well I'd have ta ask my staff. Now this is a serious matter so I may need all hands on deck. I could get the Aurors goin' unless you'd rather keep it a little more low key. The Law Enforcement Squad or the Hit Wizards could do just fine too," he said, anxious to get out of the room before they lost any more time.

"I'd have to run on over to my office to find out for sure, but I guarantee we will be on it."

Still completely startled by the news she'd just heard, Bella said nothing as she scribbled her quill against her parchment. She made a list of who was in attendance at this meeting, the horrific events that had happened at Hogwarts, and information about Wordsmith possibly assembling a team. As she wrote more and more, she couldn't help but silently agree with what Syd had said a few minutes ago...about there being no one left at the school to protect. She questioned whether or not she and Alexander would have allowed Anna Bella to stay had she still been there.

No, no....definitely not. Ministry employee or not, she had been titled Mother long before Senior Undersecretary. Finished with the documentation, she glanced up and looked each person in the eye as she waited for the discussion to continue.

It felt like ages since Reagan had set foot inside this office. Spending months traveling from foreign Ministry to foreign Ministry may sound exotic and fun (and sure, sometimes it was), but it was also stressful and exhausting. Having to keep up with British affairs while being away so much was much more challenging than doing so from the comforts of her own office. Needless to say, she was quite glad to be back!

But now she needed the assistance of her assistants. Hehe. She opened the door of her office and called to her Senior Undersecretary, "Allie, could you please find Claudian and then both come to see me? I have some things I'd like to discuss with you both."

"I'm pretty sure Claudian's on leave, Minister Taylor, but I'm here---can I do something for you?" she asked. She turned and sort of gave the man she'd been talking with an apologetic look. She'd barely been able to say more than a sentence to him. He was probably only here to talk to the Minister anyway. Usually, no one ever came just to talk to Allie.

Reagan shuffled some papers on her desk before answering what she presumed would be Allie's unasked question, "And no, that's not the reason I called you in here. I was hoping Claudian would be around to reduce some of the burden of this task, but until he returns, we'll have to manage on our own. I'm sure you're more than capable of handling a great deal of this yourself.

"Anyhow, now that the Education Fair is done, we need to plan the special luncheon. We need to determine the location we'd like and book it, figure out the food and order that, design the invitations to send out to the star employees for said luncheon and have them inked, and contact the Daily Prophet to ensure that the reporter and photographer will be present on the day of the luncheon to do their interviews and write up a nice little piece for the next issue."

Allie was the Senior Undersecretary, and even though her job title had the word secretary in it, she was not going to be someone's maid and gopher girl. Besides, an undersecretary wasn't the same thing as a secretary.

Leo waited outside the minister's office, hoping he wasn't interrupting a something imortant or anything. But he had spotted that wonderful wall one Level Two, and he just HAD to ask.

Maybe the Minister would like to join them later.

The least she could have said was, 'I'll make sure Claudian gets on that straight away.' And here, Reagan was going to invite Allie to come with her so they could get to know one another better. Oh well. She'd just go alone.

She scribbled a quick memo on her stationary, "Ms. Carlton, please be sure to give this to Claudian so that he can contact the spa upon his return to set up a private appointment for me. Just drop the memo on his desk. I'm sure he can handle it from there."

Reagan surveyed Allie over the desk for a moment before responding about the luncheon, "I suppose our Private Parlor at the Leaky Cauldron would work just fine. Contact them and reserve the room. I want it decorated like a fancy luncheon, so it shouldn't look like a pub. I would like for it to be a sit-down luncheon with at least five courses - salad, soup, pasta, entree of some kind, and dessert. Talk with them about the menu options and confirm with me before confirming with them.

"We need to send out the invitations to the finishers of our fair. Please get those invitations out as soon as you confirm with the Leaky Cauldron. Since Claudian isn't here to ease the burden, a lot will be on your shoulders, but I will handle the Prophet. I will meet with the Editor in Chief again to ensure that they are able to send over a photographer and reporter, once you tell me that the location is booked.

"Anything else you can think of that we need to do to prepare?"

All of thisss.... *hand movement* could be so livened up with some color. Some swirls here and there. Why not a good ol' fashioned hand print?! Exellente.

Leo skipped slightly before opening the door and entering the office, seeing the lovely spacious place. She had good taste. "Good day, Ministress Taylor!" He inclined his head before closing the door behind him. Ah, and there was Allie! "Hello again, Miss Allie. Hope you are well!" Polite nod.

Turning towards Taylor again, Leo wondered if he might be bothering the two.
"I do hope I'm not interrupting. I could come back later." Yes, that wall could do with a bit more staring.

Hmm...maybe Allie shouldn't have been so quick to get upset with her brand new boss. The woman seemed harmless enough and really...all she'd asked Allie to do was call in a few house elves and pencil in a spa treatment. It wasn't like she'd asked her to fold all her clothes and do all her shopping.

Although, Allie wouldn't have minded making today a nice shopping day.

Still, though...she really shouldn't have been so quick to ignore what the Minister had asked of her. Sigh. Reagan was even calling her Ms. Carlton now instead of just Allie---that couldn't be good. The Senior Undersecretary smiled at the Minister as she accepted the memo for Claudian. "Sure. I'll make sure he gets this," she promised.

She grew quiet as the Minister described exactly what she wanted The Leaky Cauldron to look like. As each detail was made, Allie nodded and made a mental note. "I've got it, and I'll take care of it all right away. There's nothing else I can think of right off the bat, but if something comes to mind, I'll let you know. Oh, and I'll let you know what I hear from The Leaky Cauldron, too." Allie knew that Leo was here for a visit, so she thought it might be nice to head back to her office and he and the Minister talk. "Is that all for now?" she asked Reagan.

Reagan folded her hands on the desk, not sure what about his tone made her a little nervous to hear what was going to follow. Reagan spoke somewhat cautiously, "I am familiar with that wall. What exactly would you like to do to 'liven it up' as you say?"

She grew quiet as the Minister described exactly what she wanted The Leaky Cauldron to look like. As each detail was made, Allie nodded and made a mental note. "I've got it, and I'll take care of it all right away. There's nothing else I can think of right off the bat, but if something comes to mind, I'll let you know. Oh, and I'll let you know what I hear from The Leaky Cauldron, too." Allie knew that Leo was here for a visit, so she thought it might be nice to head back to her office and he and the Minister talk. "Is that all for now?" she asked Reagan.

Reagan knew that Allie was capable of accomplishing all the tasks that had been requested of her and she'd do it well. Reagan often asked the most (some might say too much) of those who she deemed most competent. "That will be all, Ms. Carlton. Thank you."

Allie remained quiet as she waited for the answer to the question she'd asked the Minister. If her work here was done, she could return to her office and get started on the preparations right away---and if it wasn't...Merlin, she hoped she could remember all those mental notes she just made! The Minister was oin fact done with Allie for now, though, so the Senior Undersecretary just nodded and smiled before ducking out of the office and heading back to her own.

I just like to offer my employees a chance to get intouch with their inner child. Get them to....reconnect and inspire them to think as and for the youth."

"I'm a painter, and it would be lovely to have the team engage in some painting of the wall, under my supervision ofcourse. Something that can make them feel at home here."

Reagan listened to what Leo was telling her, trying to read between the lines to truly get to the point. She asked frankly, "So then you want your employees to paint a mural of some kind?" Reagan considered the man's idea. She actually kinda liked it. And if the mural came out bad, well, the Magical Maintenance crew could always paint over it or strip the new paint. And if it came out really good, she could try to get some good publicity for the Ministry with it. Hmmmm.

"How do you plan on going about this project. You're not all just going to stand in front of the wall and paint whatever all willynilly, right? You're going to have a plan or a design first before you go in?"

A mural of some kind... YES! "S- Yes, that is correct." Leo nodded, thankful he hadn't actually finished that spanish 'yes'-word. Cannae speak in another language to your boss, can you?
He smiled at the Minister, regarding her as she seemed to be thinking this through. Hopefully it didn't sound like a bad idea to her.

Uh... Er, he had been planning to just...go crazy on the wall, but seeing as Taylor didn't look like she thought it was a good way of going about to paint a mural... "Ah," he laughed softly, "Well... I did imagine a theme, perhaps? Working in the Department of Education is all about making responsible choices for our youth...and be creative about it to let them be creative.

So how about letting them paint a tree...representing the growth of our youth. And by the tree top, each person in the team could paint one thing they wanted to be when they...'grew up', or something they were inspired by. Sort of a way to say you should always reach for your dreams and always have faith..." Sigh. Oh gosh, he was getting all teary eyed. Snapping out of it, he took a deep breath, smiled again and waited to what Miss Taylor could say.

"A tree, hmm? That sounds appropriate. I like it. Do it. Just be sure to hand in your expense report for the supplies once you've finished. And maybe take some photographs of the progress. I definitely will be popping in to take a look at some point because this project of yours has me quite interested. Good luck to you with it.
